Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

We'll be there October 2-8, along with my friend and her family, my sister and her family, my Dad and stepmom, and maybe my brother and his family. Could be a group of 18!! I am so excited!!

We have 3 rooms at Pop and 3 at ASMu, but may need to all switch to ASMu if 3 rooms at Pop don't open up for the free dining.

I hope it won't be TOO hot! We went in November 2003 and it was in the low 90s!!

Hi! :wave2: Will be visiting WDW October 3 thru 8, and staying at PC. Party includes myself [43], mother [70], sister [41], her 4 kids [3 boys ~ 18,13, 7; 1 girl ~ 16]. I visited MK a couple of times last year, and fell in love, so I wanted to share that 'Disney feeling' w/ my family. :goodvibes Plus, we had some special birthdays this year ~ mom turning 70, nephew #1 turning 18 and graduating, nephew #2 will be 13 next month, and of course sweet 16 for my niece! So, I decided this would be my birthday present for everybody this year! I'm paying for the rooms [2] and the tickets; mom, sis, and I will each be paying for our own food. I'm in the adoption process, but I haven't had my homestudy scheduled yet, so I'm thinking it's unlikely I'll have my own child with us :sad2: ~ this time.

In any event, now that it's less than 100 days left, I'm beside myself with anticipation. :Pinkbounc I've been checking out several different sites and boards, but the amount of info on this forum is staggering! I'm trying not to overplan, but everytime I think I'm done something else pops up that is amazing! It's a good thing I'm getting us all Fla res Seasonal APs, so we can go back again in a few months if we want!

yeah eeyore isn't that the truth. Like I said when my hubby got deployed I was so scared and lonely cuz he was a reservist and this was our first deployment and I had NO clue what to expect. Unfortunately I gave out some dates he was leaving home and boy did I get reamed LOL. I have never given my address or even my exact town I live in. I usually just give people a general region.

I know what you mean about being too trusting. You think you know these people and then someone who you thought was a nice lady turns out to be a guy or some other crazy thing LOL.

Don't worry though. Having a good nature is a GOOD thing. I am like you and could never be mean or evil and I guess those of us who are good people don't ever think to do sick stuff to people so it doesn't dawn on us to be careful or afraid.

Hi all! :wave2:

Me, my husband, my son 12, my son 3, and daughter 1 , will be going Oct 17th-26th. I am so excited. I havent been since 2000. This is the first big trip for my two youngest. I know they will love it. And so will I :bounce:

We will be staying @ windsor hills. I wanted a microwave and refrigerator, but could not budget for one of the disney villas. So it will be a townhome @ windsor hills for us. I cannot wait to go!!!  :cheer2: :cheer2:

Oh man, I thought I lost this thread, on page 6 it was!! :rotfl:

I'm lonely!! :earseek:

 I have to plan for next week to make some AR... now that i have fRee dining!! Only trouble, I have no one to help, no one to bounce ideas off of... no one to whine too... oh wait, I can go on the DIS!! :rotfl2:

Its just so much more complicated with my parents along!! They dont think they'll go in the parks, and I dont think we'll come out of them :rotfl2: and we want to be together!!! :rotfl: Challenges and opportunities, and it all lies with great planning, strategic use of their 5 day passes!! :wizard:

Well, eeyore...what's your plan? Are your parents staying with you? You'll have to refresh my memories about your plans.

JUST A NOTE FOR ALL MY FRIENDS...

you may have read on the threads about Coppertone Continuous spray SPF 30. Well, we went to Kings Island in Ohio Monday and used this stuff. WAY COOL! This stuff is awsome! It doesn't look and feel all greasy. We did water rides and the water parks and I only reapplied once to everyones cheeks (I don't know if they were red because of the sun, or because it was 200 degrees there that day). My DD and I were pretty ghoastly and we don't even have a hint of red or anything. DH and DN10 had a pretty good tan going, but no burns there either. Just wanted to inform everyone. I will be buying it again. :cool1:

the Avon spray is spf 30 and has bug repelent in it...my friend has some and it is pretty cool!! We get a lot of bugs around my area due to the river being so close...could try that too. Think hers cost 5 dollars but she said they were going up to 10, I won't be buying it for that price, yikes!! Thanks for the imput!

:cheer2We are going from October 2nd to the 14th. We are staying at All-Star Sports. We have never been in Ocober but are looking forward to it. Our favorite thing to do is everything. We don't miss out on anything. Its just my husband and I and that is why we are staying so long

WELCOME Daisy2 :cool1:

Thanks for the tip Tikipoo !

Well, I'm no longer lonely! :rotfl: DD8 came into the room and demanded to know if we were going to Disney in "2005, or 2006"!! :rotfl: (I had been telling people we're going in 2006, but planning on 2005 - not too sneaky eh? :rotfl: I couldnt lie, so we talked, I made DD a poster with all the dates, with stickers to put a sticer a day, cross out a date a day calendar...

So I made dh read thru a few menus, and I asked dd for her opinions... she was excited :Pinkbounc about LTT for her bday dinner...

Anyone else hoping to do a F&W for the senses or spend $100 (I think I read that price) again, another 'wrench' I'll plan and make an AR for someplace, the July 25 I'll hope to get in... and have to rearrange... :smooth:

This is FUN!! :rotfl:

Looking forward to the Food and Wine Festival and the Funai Golf Classic. Will be staying at the Beach Club. (Close to the Food and Wine)

We are going Oct 1 - Oct 8. Myself, my wife, her sister, our brother-in-law, their three kids (7, 5, and 3), her mother, her father, my mother, and my father.

With the exception of me, my wife, and my parents, this will be their first trip to WDW.

We are staying at Pop Century (the first time for any of us in a Value resort).

I have also decided to try a trip report this time. I figure with all these characters, I will surely have something to say.

We're gonna hit the MNSSHP on the 6th.

Wish me luck.

Once we're there, if you don't here from me in 24 hours, send help. Oh, and make sure Uncle Edward gets my Legends of Nascar Commemorative Plate set complete with 24k gold plating and glossy finish. He's been eyein' it for years. Says the one with Richard Petty huggin' his momma makes him tear up.

Good times.

We(my wife, 8 & 4 year old Sons) will arrive at SSR on October 16th and leave October 24th. And they aske EVERY day when they are going.

Holy cow. Looks like the first week in October is going to be rocking!! Lots of us going

Try making them a calendar! DD8 loves looking at it, seeing all the days to go (as well as that many stickers!) really is helping me!! (Its like the calendars we make for the holidays, where they use to stick/glue a cotton ball on a tree to count down the days...)

I talked to my traveling party .. DH and MIL last nite and they both agreed to extend our stay by one night so we will now be flying home on Sunday, 10/9 instead of Saturday, 10/8. I'm not terribly excited about the potential holiday weekend crowds but a crowded day at Disney World is better than a quiet day at home.

Send pixie dust my way that the CM I get when I call in at noon is nice and doesn't give me grief about making the change. I called last nite to be sure it was even possible. I gave up waiting after 15 minutes for an answer from the CM who was checking .. she called me back 35 minutes later to say it was possible. It took that long to determine if a room is available. How long is it going to take to make the change and change airfare. AAUGH!!!!! :rolleyes1

Yippee, I start calling for ps on Sunday! Anyone know when October hours come out?

my B-day is on the 8th of Oct and we will be leaving for wdw on the 14th so im not going to be there on my birthday but we are still triying 2 get mnsshp tickets!

I've been using this site... altho I dont think they are taking into account the Columbus Day Crowds tho! http://www.touringplans.com/BestDays.htm

So I dont know if it will help at all, but its a place for me to start!! I cant tell you how many different pieces of paper I have with our week down the one side, with columns on top.... So I keep trying different things, trying to figure out what will work for OUR group of diverse people!! Add to that I am planning on splurging for one of the F&W tastings... and that will throw off any ARs' I make (except for MNSSHP, that's solid!!) :wizard:

Anyone going the first week of October that would like to share their "itinerary" I would love to see it.

This is my latest revision: (it seems to change by the hour)

Sunday 10/2 -- AK Donald's Breakfastosaurus
Monday 10/3 -- MGM Lunch at Sci Fi
Tuesday 10/4 -- MK CRT; Dinner at CP before Spectromagic and Wishes

Friday 10/7 -- EMH at M.K. prior to Chef Mickey's at 10:30; return to Epcot for Le Cellier for DN
