Looks like things are off to a good start so far! Boourns for the cheerleaders though, hope they weren't too crazy around the resort! We definitely witnessed some big tour groups during our park days but I don't think anything was TOO bad…minus the group of 13 girls that all needed solo pictures with peter…. bahaha

I loved the fact that I didn't have any wait at the airport.

This was really the only day the rain messed with our plans! I was really happy that our rooms were ready so we didn't have to leave our bags with bell services.

Wow, my head is spinning after all those introductions! I'll try to keep everyone straight.

I think I'd go nuts if I had to wait at the airport instead of heading right to ME. I'm just a little bit impatient!

Hope those cheerleaders were well-behaved while you were there.

Sorry it's so confusing that many people certainly made for an iteresting trip!

I was not fond of waiting at the airport but since I was the unofficial tour guide I had to make sure all of my party was well taken care of!

Other than crowded buses and food court, the cheerleaders didn't bother me.

Oh no... If I would have known you were going to read that book while waiting and during your flight - I would have told you to bring a different one - excellent book, don't get me wrong... but I haven't had the nerve to completely finish reading it, because I get through one or two stories and I am bawling like a baby... Such a tear jerker. Dean is an amazing writer and the book is amazing... It just makes me cry - that's all.

Luckily I'm pretty good at controlling my tears so I didn't openly cry while reading. I did have to pause once in a while after certain stories to get my self together! I still have a few more stories to go and then my brother wants to read it.

Rain... WHAT??? Seriously??? YOu can't go to Disney and have rain... It's just not possible.

I know, that day was the most rain I've had at Disney on any of my last 6 trips!

Loved meetin everyone and loved seeing your check in pictures.

I am so excited to hear about the rest of this trip - it's gonna be awesome!

I actually thought it was a myth that it rained in Orlando. My last five trips had very little rain. I think with the full day we had on this trip it was more rain than all of those 5 trips combined!

Wish the night I was heading up was not so bad on the weather. I would have run into it half way there. Then the couple of hours there and then the entire way home as fast as the front was moving.

Funny thing is, we never saw the bad weather. We were eating at Sci Fi during the storm and by the time we left, it was just raining gently.

There were a lot of cheerleaders there that week. I never had a problem with them and the guys in our group enjoyed the area around the pool a little too much .

Haha, I don't know why I found it funny but you're remark that "Luckily I passed that" in regards to the hand test made me giggle. Like you were worried you might not???

Well, you never know do you? That would be my luck to get pulled aside because they found some weird substance on my hands.

I am indeed VERY familiar with that book, though I haven't read it. And clearly we need Southwest flying from here. I love the flight attendant stories.

You should definitely read the book if you get a chance, it was really good. Southwest is a lot of fun to fly, I had an even better flight on the way home but that's a long way off in this TR.

Uh oh. I hope that "Cheerleaders in full force" isn't a bad omen.

Well, there were a lot of cheerleaders that week. It made for some pretty crowded buses and the food court was crazy. Other than that, they weren't too bad.

Yeah, Carrie Ann is here! I promise I won't disappoint but I only took pictures the first morning because I ate the same thing every day. I will say the bagels were a bit disappointing this trip, they got progressively staler as the week went on.

That picture is one of my favorites from the trip too! It was totally accidental because I was really just trying to get the sign.

I think the upgrade was due to either the abundance of cheerleaders in the other buildings or the wedding.

While I never actually said the chapter title out loud I was sure thinking it the whole time we were eating. But first, we were heading to our rooms. Our location turned out to be ideal, we were on the back side of the building away from the pool so it was much quieter. Disney must know that I like my ice at night because for the fourth trip in a row, we were only a few doors from the ice machine. As soon as we got in our room I started taking pictures. Of course I’m sure you’ve all seen pictures of the All Star rooms before.



















I stepped outside of our room and took some pictures. We were right on the corner and the first two doors you can see in the picture on the back wing were where John & Jocelyn and Bob and Pat were.





Once everyone dropped off our bags we headed back to the food court. It was pretty crowded that afternoon with tons of cheerleaders in line. The sandwich/salad line and the burger line were pretty long so I headed to the pizza/pasta line. I was wanting to try the new Build Your Own Pasta anyway. Since the menus were recently changed I took pictures of some of the menus.







Everyone went in different directions so it was hard for me to help them all. I was trying though because this was the first time everyone was using the dining plan. I finally gave up waiting and went and checked out and headed to the very back of the food court where Morgan was still handing out welcome bags. I made a deal with my gang. If I got back to the table first, I would take pictures of their food. If they got there first, they could start eating and I wouldn’t bother with the pictures. Well since I was the first at the table this time, I got pictures of everyone’s food!

I got Spaghetti with meat sauce and topped it off with a piece of chicken. Oh and I told everyone not to get their refillable mugs yet so we didn’t have to run them back to the rooms. That was an epic fail as I was the only one who listened.



For dessert I got a brownie.



Here’s the rest of the food that everyone got. I have no clue at this point which meal belongs with each person.











Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. My chicken was pretty good but the pasta was cold. I could tell it had been sitting a while before it was served to me. Oh, and Mom got the veggie pizza and said it was good but pretty soggy in the middle. My brownie was just ok, it was kind of dry. I should have given the new Gelato a try but I didn’t want to have to go back and get it later.

While we were sitting there, Morgan’s kids and Sadie joined in a little dance party that was going on right next to our table.

I didn’t walk around to get more pictures because it was very crowded with cheerleading groups. I did snap a picture of these cute lights that were above the dance area.





Since I got to the table ahead of most of the rest of our party, I was done eating first so I went and got my mug since everyone else did. They only had purple and green mugs left so I ended up with purple since I got green last trip. And then we sat and sat and sat while everyone else slowly ate and talked. Our first FP+ was for the Great Movie Ride from 2:10 to 3:10 and I was watching the time tick by and realizing that we were not going to make it. I logged onto the MDE app and tried to change it to a later time but there was nothing available except Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I just hoped that the line for GMR wasn’t too long and we could just do standby.

Finally I noticed my brother getting antsy too so I asked him if he wanted to go with me to run everyone’s mug back to the rooms. He did so we gathered everyone’s mugs and Jocelyn joined us. I told Mom to meet us in the Lobby and if they needed a restroom there was one right by the gift shop.

John, Jocelyn and I quickly made our way back to the rooms, dropped off mugs, used the restroom and then headed back to the lobby. It had finally stopped raining but it was still cloudy and a bit chilly.

When we got back the rest of our group was nowhere to be found. I went back to the Food Court and they were STILL sitting at the table. I got them up and moving and then of course we had to make a bathroom stop. I took a few pictures while we waited.





So finally at 2:45 pm we headed out to the buses to catch a ride to our first park of the trip.

I feel for you. I've gone to WDW with parents and siblings. It's not fun trying to marshall everyone to get moving; especially when you know what it could be like at the parks; and they've never experienced it before.

Shame about the mediocre food. It all looks good. But cold and dry should never be used to described food you chew. Beer and Chardonnay? Completely different.

Honestly, it's amazing to me that the All Stars seem to be better themed than POP. I do love POP, but I still find it interesting.

Now THAT is a job I would love to have like the CM's at All Stars. All you have to do is play. Sounds like .

It's so funny to me now. When I traveled in a group I was ALWAYS so anxious to get moving. I hated wasting time and it always drove me . But on my solo trips, I tended to stop much longer. Go figure.

You know, I HAVE seen (and taken) my fair share of pictures in All Star rooms, but the rooms seem to have changed since I last stayed in one! So it's interesting to me, at least. Hahha

Oh man, times like those can be pretty aggravating, where everyone else is content on hanging out and not in a hurry, and you just want to GO!
