Why Do people Hate Minivans So Much?

My grandmother drives a minivan and I actually love it! I am 22 and I drive a Nissan Maxima and I actually prefer driving her car over mine. I think she has a Chrysler Town & Country. It drives very nicely and I love all the space. I obviously don't have a minivan but if the time ever comes where I need more space than a sedan can offer, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase one.

I find the not what wanting to drive a "mom mobile" excuse very funny.
I guess SUV drivers don't look around and see other moms driving them. Or even look at what other moms are using to drop their kids off at elemantary school.

I do agree that there are cases where a minivan doesn't work. Like towing, back country camping (KOA / National parks don't count). But I will take my dads 93 Ford E-150 (full sized van) over any fullsized suv or truck. The ball to rear tire distance is mutch shorter and that means less swaying because the trailer can apply less leverage.

Also, try fitting 8 people + 1 weeks luggage + 1 dog and carrier inside a Surburban. Then try it in a full sized van. Oh by the way, the drivers seat is high enough to look down on Surburban drivers.
