Who's Turn Is It To Throw Up Today? A Feb 2014 Wedding TR - New TR link 10/27!!

I think this update will be short on words and heavy on pictures. Every time I ride the Safari, I tell myself that I’m not going to take as many pictures since I have so many already. Then the ride starts and I see the animals and I just have to shoot away. So sit back and enjoy the million or so I took this time around!

The wait time of 10 minutes was accurate and it wasn’t too long before we boarded our truck. It was a little chilly this morning which was good as the animals were pretty active.

Some of the hippos were out of the water and I was very happy with the next two shots.

The crocodiles were being their usual lazy selves.

We headed out onto the Savanna but unfortunately the Giraffes were all pretty far away so I didn’t get a lot of pictures this time.

A few more Savanna pictures.

For once the Mandrill monkeys were visible and I got a few shots.

Moving on to the Elephants

Next we came upon a bit of a standoff between a White Rhino and one of the antlered animals. I can never remember the names of all of those.

There were actually some zebras out although not in the place they were originally supposed to go.

When we came to the Lion rock, there were two females and a male out sunning themselves. That’s the first time I’ve seen more than one female out at a time. Only one of them was sitting up enough to get some pictures.

I haven’t seen the Warthogs out in a while, has anyone else? But there was an Ostrich in that area.

At the very end where the zebras were, they’ve now got these guys.

And that was the end of our Safari. Not too bad animal wise and Bob and Pat seemed to really enjoy the experience.

I do not believe I have ever seen the hippos out of the water. Great shots.

Haha, that's always the way. "Oh I already have LOADS of safari pictures, no need to get any... Oh look a Giraffe!!"

WOW, I think I've seen the Mandrills a grand total of once... and they were being very affectionate if you get my meaning.

I can never get enough Safari pictures!!!

The antler that was facing off with the White Rhino is a Bontebok! :thumbsup2

When I took the Backstage Safari tour in September the tour guide told us that they moved the zebras into the main area since they were always hiding in the trees at the end, which defeated the purpose of having them out.

The antelope at the end now is Greater Kudu. They are critically endangered. I believe the guide said there are only 1200 left in the wild, but I could be wrong on that.

I saw the warthogs in September. They aren't always out though.

So jealous that you saw 2 lioness and the lion. I've never seen more than one of each out.

Awesome pictures of the safari You know its my favorite place too and like you have 1,000s of pictures of the animals but hey have to take more Really enjoyed looking at yours, so calming to me I needed this Thanks as always for sharing

ohhhh The hippos came out PERFECT!!! Love the loins they are so majestic! Never saw the monkeys.. they scare me after read a book from Dean Koontz... evil little monsters..

I think the whole 'I'm not gonna take pictures on the safari' thing is something that never ends up working once you get on. I mean... the animals! They're amazing! :rotfl:

Joining in, sorry I'm so late! I have to go back and read everything, but I just wanted to make sure I subbed before I forgot! :cool1:

Wow, Ariana you pictures are fabulous. I have never seen the Hippos out of the water or the rhino engaged with another animal. Usually the lions are so well hidden I can't really see them.

Glad everyone enjoyed the safari.

I finally got caught up. Loving all your pics!! The safari was awesome. I take lots of pics, but they don't turn out the best. Dan gets better ones always.

I'm glad you put Bob in his place. Some people don't realize how they're coming off. After all your efforts, you didn't need his negativity!

I'm late but here! Looks like a good start to your trip. I like reading about all of the new little features!

I am all caught up...phew!

Sorry it was so crazy, busy at the food court (cheerleaders--UGH) and that you missed your FP+ for Great Movie Ride and then stood in line and it broke down.

Great pics on R&R and TOT. I love TOT as you know.

I'm glad you are pin trading for other pins besides Pluto.

I love the PP pictures in front of the Tree of Life...those turned out great.

And, as always, you got great safari pictures.

Great safari pics! Especially love the ones of the zebras and female lion!

Thanks, I had some luck this time!

I do not believe I have ever seen the hippos out of the water. Great shots.

That was the first time I've ever seen them out myself athough I have seen a picture on other TRs.

Joining in!

:welcome: Thanks for following along!

Haha, that's always the way. "Oh I already have LOADS of safari pictures, no need to get any... Oh look a Giraffe!!"

Yep, I'm as bad as Dug with a squirrel!

WOW, I think I've seen the Mandrills a grand total of once... and they were being very affectionate if you get my meaning.

That would have been an interesting experience. :rotfl: I have seen them before but that was the best picture opportunity I've had.

I can never get enough Safari pictures!!!

Me neither!

The antler that was facing off with the White Rhino is a Bontebok! :thumbsup2

Thanks as always for the animal info, I'm so bad with remembering names.

When I took the Backstage Safari tour in September the tour guide told us that they moved the zebras into the main area since they were always hiding in the trees at the end, which defeated the purpose of having them out.

That makes sense. I need to take that tour sometime!

The antelope at the end now is Greater Kudu. They are critically endangered. I believe the guide said there are only 1200 left in the wild, but I could be wrong on that.

I just love their horns, so pretty.

I saw the warthogs in September. They aren't always out though.

I think they may only be out when it's warmer and I tend to go when it's cooler.

So jealous that you saw 2 lioness and the lion. I've never seen more than one of each out.

I was pretty shocked to see that! I don't think I've even seen pictures in another TR.

Awesome pictures of the safari You know its my favorite place too and like you have 1,000s of pictures of the animals but hey have to take more Really enjoyed looking at yours, so calming to me I needed this Thanks as always for sharing

Thanks, glad you enjoyed seeing them!

Fantastic shots from the safari. :thumbsup2

Thanks, I was pretty happy with them this trip.

We'll get her over to the Photography board games eventually :)

What, with my little point and shoot? I couldn't keep up. ::yes::

ohhhh The hippos came out PERFECT!!! Love the loins they are so majestic! Never saw the monkeys.. they scare me after read a book from Dean Koontz... evil little monsters..

I was so happy with that hippo shoot. Hmmm, don't think I've read that Dean Koontz one.

I think the whole 'I'm not gonna take pictures on the safari' thing is something that never ends up working once you get on. I mean... the animals! They're amazing! :rotfl:

I know, I just can't help myself when I see them!
