Goooood morning!!!:sunny: I'm in such a great mood today because.......It's Friday!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Nathan starts playing in a tournament tonight and lasts through the weekend.
5:30 game tonight, 1:30 game tomorrow and a possibility of a game on Sunday. So, YM, THAT is what I'm doing this weekend.

We are also having some "new to us" equipment installed at the cleaners this weekend, so it will be a busy time for me.
(Lesa, I'm going to borrow one of your smilies.:rolleyes1)

Good morning Miss Donna! Thanks for the breakfast. Good luck to Nathan!:cheer2:

I don't know if HisMajesty is reading today...but he forgot to turn the snooze off on his alarm. :rolleyes1 I guess I'll be needing some of this soon....:surfweb:

Good Morning All!

Lesa, my vote goes toward pumpkin (especially pumpkin pie cheesecake). Mike says cherry.

It is cold and rainy here. I just want to go back to bed. I hope everyone has a great day!

The Dr gave Madison an antibiotic, I didn't even have to ask this time!:yay: She also put her on a new inhaler that she doesn't think my insurance covers but thinks it will work well for Madison. She did give me a months worth of sample, so at least I don't have to go pay for it and find out it doesn't work.
yay! glad they gave Maddie an antibiotic! Hope the new inhaler works well for her:hug:

Madison asked me to ask my "computer" friends what kind of pie you all like. She is making a chart for school. The choices are:

Pumpkin Pie
Apple Pie
Lemon Pie
Banana Cream Pie
Mince Meat pie
Other

Thanks guys!
I'll have to say "other" too... I love choc/peanut butter cream pie:love: ok, about any cream pie:laughing: then apple and pecan!! Oh... Strawberry pie is Kennys favorite..that's pretty tasty too! Mike's, I will guess pecan

My niece is here for a while tonight. My sister and BIL had to go to a funeral of a distant relative and Cassie didn't want to go.
Not much else going on here. I'm ready for the weekend!!!
Hi Cassie!! Your weekend sounds fun!:cool1: I'm ready for the weekend too!
(I really like pie...)
 you're not alone there!!! me too!!

I will say other since my fav is coconut. Then would be banana cream, apple, lemon, pumpkin....and do I have to list mice meat?
hope your ds's are doing ok! Coconut is good too

I'm excited that I don't work tomorrow. As a matter of fact I'm only working two days the rest of the month. I normally only work two days a week but with holidays and vacation the rest of the month should be fun
that is AWESOME!!! I have 13 more days to work this month...and 23 before we leave for WDW I know...I'm hopeless:rotfl:

Hey guys, keep the favorite pies coming!Maddie keeps having me check to see if anyone else has listed their favorite pies. She thinks this is too cool to ask a question on the computer and get a response!
awww she's so adorable:cloud9:

Madison says so far other is winning!
 I bet! Now I'm hungry for PIE!!! Maybe Kenny and I will make a few this weekend!

Do you guys want to do some sort of secret santa exchange this year along with cards?
that would be AWESOME!!:cool1:

Lin...I can promise that I won't need to mail it your way.I love coconut so much that I almost ordered gourmet coconut from some place in New York.

I'm in for a secret santa exchange!
wow...you really do like coconut:yay: I make a bunny cake for Easter that's covered in coconut..YUM!!
Out of those choices......My vote goes to Pumpkin......but ONLY during Thanksgiving & Christmas.....otherwise Apple....

but.....I like Banana Cream too.....
hey there pozey! how is your gang doing? Colton glad he got his cast off?

I vote for other- Pecan pie!
Lin- An exchange sounds like fun, but I am the worst at picking out gifts! I'm always worried that the person won't like what I get them.
pecan is great!! Actually, I'm expecting a few #'s of fresh pecans any day. Mikes uncle in AL is shipping some to us from his house. I'll have to make some pecan pie bars! Yum!! I love shopping for other people....esp. if you know what they like. I'm sure anything Disney is safe:rotfl:
hmmm-- I vote for other- Pecan is my fav!!!

Lin, I was just going to ask if you guys wanted to do the Christmas card exchange this year. I think I still have everyones address so it should be pretty easy to just send it out!!
I do too:woohoo: you guys are making me so hungry for pecans now:rotfl2: good luck at your appt. Ashley:hug: enjoy your IHOP visit too. It's safe there...no characters:laughing:

I don't know if HisMajesty is reading today...but he forgot to turn the snooze off on his alarm. I guess I'll be needing some of this soon....
:rolleyes1 oops!!! Ours has 2 alarms on it...they other night I set it while I was about asleep:rolleyes1 and set both of them so at midnight.... it went off and woke us both up. I was out of it and hit snooze a few times thinking it was morning:sad2: NOT GOOD!!

Lesa, my vote goes toward pumpkin (especially pumpkin pie cheesecake). Mike says cherry.

Good morning Amber. I don't blame you there..Hope you can just go to back to bed for awhile:hug:

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend if I don't "see" ya! I don't think we're planning much...clean the house, clean my car:scared: , maybe go see a movie or something...Hey...I can start pulling stuff out for our trip:laughing: :yay:

Good Friday Morning!

 ...YAY, it's Friday!

Hmmmm... start with the important stuff: FOOD!

Thanks for breakfast, Donna! Good luck to Nathan in the tournament! :cheer2:

Lesa - favorite pie: other. Blueberry, followed closely by anything chocolate.

Lin - I have a dear friend going to one of those concerts in KC this weekend! Ooh! an exchange could be fun!!

Lyzziesmom - did you get the webkinz last night? We only first 'saw' them last weekend (older kiddo), but it's definitely something she would do if she were 8 or 10 years younger! It actually looks kind of fun...

Nicole - start on Monday? That's great news!!

Absolutely nothing of excitement going on in my world. I suppose that's not such a bad thing, though. I just can't believe it's 2 weeks until Thanksgiving! Don't even have any plans yet... just don't want to go eat at my sister's dog-filled, hair infested (and who knows what else) house!!

Hope everybody has a great day! Will try and check in later.

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

I am craving pie so bad right now! :rotfl: I'll have to have some this weekend!

Hey...I can start pulling stuff out for our trip:laughing: :yay:

That's what I'll be doing on Sunday!

Today is my last day at work. :( I'm kind of sad about it, I've been here for over 5 years.

Plans for the weekend-Tomorrow is my mom's birthday, so I'm sure we'll do something. And I'll be packing on Sunday!

Morning crew!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!!

Well if Linda is pulling stuff out that means I can too.:snooty: :woohoo: Nicole...you better get busy.:yay:

Hey... do you guys make your crust from scratch when you make pies? I use the old Betty Crocker Crisco recipe. Anyone have a good recipe to share?

I know..I'll have to have some pie this weekend now:laughing: Yeah, you better get packing:woohoo: Sorry this is your last day:hug: I can imagine it is hard since you've been there so long!!
Happy Birthday to your mom! :woohoo: :yay:

 as you know, w/little ones..there's just so much to pack!!! Plus I've made so many thing to plan and make things(hopefully) smoother...I just got to get it all out! Then as it gets closer I can just check the plan sheets and make sure everything is still correct and then laminate them and be ready to go!! :cool1: I just know this next month will be busy. It always flies by around the holidays!
Mike just buys the graham cracker crusts pre-made:rolleyes1 but I prefer to make my own too! I usually just go online and look for a good recipe.... if someone has a good one to share, that would be great!

OH 2x!!!! You really made Kennys day w/that postcard! Thanks so much:hug: well, for both of them of coarse! I had him read it to me and he read "Master Kenny" you should have seen his face:rotfl2: It was the "she thinks I'm the master" story all over again:rotfl: it made his day!!! mine too:cloud9:

Just thought I'd share an email I got from Disney!!!:scared1:

We would also like to inform you that the Walt Disney World® Resort will be implementing an across property policy change regarding gratuity at all food and beverage locations. Effective January 1, 2008, 18% gratuity will be added to all transactions, regardless of party size. Thank you for your continued support.

Cheers!

The Disney Dining Experience Team

This makes me mad! I'm sorry, but I should be able to decide how much I feel my server deserves. If I get poor service, the tip goes down, good service they get more. I see a lot of servers getting jipped out of tips because most people tip at 20% and if it's already added in the bill, then who's going to add the extra 2%?

 omg! thanks for sharing Lesa. I agree...I don't like that either! I really hope that doesn't make the service go down since they know they're guaranteed the 18% regardless of how good of a job they do:rolleyes:

well for anyone packing soon:

 :woohoo: :yay:

Lesa - thanks for sharing that info. I'm in total agreement with you all. WE should have control over what our server receives in a tip, which should be according to level of service. In addition, I noted that it said "all" food & beverage locations. What does that mean? Are they going to add gratuity to counter service locations too??

Nicole - happy Birthday to your mom this weekend!! Sorry this is going to be a bittersweet day for you, but just think.... in a few days you'll be in your happy place!

Lesa: We looked at Webkinz at Libby Lu but ended up buying a LittleKinz at Hallmark. Libby Lu wanted over $16 for their WebKinz, and Hallmark was only $13... $10 for the LittleKinz. She picked out a cute little white bunny, which is still sitting in the bag on our kitchen table. Oops! Guess I know what I'll be doing over my lunch hour -- the birthday party is at 5pm tonite and I get off work at 4:30, it's going to be quite a hustle!

That :wizard: wand thing for dinner never works for me either. I keep trying to get it to work for laundry too but no luck yet.

I'm not much of a pie eater (don't like fruit) but I would have to pick Other. I do adore a good Key Lime Pie!! Does Reese's Peanut Butter Pie count? Because that would be my second choice.

Lin: I liked the Zebra Domes too, but they were not at all what I expected. I thought they'd be bigger, like a Hostess cake, but they were so tiny! And I did not expect them to taste like coffee (blech!). But after three or four, they were much yummier! Lyzzie was so mad she couldn't try them because I had talked them up to her not knowing they were alcoholic. Oops! Who is your favorite singer who's in KC? We have a lot of great venues here but they are all very tiny old theaters, as far as large arena acts go we only have a crummy old stadium with horrible parking and most of the larger national acts don't bother coming here.

YM: I'll trade work schedules with ya! :lmao: I should have taken today off, it's been one of those days and it's only 9:30am. :headache:

She has me pounding on her back just after a neb treatment, which really loosened her up.

That brings back memories... I used to have to do that to my mom after her nebulizer treatments. I hated it because we're not touchy-feely and even back then when I was about 8-10 it was weird to have to touch my mom that much. :sad2: Whoa, sounds like you learned the hard way when to schedule the treatments! :scared:

Lin- An exchange sounds like fun, but I am the worst at picking out gifts! I'm always worried that the person won't like what I get them.

I love shopping for other people! I've never done a secret Santa or any kind of online exchange though, I have no idea how that would work. And we would have to have a reasonable budget limit, it's going to be a very lean Christmas in the Lyzziesmom household this year. But it does sound like fun!

Linda: We lived in TX for a couple of years and at the end of our street was a park full of pecan trees. My mom would send us kids to go collect pecans and I swear we had pecans for YEARS! We don't even like them that much!! Sounds like you had an interesting night, but not too restful. I woke up at 4am thinking it was morning. Then when it really WAS morning, I overslept!

Lyzziesmom - did you get the webkinz last night? We only first 'saw' them last weekend (older kiddo), but it's definitely something she would do if she were 8 or 10 years younger! It actually looks kind of fun...

It is kind of fun. When Lyzzie plays, sometimes I offer to help her. :rolleyes1 She likes watching me play and loves that I can earn tokens faster than she can. She is completely in awe of my mad skillz! I have extra codes from Emma's Webkinz and I just may have to start my own account. ;)

Hey... do you guys make your crust from scratch when you make pies? I use the old Betty Crocker Crisco recipe. Anyone have a good recipe to share?

I've got a great recipe and it's super easy.
1. Go to store.
2. Buy Pillsbury pie crust.
3. Unwrap crust and carefully lay in pie plate.
4. Smooth out creases.
5. Crimp edges with fancy pie crimper thingy.
6. This is the MOST IMPORTANT step!! Hide packaging deep in trash can so as to avoid the need to deny knowledge of their existence.

Just thought I'd share an email I got from Disney!!!:scared1:

I bet this is tied into the DDP no longer including the tip. People were wondering how to ensure that the servers would get tipped, now we know. The DDP was good as it was, but a bunch of idiots had to go and nitpick and complain about little things and see what happens? I don't know why people can't just leave well enough alone, they go and ruin it for the rest of us. Oh well, I only eat TS on the DDP (except when I went with you guys), and I only get the DDP when it's free. I'm betting the new changes won't last a year (hopefully!) because there's bound to be a backlash.

Errrrr....I lost my post!:badp:

tgif.gif

Madison asked me to say thank you all for your favorite pies!:cheer2: The results are in......Drum roll please.......
rimshot.gif
......The winner by a landslide is..........Other!
pie.gif
She was very excited with her results, so thanks guys!

Well I have to head to school. Have a great day everyone!

I didn't notice it said ALL locations. So if you want to order just a soda, or an order of fries, or a scoop of ice cream, it's going to cost 18% more? That's stupid!

Today has been pretty hectic, I should have just taken the day off. It started with oversleeping and not having time for a shower so I feel really gross and have icky hair, which always makes for a bad day. Then I discovered that Dusty pooped on the living room rug, and Lyzzie forgot to close the bathroom door so yep, Dusty peed on that rug. Emma found it when she stepped on the rug while I was changing her out of her morning surprise. I forgot it was trash day so I had to bribe Lyzzie to take the trash can out to the curb and now I owe her $2 -- and she's already figuring how many more chores she needs to do in order to afford to clothe her new Build-A-Bear bunny. By this time we were running 10 minutes late and I still had to get Dusty outside. When I went into the laundry room to get her, of course both kids had to join me so it was really crowded and hectic. Lyzzie guarded the door so Roxy didn't escape while I yanked Dusty out from behind the dryer, but Lyzzie wouldn't put her bunny down so she was manning the door one-handed and Dusty snuck back in. It was a madhouse but we finally got the right one out and the right one stayed in. Whew!

Then I got in the car, heard a "ding!" and discovered I was low on gas. Great. I sent Lyzzie in to the 7-11 to buy donuts while I pumped gas ($3.06 for the cheap stuff!! $40 to fill the tank, yikes!). It was her first time going into a store alone and she took forEVER, I had to go help her when I was done but she did a good job. That's when we realized the birthday party gift is still at home, unwrapped.

Long story short (too late!) things went downhill from there once we got to Mom's house. And it's been a crazy morning at work too. I wish I was still in bed sleeping!!!

Thanks for letting me vent, I know it's all little stuff and none of it is a big deal but all together I'm just feeling overwhelmed this morning.

On the bright side, I got a lovely postcard from WDW in the mail yesterday!! Thanks 2x2s!

Memories!!!

Well, I was cleaning some stuff last night....

And I came upon a bunch of CD's.....picture CDs......

What are they?? They are pictures from my 2005 Disney Trip!!!!

Oh, I am having so much fun!!!

Yikes!!!

I found one with me.....shirtless....in the pool!!!!

Burn, baby, burn!!!!

Oh....would you look at that?? That disc is broken in half!!!! :rolleyes1
