Why I Hate Starbucks...

If I'm paying $9 for two drinks, there'd better be some alcohol in it.

I NEED COFFEE - the more the better. I wish I didn't but I do.

If I don't have coffee in the morning I get a terrible headache.

Well, I kind of feel the same way, Ranatra. And, who knows? I have no clue what I ordered so it's possible my 15 yo tricked me. :teeth:

I'm so glad I started this thread--I had no idea how many fellow non-coffee drinkers there were. Non-Coffee People Unite! :cheer2:

Count me in! I hate coffee. I never drink coffee, or tea either. My husband does not drink coffee or tea. We don't have any in our house. I have never even stepped inside a Starbucks.

I also have a fifteen year old daughter, so I know how that goes! The closest I've come to ordering anything in the coffe line, was for my daughter. A few times we've gone through the drive-through line at Dunkin' Donuts before school, and she's ordered a Vanilla Chai. The first time she asked me to order one for her, (what is it with fifteen year olds not being able to communicate in public!?!), I looked at her like she had two heads. You want a what!?!

I didn't even know what it was, and I'm still not sure. Evidently, it's the "in" thing to be seen walking around sipping coffee, or something similar, in the wee morning hours of high school life. I've noticed that when I drop my daughter off at school, half the kids are walking around with a cup of something from Dunkin' Donuts. I don't really think she particularly likes the Vanilla Chai, but enjoys carrying it around. :)

Now, if you're looking for Pepsi, you've come to the right place! We are all huge lovers of Pepsi. Coke is fine, also!

Well, in the case of my dd, luvflorida, she knows that I'm a little misty that she'll be going to college in 3 years so she can manipulate me into doing things for her because I know I won't be able to do it for much longer. :rotfl2: I think the coffee at school thing is going on here, too--I drove her and a friend to school one day and they asked me to stop at the coffee place around the corner. I refused to go in that time, though!

Oh, and the whole Coke/Pepsi thing? Here's a secret about me that will make some people cringe--I buy whatever brand is on sale. :lmao: Makes absolutely no difference to me--I can taste the difference but I like them both.

So no pop bashing here, gang--we are COFFEE BASHERS, first and foremost!

:rotfl2: My fifteen year old will be going off to college in TWO years. Yikes! She is still VERY dependent on mom and dad, even to the point where she wants me to sleep in the extra twin bed in her room from time to time. I asked her why she is lookng at colleges on the west coast, and she said, "Because I know wherever I end up going, you guys will be right behind me." :rotfl: :rotfl:

She's probably right!
