Who was on the bus that got lost?

Am I alone in thinking that since DW turned over traffic enforcement to outside agencies the WDW buses no longer run like a demolition derby? I swear I think they used to get overtime for driving extra fast when they had lots of people standing on the buses! :rotfl: I like the new changes.

Caveman, I was thinking of you today. I read an article in the paper that said that the cavemen had a far more evolved brain than previously thought and that it was probably better than what we have nowadays. At least that is what I think it said. What do I know?? I have been bopped over the head one too many times. :dance3:

Slightly Goofy (who just got her very first laptop)

This happened to us on DME in Oct. I'm not sure if the driver missed his turn or what happened but we turned around in the Epcot parking lot before heading to the Epcot resorts. It really only added probably 10 minutes to our trip and everyone can have a brain blip sometimes.

I'm so sorry this happened to you...we've been there too! A bus from DTD to WL took an hour and twenty minutes. Everything seemed fine at first. We made it almost all the way back, the driver dropped off the FW people but then something went wrong somewhere. He just kept going in circles through Fort Wilderness. Then, once we made it out, the next thing we saw was Spaceship Earth! Then we proceeded to circle it too. There were a couple of rather tipsy adults that were making fun of him rather loudly. He just ignored it and kept circling. You could tell the bus driver was getting angry. He pretty much lost all sympathy from everyone else when he refused to listen to the people that were trying to help him. We did manage to make our way back to WL, although I'm not sure how. The whole situation was pretty frustrating especially with a bus load of people.

We ended up getting that driver twice more, and although we didn't get lost again, it sure took a long time to get to our destinations. At first we chalked it up to him being new, but he never smiled or said two words to anyone anytime we had him. He just had this permanent scowl on his face. Then we thought maybe he had a hearing problem and couldn't hear the people trying to help him (by the way he ignored everyone, you'd think that was the case). Guess we'll never know.

This happened to us going from WL to DTD. It was Xmas time 2003. Everyone boarded the bus all excited. There was a crowd at WL boarding and then on to FW to pick up another load. THE BUS IS PACKED NOW. Everyone is excited, it is early evening and MY family has tickets to CIRQUE. We wanted to eat before the show in DTD. WELLLL, this bus driver had absolutely no idea how to get there. WE WERE COMPLETELY LOST. People are trying to tell the bus driver how to get there, which way to turn...etc...and he is NOT paying any attention to those folks who knew how to get there...heck, he was NOT even acknowledging them or any of us. I think if he came on the mic and told us all we were lost and we could work together if might have changed the demeanor of the folks on the bus...BUT THE DRIVER SAID NOTHING, ZIP, ZERO.... :confused3 ...he virtually acted like he was all alone on this bus that was FULL TO CAPACITY. People got angry, children were crying...it was ugly.

We were so late, half my family ran to CIRQUE and the other half ran to McD's to get us burgers and fries...we knew that was ALLLLL we were getting...no Rainforest or House of Blues for us that night..... :guilty:

The driver never said one work even as we all departed the bus...nothing like I am sorry for any inconvenience...people were screaming..."call your main office and get directions"...so many folks had ADR's etc etc...it was bad...and people getting off the bus were commenting how they certainly HOPE this dude would not be driving any buses they got on again.

Hmmm...might be the same guy, ours was Oct of 2005 and he really didn't act like a newbie, but man could he ignore!!! He was an older man who never smiled at anyone entering or exiting, no announcements, or radio contact, nada anytime we had him! I'd have to say, on hindsight, he was the second rudest CM I've ever met (and I think I've only met about 4 - rude ones that is...hundreds of nice ones!).
