Ashley: That's so cute that your grandparents call us your Disney friends! That's what Lyzzie calls you guys too. She actually talks about you often, after helping me make the door tags for our meet she learned about many of you and feels like she knows you too.
I have actually considered TA as a career, or a side job, BUT... first off, I am horrible at geography. I can't even tell you what continent many countries are in. Also, as I learned in the wonderful world of advertising, I get really frustrated working for people who change their minds constantly and/or can't form their own opinions (I find those two traits often go hand in hand). So I'm thinking the IDEA of it is fun, but the reality probably isn't for me. I may check out the website though just for sheets & giggles.
Lesa: I've seen those keys in ads, but never in real life! I asked at HD if they had any (or was it Lowes?) and the guy looked at me like I'd sprouted tentacles. I had to spell it out for him... D-i-s-n-e-y K-e-y-s. He still had no idea. Mind you, he was sitting behind a heee-yoooj display of painted keys -- all nascar and sports teams. I pointed to them and said, like this, but with Mickey Mouse and such on them. Still with the tentacle-look, so I gave up. Come to think of it, I think this was the same dude who had never heard of a tea stain by Ralph Lauren, and my mom bought it the next week at the same store, get this -- 2 feet behind the counter where the guy sits!! D'oh! Anyway... I really want one of those keys and now that you reminded me, I think I will make it my Mission of the Week.
Here's my favorite:
And I found one for YM:
And here's the Tink one for Nicole:
Aren't they just too key-
yooot! (get it,
cute? key? ain't I the clever one?

)
ETA: Look what I just found out about the Diskeys: "There are 5 new key styles on the way Tink Thimble, Little Mermaid, Buzz and Woody, The Princesses and Mickey and Donald Hockey." Nicole, do you by any chance need TWO keys? (thumb!)
Well I'm both a home wrecker and a murderer. Today I thought it would be a good day to take down my dead Christmas wreath that has been hanging on the front porch since November.

It is one of those things that has been there so long you no longer see it anymore. Well I pulled it off the nail and threw it in the yard for DH to take out with the trash, tomorrow is garbage day. As it was flying through the air I could see a nest stuck to the top of the wreath

and flying out of that went 4 eggs.

I have had a bird diving from the porch every time I opened the door, but I didn't think anything of it. Well now the poor momma bird will come home to no nest and her babies smashed all over the ground.

She has come back to the porch several times.

I guess that will teach me to take my all Christmas decorations down before spring.
Oh NO!! You must feel terrible. It wasn't your fault, how were you to know the silly old mama bird hid her nest in there? Maybe it's not too late for her to start another ... what would it be? batch? brood? litter? ... of eggs, hopefully in a smarter location, like oh I don't know, maybe a TREE?!?
We just got home about 45 minutes ago. A few weeks ago my mom gave me a newspaper clipping about this Firehouse Dog movie, it was an entry for free tickets to a sneak preview. Well I got the email this morning that we WON! I was excited for about 20 seconds, until I read that they over-emailed on purpose to ensure a full house, so get there early. Oh and by the way, it's at 7:30pm TONITE!
So I picked up Lyzzie from Girl Scouts, took her to Lone Star for kids-eat-free night, and off to the movies it was! It worked out great because we were so stuffed from dinner that popcorn was not even an option

so it truly was a FREE movie. It was very cute... I'm glad I didn't pay for it because it wasn't really a
good movie, but it was funny and cute for the kids, with a little bigger kid humor thrown in (lots of farting dog jokes

). I'm glad we went, it gave me some much-needed quiet time with my Lyzzie.
Emma is having a sleepover at my mom's house tonight and apparently "made" my folks sing her favorite songs so she could air guitar and air drum.

I
really wish I would have been there to see that! She also corrected their mistaken lyrics and bad dance moves. That girl and her moves!! Last night it was "you can't watch tv, you have to watch me doing my running moves!" while running back & forth on the living room rug. The night before it was "I can't go to bed, I'm still practicing my moves!" I've really got to get her into a dance class! Of course, they'd be at the barre and she'd be the one in back doing air guitar to spice up the classical music a tad.
Well I'm off to bed (no moves for me tonight!). I've got Miss E's non-Plum book, Metro Girl, and I'd really like to try to read more than 4 pages before nodding off. I didn't make it past 4 last night so that's tonight's goal. I can already feel the Ambien doing it's magic - I took a break from it for a couple weeks so it would start working better again, and after all the month-end stuff at work it was either get back on the Ambien or deal with the bald patches I'm creating on the sides of my head from tearing my hair out with frustration. (Today was NOT a great workday.

Hey pozey.... how's it looking for an admin at that new job of yours?

)
Are the rest of you getting the cold weather too? I forgot that about spring... just when it gets nice, BAM! it's winter again. I just bought a lovely couple of skirts at Target and now it's too cold & windy to even contemplate wearing them.
This quick hello turned into a novella! So -- Goodnight my cliqueless Disney computer friends, and have a pleasant tomorrow.
