ETA, I just realized I can eat at LTT at lunch!! They don't have characters at lunch :p
:rotfl2: :rotfl: YES,you can:hug: you're so adorable!!! Boma sounds SO good!!! we are going to have to try it there sometime soon!

I think I've told ya'll that my sister is a fashion merchandising major. We have a local morning show called Great Day Houston here, and her former instructor asked her if she would like to help them every once in a while picking out jewelry and clothes for upcoming segments. About 2 months ago she helped them pick out some jewelry and sat in the audience. Today she's actually going to be in a segment! They are going to curl her eyelashes! Which is funny because my sister has beautiful lashes! :rotfl: So I'm watching the show at work. If I can find a link, I'll post it later on.
that is TOO cool!

morning all! Hi ash, I am on the phone with you right now! yes she is up early! lol

I am waiting for DH to get off work, we are going up to our property west of Gainesville. 2 of my sisters are already headed up there. DH almost had to cancel the trip, so it would have been a sisters trip which is still fun, but we are taking a bed up there for one of the bedrooms and we dont have room for it here! anyway, it worked out and I am excited but I will be sad passing WDW.

welcome back 2x, are we going to be seeing a TR soon?

well I wont have access to a computer after we leave so have a great weekend everyone!

xoxo

Good Morning Everyone!

I just got back from the doctors. I still haven't gained anything (not that I am sad about that ;) ) and my blood pressure was looking good. She said that unless the specialist recommended it, I didn't have to start medication for the diabetes. Of course, I have a feeling he will be recommending the medicine. :)

I have to go catch up; I hope everyone is having a great day!

Lesa: I don't know if I'd trust the furnace guys either. It sounds like maybe they were looking for additional problems to fix? I always ask, "What is the bare minimum I can have done to make it functional?" and then insinuate that I'll use them again when I need more repairs down the road. Good luck, $2000 is a LOT of money!!

Yesterday Lyzzie forgot to close the bathroom door after she was done and within 5 minutes Dusty went in there and left a huge "present" on the rug. I rubbed her nose in it and threw her outside, I was SO mad! I was just hoping she wouldn't run away... nope, she just howled at the back door for 10 minutes until I let her back in. The thing is... I've had her since she was 9 weeks old. I got her when I was 18. I can't just give her up to the shelter. We do have a great no-kill shelter here in town, where I adopted Roxy from, but I know Dusty would be miserable there. She needs a lot of human interaction and always seeks it at night, and would not be able to get that at the shelter. She has spent most of her life as an indoor/outdoor cat so I'm not really worried about her adjusting to being outdoors at all. She doesn't wander outside the yard and is used to it. I just need to put her out while I'm home for a few days to make sure she knows the yard and the neighborhood before I let her out all day. As my mom says, "Cats have built-in GPS," but I don't want her trying to return to the wrong house. She has thick fur and won't get cold - of course I will make sure she has a sheltered area outside. She is very affectionate and loving, and the kids and I adore her. After all this time, I can't in good conscience give up on her entirely, but I can't handle her bathroom issues either. So -- out she goes.

Nicole: Congrats on the new job! That didn't take long at all. The CP sounds awesome, I'm rooting for ya! :cheer2:

I can't blame you! I surprised you put up with it as long as you did, you are one nice cat mama!

Well I've had her half my life, I can't just give her away!

Welcome home 2x2s!! Glad you had a great time (how could you not?) and can't wait to hear more about it. Good luck with your computer!

Happy Birthday Nicole!!!

I think Lyzzie has that pin at home!

Donna: I love that song! It makes me a little teary if I listen too closely. I pretty much like anything Rob Thomas does. PJ day, how fun! Emma wanted to have a PJ day today, so I let her go to my mom's house in her PJs and brought her clothes. She was upset that she had to get dressed, but she has preschool today. All her winter clothes are suddenly too small! I'm hoping I can find some of Lyzzie's old stuff to fit her, my mom was hauling it all out of her basement this morning but could only find summer clothes.

DznyFan: I'll have to check out the new Disney ringtones! Myxertones is where I get all of mine and I'm getting tired of the few I have.

Ashley: Good luck at your appointment tomorrow (I hope insurance covers it). How many times have you seen the AK Nemo show? I wasn't too impressed the first time, but the next time I liked it much better. I think it's one of those that grows on you, and yes the puppet/person thing takes some getting used to! For me it was harder to get used to Nemo being played by a girl. I like it now, but if the line is too long I'll skip it. When are you planning to go in Feb? I'm still trying to figure out if/how I can work in a long weekend before my AP expires the first week of Feb. It's doubtful since I don't want to put it on the credit card, but I do have a free flight on SW and quite a bit on Disney gift cards, so if the price is right...

Nicole: I'm the queen of picky eaters and I liked Boma! I have no idea what I ate there, I don't remember but I know it was good. I didn't try most of the more adventurous stuff but they had some basic food too and like Ashley said, the kids' section has pretty good stuff too.

Lyzziesmom, we aren't exactly sure about the dates for Feb yet, but we are looking at going before Feb.13 (I think the expensive season [the name escapes me right now], starts on the 14th) It would be great if you could meet us there!!

My Mom's (and YM's DS!) birthday is the 12th.

There are some GREAT Florida resident rates out right now, and they have some 2 bedroom units at Saratoga Springs for pretty cheap! I racked up a free SW flight pretty quick too because I got a credit card with them.

I only saw the Finding Nemo show once...I'll give it another try, but it just can't compare to the Lion King show! I guess I went in and my expectations were a bit high because I compared it to that!!

Nicole: How cool for your sister!

Hi Shannon! Have fun on your weekend away, see you next week!

Amber: You must be frustrated about the diabetes meds - one says take it, one says don't. That would drive me crazy!

That is so fun!!

Jeremiah has the most gorgeous eye lashes- it makes me so mad because mine are thick but really short!!! Boys don't even need long eye lashes, I am pretty jealous :rolleyes1 Oh well, maybe our kids will get them from him!

Ashley: I got the SW credit card too, so I got my reward flight and am halfway to another one already! Fares are pretty high right now though, because I'd still need to buy a ticket for Lyzzie. I know there are a lot of AP rates right now too but I just can't book anything yet, I still owe my mom money and she won't babysit until it's paid, and with the new car payment it's a long shot that I can get all that done in a couple months. If I were still at my last job, the holiday bonus would cover it but here it's only $100, big whoop. My AP expires on Feb 4th (or is it 6th?) so I'd be looking at the last week of Jan/first week of Feb. I also have a couple of 1-day tickets I could use if need be, and 1 day left on an old non-expiring ticket from when the turnstiles were malfunctioning at Epcot and they just let us in so we wouldn't miss our Segway tour! On the teeny tiny chance that I could go, it looks like we would miss each other by a week or two -- again!

Amber- That's so frustrating about you meds!

If I get accepted I would be there in late Jan, so I'd be able to meet both of you Ashley and Lyzziesmom! I can't wait two weeks to find out!!!!

Amber: You must be frustrated about the diabetes meds - one says take it, one says don't. That would drive me crazy!

I think the reason for this is the specialist is more strict with the glucose levels (his limit is 135 and my doctor is 140). The specialist also doesn't take into account why the levels may be affected (like if I decide to eat McDonald's followed by cake). My doctor will look to see if it's a one time thing.

Still, I was told that my levels would probably start going up as I got further along. So, I have resigned myself to the thought of medicine. I just hope it does the trick and I don't have to go on insulin.

Good morning, almost afternoon now!

Welcome home 2x!:cool1: Take it easy and when you have time mosey your butt in here and tell us about your trip!pirate:

Ashley...Good luck at the Dr. Insurance Co can be a big pain, but keep on them. When DH had an accident (fell off a ladder) a couple of years ago, we had the most crappy insurance! I kept finding mistakes, they would refuse to pay for things, The Dr would have to keep resubmitting info because they would say the never got it....The list goes on! By the way, I got the bill for one of Britt's CAT scans, my insurance is saying it's not covered  I will have to battle it out with them, but it was $175. I know you were looking for about how much it cost. Now that is not for the Dr reading that, I'm sure that's an additional charge as is the air she breathed in the machine;) , but that will give you kind of a ball park figure. Good luck! I hope you get it all straightened out and are felling better soon!

Amber...Great news about the medicine, for now anyway!:cool1: When I was pregnant with Britt I never gained any weight, only lost it. I think I weighed less when I had her than I did before I got pregnant. With Maddie though, I gained weight and never seemed to lose it!:upsidedow You really need a ticker so we can keep tract how much longer we have to wait! :cloud9:

Boma's is the best. Even the pickiest eater can find food there!!!

YM....Maddie is wheezing up a storm. The nurse called yesterday because after 2 puffs on the albuterol she was still wheezing. Today she didn't go to school till almost 10. I gave her 3 back to back neb treatments and still she sounds bad. I sent her in high as a kite!:lmao: She couldn't even sit down for the last treatment, she was cheering, and dancing. :rotfl2: I have a call into the Dr. I hate that I have to wait for the nurse to call me back, then she has to talk to the DR, then call me back again, then I can make an appointment!:headache: Anyway, I think it's steroid time, and I think she should have an antibiotic, but I know that won't happen!

Well the furnace guys are here. I feel a little better that the owner came himself to put it in. I still would have liked to have at least till after Christmas to put it in!:headache:

Wow! Is that all? I assumed they would cost ALOT more than that...If my insurance is refusing I may just ask my doctor tomorrow of the cost and pay for it myself, just for the peace of mind. Did Britt get the contrast dye?? My doctor mentioned me not getting it because of fear of allergic reaction, but I've heard that the scan doesn't show up as good if you don't get it...

She didn't have the dye either time. I had a couple a few years ago and didn't have the dye either. I would check into the total cost to you. It may be a little cheaper in your area, IL has really high Malpractice insurance and I have found health care in general here is much much higher than it was in MI! I think if your are still having this many problems it might be wise to get one. I would still battle it out with the insurance though! Good luck!

They are done putting the furnace in!:yay: I could tell when they fired it up that this is going to be better cost wise for us. Usually it takes several hours to heat the house up and it went from 65 to 72 in 20 minutes! It got so hot in here I had to turn it off! Also, the vents never really had hot air coming out, it usually felt cool, now it is hot hot hot!!!:dance3: I know where Gracie will be laying her butt all winter! I should add, it's much prettier than the old one!;)

Well I'm off to pick Maddie up for lunch and a neb treatment, then it's off to the Drs! Have a great afternoon!

have a fun, safe trip! sounds like a good time, even passing disney..... sometimes ;)

Kenny got his lashes from his daddy too! No, I'm not jealous either:rolleyes1

yeah, I would have thought more too..hopefully it won't be higher for you!

wow..that sounds much better....and warmer..ahhhh:cloud9: good luck at the dr!

Lesa: The new furnace sounds much better than the old one, glad it's working well!

I just heard on the radio that Bon Jovi is coming to Kansas City -- I know what Santa's getting me for Christmas!! Oh, and Lyzzie too of course. This is a huge big deal because nobody EVER comes to Kansas City. We have a nice new arena now and it looks like entertainment is going to pick up quite a bit. The first act (I think) to play at the new center is Hannah Montana -- of course those tickets were way too expensive which is just crazy.

Some reps from Perkins restaurant just came by, there's a new one that just opened down the street and they dropped off 4 bags full of mini-muffins and cookies. Good thing too, because I skipped lunch so I could go buy pullups.

Lyzziesmom- What a nice Christmas present!

Lesa- That's good you have a new and hot furnace to keep you warm!

Over lunch I had to go to the mall so I could fill out paperwork at Yankee Candle. I start on Monday.:woohoo:

That's great Nicole! Please don't tell me about any upcoming sales or special discounts, because the last thing I need to do right now is buy candles! ;)

I have to go to the mall this evening to buy a Webkinz. Lyzzie is going to a birthday party tomorrow and she's decided to buy her friend a Webkinz and I can't think of where else to go but the mall. It's driving me crazy, because I'm sure I remember seeing some in a store recently but I can't remember where! She also wants to buy a Build-A-Bear bunny that she has wanted for a long time and saved her money for. I don't really want her to buy it, because she never plays with her other BAB animals, but she's determined to buy it and even has a $5 off coupon, so I guess if she ends up not liking it then it's her lesson to learn. I think we're supposed to do dinner with the XBF tonight too (rescheduled from Tues) but I'm not sure where or what time. He called yesterday but oops, I left my phone in the car. Maybe we can just eat somewhere near the mall.

My boss wants me and the 2 mailroom clerks to schedule our remaining time off for the year. I have no idea what days to take off! We can't take any days off at the same time as each other or they'll have to hire a temp, which is a PITA. I'll probably just do a day here & there. I'm always afraid I'll take the time off, then get sick and not have any PTO left!

I take that back, the amount I gave you must have been for the Dr reading it. I just got the bill from the hospital, $1766 for the Cat Scan, $775 for ER room!:headache: :scared1: Sorry about that, the other one said Cat scan and nothing else, I was thinking that was not so bad, but you might figure on $2000. Sorry to get your hopes up!

I've seen a lot of webkinz stuff at limited too and Justice. Also all our hallmark stores carry them.

Congrats Nicole!:dance3:

The Dr gave Madison an antibiotic, I didn't even have to ask this time!:yay: She also put her on a new inhaler that she doesn't think my insurance covers :headache: but thinks it will work well for Madison. She did give me a months worth of sample, so at least I don't have to go pay for it and find out it doesn't work.

Time to make dinner.:wizard: I tried the wand and went to the kitchen but no food appeared!:guilty: I guess I'd better get cracking on the spaghetti.:upsidedow
