Who's Going in October 2005??!!*MNSSHP dates & info*

Kristina, have you started making plans for your ADR's? That's when I started writing down the costs of the Buffets I'd like (Crt, 1900, LTT, Ohana, H&V) those came to about $27 per person! That didnt include our lunches, or breakfasts (we do those in the rooms! But will eat at the parks counter service.. I just added up MY portion - and went HOLY MOLEY - what WAS I thinking??? I then added an 'anticipated' room rate (FL Res. last year $99 to $79 :confused3 that came out to at best $300 or $210 savings for the 7 nights, then I looked at my food spending... and I about :faint:

Viola at CRO just called to tell me it WILL work out!! (not about getting back in at POFQ... but I havent mentioned that part yet! :rotfl: ) but she called and since I bought my MYW online thru WDW, they'll let me exchange them for the pkg deal!! :Pinkbounc

Hello everyone! I am new to the boards, this is my 2cd post :) I just purchased my Halloween tickets today for the 6th & made ADR's for LTT. The earliest I could get was 7:35 though. Hoping I can call later & see if something earlier opens up. If not I will keep it, we have not eaten here before. This trip will be just myself & ds 11 & ds 8. We have been once before to MNSSHP in 2000, can't wait to go again! We will be staying at PC Oct 2cd - 8th. Free dining, Food & Wine Festival, & MNSSHP who can resist :cool1:

Yay eeyore45 :cheer2: good for you! I called my travel agent and asked about getting in on the free dining too. She said that she would do some figuring and get back to me, but I had to have 2 reservations because we are staying 15 nights. There are 2 of us, and we would need one base ticket for each reservation, making 4 tickets at 60 dollars per. However, our dates are dates are Sept. 27 through Oct. 12 and I'm thinking we could just do the free dining plan from Sept 27 until it expires, then use our AP's!
I still haven't had a chance to sit down practically every meal, although I have a list of PS's I am going to make for us and there are a lot of them! One thing though, and I guess it isn't an issue if we were to save alot of money, but we wanted to do Universal/IOA in the middle of our first week, and soon after Sea World too. I guess that means, if we are able to do the free dining, that we would have to wait with those parks until the end of our trip when it has expired. Kind of a bummer, but I guess we would live :flower:!

Otherwise, yes lovesdumbo, we are planning on getting the Dining Experience, because even that discount is pretty darn good in itself. Only, I want more...hehe :teeth:

tinknme, welcome to the boards. This is the greatest Disney site ever, it's just huge and there is so much information! We too will also be going on the 6th, and haven't a clue what to dress up as, and really, I doubt we ever will. Really no imagination! One thing, is LTT really all that great? I know eveyone just loves it, so it must be, but I can't get excited over the menu. We are thinking of doing Crystal Palace instead.

Have a wonderful trip. Don't forget to get a ticker too  .

Thanks Kristina! I have no Idea what we will be wearing either. I have been looking at costumes for the boys & was thinking of getting a poodle skirt for myself lol I want something easy & cool in case the weather is to warm. We have eaten at CP twice, once for breakfast & once for lunch. It is very good, but wanted to try something different this time. Hopefully we will not be to disappointed.

Hi I am new to the site but not too disney. I already view 3 other popular disney sites and just found out about this one through my 2005 unoficial guide.

Just can't get enough of disney sites and am ALWAYS looking for new tips.

My family and I live in CA and try to go to Disneyland at least once a year and have been to the world once and are making our 2nd trip this October. 22nd through Nov 5 to be exact. We stayed at contemporary last time but are doing a timeshare this time and using a POV.

We are also going to the space center and universal and taking more days "off" this time. Last time did the commando method and that got rough with little ones.

Anyway we are going to MNSHP on Friday night the 28th. Hopefully I will see some of you there. We are also VERY much looking forward to the F&W at Epcot.

Can anyone tell me what the weather that time of year is like? We went in May last time and it was pretty warm. Just wondering how to pack.

Thanks and it is nice to see you all and I can't WAIT till October!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and as a tease we are going to Disneyland for the 50th in July so I am really anxious about that. Haven't been on space mountain since '02! :cool1:

~*~*WELCOME Kelmac~*~* :cool1:

Lots of info here, I'm pretty much a newbie when it comes to October activities and weather! Well going to Disney I've been once!! to Disneyland... I have a friend that goes!! :rotfl:

Hi and thanks!! Here in CA October can be warm OR cold. Usually warm during the day and cool at night. Hopefully I can get some die hards or locals that can give me a good idea. There are 7 of us going so don't want LOADS of luggage. LOL.

Nice to meet you and enjoy the MNSHP and FW. I know I will! ;)

This is our Wedding Anniversary :lovestruc When we went in 2000 our 1st park day was on our Anniversary. My brother & his family where there as well & treated us to Sci-Fi. We went to MNSSHP on the 30th. I honestly canott remember what the weather was like during our stay, but I do know it was perfect the night of the party. No rain & cooler temps, but still warm enough to wear short sleeves.

Look at me!! 99 days till Disney, that means DOUBLE DIGIT DANCE TIME!!

:dancer: :dancer: :cool1: :cool1:

Of course I'm now trying to frantically fill out food places for ADR time!! And I am also calling several times to change my ressie BACK to POFQ

Come on :wizard: magic!!

Has anyone else gotten strange feelings about posting so much personal information?? I know this is a weird place to say this, but I get so excited... and then I hit a disney site that charges $$ to join talking about not posting personal information... kinda freaked me out!!

My husband is in the military and I post to an army wives site and we are ALWAYS getting reamed about OPSEC and PERSEC (operational and personal security). I think the general rule is always assume on an open forum that you don't know WHO is reading it.

NEVER post your last name, exact location where you live or details that people might be able to find you.

I agree that sometimes I think it is stupid or a pain but on the other hand I guess they are right.

When my hubby was first deployed to Iraq I was really stupid and posted all kinds of info and got hammered by some people so now I am overly cautious LOL.

I think it is just common sense though. Good luck! And I have around the same amout of time as you till I go!! WHOOPEE!!!! :)

:cheer2: We will be in WDW during Oct 20th and 27th. I'm sooooo excited! I love Disney World. I will be going with DD and DM. This will be our first time going during the Halloween celebrations. :cheer2: We will be staying at Pop Century.

Thanks Kelmac, I just have a trusting nature, and I am too honest for my own good in this time and place we live in!! (no joke, I do not put on "airs" I do not 'sugar coat' anything, and I dont "speak my mind" if it will hurt another's feelings... and I've had to learn some hard lessons because of it!!

So when I came across a Disney website warning how dangerous a little information could be, (which was one reason they charged, I dont know they claimed they did background check, but it was a $6.95 charge to join - and I thought, welll hmmm THAT could also be a 'scam'!!) I remembered when I joined a different website, and met a group at Sweet Tomatoes, the one lady refused to have her picture taken or posted, and then she shared a story of how she had been stalked just from posting online on an aol website!! :earseek:

I too get "lonely" (dh travels, not a lot) and when I found internet forums for SAHM I felt some fun, and friendship... and ever since I've been "hooked"!! But I do tend to lapse in "TMI" (hmmm like now!! )

:wave2: HI DIs or Bust!! I'm going to make my mom and dad join us!! I hope to find my dad some time on a golf course! Our first October venture too!!

we are going oct 2-9 and going to mnsshp on the 7th. never been in oct have some concern on how hot it will be. always went in dec. but hey it my bd month and want to go to a halloween party at least once in my life
