Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

Donna: Have a great time on your outing with 2x!

2x: You have fun too, Missy!! That store sounds fantastic -- I wish I was closer. But just like YM, I'm not jealous. Not one teeny eensy little wittle bit. Nope, not me. I'll be fine, sitting here at home, entertaining the kids and doing laundry and dishes and reheating questionable mac & cheese for lunch. I don't need any French antiques anyway, they'd look horrible in my house. And lunch? I don't need to go out to lunch, I don't even like it... I mean between the people who expect you to talk and be interesting, and the nice fresh hot food, and the service, and letting someone else clean up... nah, who likes all that? But you two have fun!! ;)

Wow, who knew I was the tallest Cliqueless Chica?

Has anyone heard from April lately? I miss her! I was just looking at pictures from the trip, and I hardly got any pictures with any of you, but I did get a few of April & Steven with Emma. I told them people are going to be like, who's the kid? They took pics with Emma at dinner at CP with the characters, it's so funny because they look like family pictures! Anyway it made me think of how long it's been since she's been on here and I hope everything is ok. She must be very busy with the new job!!

So what's everyone doing this weekend? We had a lot of shoppers for large trash day yesterday -- we had a TON of stuff to get rid of! I kept thinking, we should have saved some of that stuff for the garage sale. But then if it didn't sell, we'd be stuck with it for another 2 years. We tossed out the harvest gold fridge that came with the house (I can't wait until the matching washer/dryer give out so I can get new WHITE ones!) and the awnings we took off last month. SO happy to see those go. Someone actually took them! And just a bunch of crud that was in the basement & garage when we moved in - the original kitchen countertops (why on earth would someone save those for 40 years??), an old diaper pail, an old broken walker.... all the stuff was at least 30 years old. There was even an old metal box that my dad thinks was for the milkman's deliveries!!

Tomorrow we'll be going to opening day at the farm, but I have no idea what's on the docket for today. The kids would be happy to just watch tv all day -- and we just might. I am almost motivated to scrapbook, and we do have a couple movies from Blockbuster to watch. We started on Batman Begins last week but it bored the kids to tears, it was mostly all talking, so we gave up. We also have to watch Invincible, have any of you seen it? Lyzzie really wanted to see it when they were playing the commercials all day on the Disney channel, but now that we rented it she couldn't care less. Kids! I just want to get them watched & returned so I can get the next movie on my list... Stephen King's Desperation. I don't know how I missed this one when it came out on tv!

Ok...do we have a winner....5'7"....anyone beat this?:rotfl:

Not me...add me to the 5'2'' crowd!! Although I do feel tall around Bree...she is only 4'11''!!! As you can see from this pic from the shower!! This is Zach and his mom, we are hoping that Lilly isn't taller than Bree before she gets to kindergarten!!:lmao: The really sad thing is both Bree and I are wearing heels!!

Good morning, Crew!!! It's kind of a gloomy day today in Illinois, but I get to meet with 2x2s today!! :sunny: We're going to a special shop that specializes in French decor, antiques and all sort of French country accessories. We'll probably do lunch; then 2x2s has to be back in St. Louis to meet with family for dinner.
Anyway, that's my day and I wish you all could come along with us!!!:woohoo:
How about some muffins to get us going this morning??

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Donna, have fun at your mini meet!

Mike took me to breakfast this morning and then we did some yard work. We still have a lot to do, but we came in to rest for a bit.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday!

Good Morning!

Somehow I don't think we were the reason for things not getting done. :rolleyes1

Time to head to the train station.:sad1:

By the way, I'm 5'5" I think Brittany will soon pass me, she is very tall.

Hi, everyone!!! :wave2: I'm back from shopping and lunching with 2x2s!!! We had a super time; it was so great to see her again!!! I must tell that our beloved 2x2s pulled a Stephanie Plum this morning and got lost in the seedier part of either St. Louis or E. St. Louis...not sure which!! She called me as she was headed on the right path once again and made it to Borders in just a few minutes!!! We had lunch at Olive Garden. I had the Chicken Alfredo and 2x had the Steak and Portabello Mushroom Alfredo. Did a little mall shopping and I bought new shoes. About 2:30pm it was decided that 2x2s should head back to St. Louis to spend the evening with her family. It was a fun day.:goodvibes It would have been terrific to have had you all there with us!!!

Michele:: How tall are Zach and his mom? Bree is very pretty!!

Poor 2x2!!!:rotfl2: How far a drive was it for her?? It sounds like you guys had fun! I wish I was there!

Zach is 6'4'' and his mom probably is around 5'10 or so, she was wearing heels too! Like she needed them:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Well we got a lot done in the basement. Now we are running out to Home Depot to get more stuff... I really should have bought stock in HD before we bought this house:idea:

I had to laugh...Zach was seeing this girl when Lilly was born, well the poor girl couldn't handle it ( no 15 year old should have to!! ) so they broke up. she isn't taking it well, from his point of view she is starting to stalk him. She actually showed up at the football meeting last week, says she is going to play football next year just to be close to him:sad2:

I really don't know for sure how far 2x2s had to drive. My guess would be about 25 miles or so. I don't think she's used to having to drive into Illinois.:rolleyes1

Yay!!! For getting work done on the basement. I think we may be taking a trip to Lowe's this evening ourselves.:scared: Any suggestions on how to finish a basement.

Poor Zack. That has to be a pretty uncomfortable situation for him.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!

:lmao: I seem to remember you taking 2 days off to get stuff done and I had Lilly at mom's house.:rolleyes1 I'm glad to hear you guys are making progress, it was getting a little cramped in that house.;) We are heading to HD this afternoon to get some paint.

What??? It's 9:30 (my time, 10:30 for most of you) and I'm the first to post this morning? I'm not in a breakfast mood, but I'll provide the coffee.

2x2 and Donna....Sounds like you two had lots of fun. 2x2 sounds like you need GPS!:rotfl2:

Congrats Pozey on the new job.

Well we made it to the train station with literally less than a minute to spare. :rolleyes1 DF-inlaw ran a red light :scared1: to get us there, if he didn't we would have missed the train.:lmao: Pretty much when the train pulls up you have minutes to throw your stuff and self on the train before it takes off. You don't even have time to find your seat. The train ride was o.k. The whistle went off every 5 seconds.:confused3 Everytime I closed my eyes Madison was poking me to tell me something silly.

When we got home it was raining, I went to get out of the car and there was about 100 big juicy worms all over the drive.:scared1: We had to watch where we walked so we didn't walk on them.:scared:

I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

I almost forgot....Did anyone else hear that Disney is going to offer a free nights stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge if you agree to sit through a 90 minute sales presentation on the AK Villas?:yay:

I had to remove my Lilly ticker.:sad1: I miss her already.:sad1:

:cheer2: I'd do that for a free night stay at AKL! Kenny would love it there.

Michele...love the pix! Wow...Zach is TALLL!!! I hope his stalker gets a life soon:rolleyes: that's all they need!

Donna... your trip w/2x sounded like so much fun!!!

I watched the video of the 6 yo boy surprised by his dad, he was in the navy and gone for 7 months... he was in his classroom and came running to his dad and started crying...now I'm sitting here still w/tears in my eyes over that...10 minutes later, you've gotta watch it. :sad1: it was so sweet...

Lesa..talk about cutting it close. Shew... good thing you made it. Way to go fil ;):woohoo: I guess you'll have to make a new ticker for your next trip:cloud9:

I've gotta go check out the Cedar Point schedule:rolleyes1

I hope you're all having a great day. Yesterday we did run to Columbus for some shopping:banana: that was fun!! oh... 20% off disneyshopping today:rolleyes1

:cool1: Where did you see this?

2X and Donna- I'm glad you had a great time!

I saw that too. It was so sweet. Where is the Disney shopping code? I saw a cute Tink shirt over there on Friday.

Last night me and Steven rented The Hoilday, Stranger than Fiction, and Borat. They were all good, and I went to the bead brunch today.

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! Mine has been good, we just took it easy. I cleaned up yesterday and we went to the mall, I went to New York & Co. just to look at the dresses but didn't find anything, I'll have to go back because I just tried on one dress. It was the perfect length but it was a little too poofy for me!!!

Donna, I hope you had a great time at lunch & shopping with 2x! HI 2x!!!!!

My dentist appointment is tomorrow. I'm very nervous. Wish me luck, its at 8:50 in the morning!!!

I'm happy, I just checked the airline prices for my May trip and they dropped back down to the original price. So I got a credit of $37, :cool1: I will use this for my September trip so I am excited about that!! Every little bit helps!

Ashley: Great news on the flight price drop! Keep your eyes on it, they usually seem to drop again just about 2 weeks before departure. I love having credit with SW, it makes it so much easier to justify another trip. ;)

Lesa: I haven't seen that about AKL, but I'd gladly sit through 90 minutes for a free night! Not only that, I wonder if they'd let me tack it on to the same trip and just cancel my last night at ASMu? I bet they make it so you can't use it right away, you have to come back for your free night. And then who stays just one night, so you'll NEED to buy more nights if you're going to be there anyway. It just sounds way too easy!

I have been so busy today. I took the kids to the farm and we spent 1/2 the day there. I wish I had known they had extra stuff going on for opening day - I only brought about $2.00 in quarters to feed the animals (admission is free). We were able to talk the kettle corn vendor down to $1 (from $3) for a smaller bag of kettle corn, and then he went ahead & gave us two! They built a new "dairy barn" that they filled w/cows and educational stuff about dairy farming, it was really cute - the kids milked a fake cow and pet a bunch of real ones. They shook up some cream to make butter, which we then left in the car and had to throw out because it melted & looked pretty gross. There were free samples of milk & you could get as many as you wanted! I took a ton of pictures but they are still in my camera.

We then had lunch at Sonic. We actually had to go to two, because at the first one we decided to eat outside, and I pushed the order button & waited for FIVE MINUTES and nobody ever answered. I even asked a carhop if anyone answered that one and she basically ignored me, so we left & went to one closer to home anyway. The girls ate everything! They were so hungry from running around all day.

On the way home we stopped at an estate sale - it was the last day and they were practically giving everything away before the Goodwill truck came, it was name your own price. My favorite kind of sale! Too bad there wasn't much good stuff left. We got some books for the kids - including an old Mickey Mouse Club storybook - and a little junk I don't need. ;)

I April Fooled Lyzzie this morning - I printed a sign for the playroom door that looks very official and basically says the government has shut down the room due to a rodent infestation caused by the incredible mess therein. She believed it and was very upset that all her toys were confiscated! Even after I let her in on the joke, she asked for permission to enter the room. Hee!

We came home and the kids played outside while I attempted to do some gardening - just planting a few seeds in pots & under our big tree. I say attempted because I've never been able to actually grow anything, but like a fool I keep trying every year. We'll see if anything happens.

This is the first time today I've gotten to actually sit down and do "nothing!"

Afternoon everyone!

Pozey, congrats on the prospect! Crossing my fingers and saying my prayers that you get an offer!

Ashley, I know what dress you are talking about! Was it the blue and white one with flowers? I put it on and felt like a 6 year old with all the hip/waist poof! But, I liked the blue, white and green one that was cut straight down and flared and I bought the purple wrap dress. Good luck dress hunting!

Nicole, whats a bean brunch? That sounds fun!

Michele, you and Bree look so much alike! Both of you are gorgeous! That pic was adorable.

Lesa, glad you had a great trip!

Stephanie, I mean 2x, and Donna, glad you had fun shopping!

Linda, say it with me, "I will not look on ebay today, I will not look on ebay today." Hehehe

Bonnie, have a great spring break!

Well, I hope Yolanda is doing alright getting ready to move! And I hope April is liking her new job. We miss her!!!!!

I worked all day yesterday and then we went to a local italian restaurant for my friend Stephanies birthday. It was fun but we got home super late and I had to sing Special Music at church this AM. It went well though. Now I'm sitting around watching Disney specials and waiting on my BIL and SIL to get here for dinner.

At work yesterday I was talking to my boss about some stuff and she was showing me the new store prototypes and talking about the 2007 company focus. She got me excited again. But, I'm still so torn! I don't know whether to stay or pursue the teaching thing. I'll PM you guys a little later with a bit more indepth reasoning because I'm sure you would like to know but don't want to post it on a public forum!

Love you all! Short and Tall!

Hey Lin!!

I saw that dress you are talking about, but the one I tried on was the white one with light blue & navy blue polka dots. It looked really cute on the hanger but when I tried it on it just wasn't very flattering!! I saw alot of cute skirts I would like to try though. Thanks for suggesting that store, I don't usually go there & they have alot of cute stuff!!

That is too funny!:lmao: Sounds like ya'll have had a busy and fun day today!

Ashley- Woohoo for the credit! :yay: Good luck at the dentist tomorrow!

Lin- The bead brunch I go to is at a little bead shop and we go there to make jewelry and the employees help us with what we're making. It inspires me to use some of the beads I have sitting around and make stuff out of them!

I saw those sundresses at NY& Co on Friday, I didn't have a chance to try anything on, but plan on going there on the weekend. I saw a cute dress at Target today, I might have to go get it. Old Navy has some sundresses on sale this week, I'll have to go check them out.
