Donna: Have a great time on your outing with 2x!
2x: You have fun too, Missy!! That store sounds fantastic -- I wish I was closer. But just like YM, I'm not jealous. Not one teeny eensy little wittle bit. Nope, not me. I'll be fine, sitting here at home, entertaining the kids and doing laundry and dishes and reheating questionable mac & cheese for lunch. I don't need any French antiques anyway, they'd look horrible in my house. And lunch? I don't need to go out to lunch, I don't even like it... I mean between the people who expect you to talk and be interesting, and the nice fresh hot food, and the service, and letting someone else clean up... nah, who likes all that? But you two have fun!!
Wow, who knew I was the tallest Cliqueless Chica?
Has anyone heard from April lately? I miss her! I was just looking at pictures from the trip, and I hardly got any pictures with any of you, but I did get a few of April & Steven with Emma. I told them people are going to be like, who's the kid? They took pics with Emma at dinner at CP with the characters, it's so funny because they look like family pictures! Anyway it made me think of how long it's been since she's been on here and I hope everything is ok. She must be very busy with the new job!!
So what's everyone doing this weekend? We had a lot of shoppers for large trash day yesterday -- we had a TON of stuff to get rid of! I kept thinking, we should have saved some of that stuff for the garage sale. But then if it didn't sell, we'd be stuck with it for another 2 years. We tossed out the harvest gold fridge that came with the house (I can't wait until the matching washer/dryer give out so I can get new WHITE ones!) and the awnings we took off last month. SO happy to see those go. Someone actually took them! And just a bunch of crud that was in the basement & garage when we moved in - the original kitchen countertops (why on earth would someone save those for 40 years??), an old diaper pail, an old broken walker.... all the stuff was at least 30 years old. There was even an old metal box that my dad thinks was for the milkman's deliveries!!
Tomorrow we'll be going to opening day at the farm, but I have no idea what's on the docket for today. The kids would be happy to just watch tv all day -- and we just might. I am almost motivated to scrapbook, and we do have a couple movies from Blockbuster to watch. We started on Batman Begins last week but it bored the kids to tears, it was mostly all talking, so we gave up. We also have to watch Invincible, have any of you seen it? Lyzzie really wanted to see it when they were playing the commercials all day on the Disney channel, but now that we rented it she couldn't care less. Kids! I just want to get them watched & returned so I can get the next movie on my list... Stephen King's Desperation. I don't know how I missed this one when it came out on tv!
