Ashley - yay for you, for getting to go! What a wonderful DH you have!

Lesa - frustrating about your hair - once you get used to it, hopefully it'll start to fade.... That's a chunk of money to spend to NOT be happy with the job done!

Linda - good luck to our Master Kenny on wrestling today!! And if I dont' 'see' you before tomorrow - have a safe trip and a wonderful cruise!!

I do have a non-request-----may I request no pics of me, please?? I know I'm being wierd, but I just can't stand the way I'm looking these days. I'll bring pics of how I used to look.;) :lmao: No, seriously, my illness is somewhat physically challenging and the prednisone, well, it has it's own physical challenges. Thanks for understanding. Who knows, maybe I'll feel more confident when I get there and hop in a picture or two----I don't know. I know I sound really vain, but I'm not---this has been just really difficult for me.
Awww.... :grouphug:
I actually would like to see a group photo of ya'll during your trip, but can TOTALLY understand. Just know, we love you for you.

I know what you mean about the pictures. I will TRY not to take any pictures of you, but I warn you... if you are doing something cute with Emma I do like to take candids. However, I will erase it on the spot if it looks bad. I HATE the way I look right now - I weigh 30 pounds more than I did in 2004 when Emma was born, and it's all in my middle and my face. My hair has not cooperated in years. I can't stand pictures of me... but I know that I will regret it in years to come if I don't have any, so I just smile and try not to let anyone see them unless I like them. But when I see pics of myself now, I look at them and say, "Who's that fat lady?"
You just described ME!!! How funny, that's what I say too - actually, I just try to stay BEHIND the camera, not in front of it. I was blessed with a facial structure that gives me no chin and no jaw - I can be not heavy at all, and look very heavy. I have to be painfully thin (like 100 lbs) to have any kind of jaw line. Those stupid supermodel genes missed me! Thank You, Parents. My aversion to photos is COMPLETELY vain.
OMG - OK I just read what I wrote, and I sound like some kind of mutant!

Well, Brittany said my hair makes me look ummm, younger!:thumbsup2 I asked her if it looked bad and she said "no it just makes you look younger!"
Madison on the other hand said "your hair looks really bad mom!" Then she said if I didn't stand in the light it didn't look so bad! That certainly made me feel better!!!:lmao:
Extra dessert for Brittany. No dessert for Madison.

Dznyfan-- that photo is of a beach on eastern Oahu near the Holona blowhole. You have to go down this kind of scary path to get there but it's totally worth it! It's no fun tracking back up either.
Very beautiful place!

Ash----

I think you can still ride on ME on short notice----you'll just have to pick up your bags and carry them on yourself since no tags will be issued. I would call WDW and make sure. Just tell them that your DH surprised you with a last minute trip and you want to take advantage of ME and see what they say. They should be able to just add you to a list and you can check in at the ME terminal.

If someone has already mentioned this, sorry, I haven't read yet.:cutie:
Yup, Ashley should have no problems even at this late date. :goodvibes Just call WDW and they will help you.

In 2005 Steven and I took a VERY LAST minute, spur of the moment trip. As in we called to make ressies on Monday night and on Wednesday morning we flew down. We took Magical Express for the first time no less. We didn't have any documents and I felt nervous but WDW assured me it would be no problem. When I approached a CM w/ the big Mickey glove I explained my situation, last minute trip, no documents. The CM said, "That's ok. We've been expecting you. As stupid as this sounds, I got all teary. They'd been expecting us. I don't know why but it made me feel all warm and fuzzy.
We did have to get our own luggage though but we've never had our bags delivered anytime after that either.

As far as picking a place for you all to meet, just make sure Ashley has a place to sit till you all get together. That'd be a long time to stand. :faint:

Yay, Ashley!! So cool you're going!!! Makes me want to drive to the airport just to welcome you all!!! :hyper: And so poor Ashley doesn't have to wait by herself.

April- I'm flying out of Dulles. Baltimore is much much further from me...Luckily, (for me) Southwest just started flying out of Dulles so I can take advantage of the cheap tickets!! I know, it is going to suck having to wait but its worth it! I just know I'm going to be SO tired...so I'll have to sneak in a nap sometime Friday if at all possible, so I can stay up for EMH at Epcot (my favorite park tied with MK!)

2x- My plane comes in at about 8:55 am. I did call Disney and get my ME stuff taken care of....I know I wont be able to get my documents in time so I'll be picking up my luggage too! To be honest I like having it with me anyways...;) I TOTALLY understand about the pictures, but like Lyzziesmom said, I'll be sad in 50 years if I dont have any of myself....I'll definitely respect your wishes. :goodvibes I get it!!!

ETA: I just looked at my knee again and I have a HUGE black & blue mark that is killing me!! I hope it goes away! :scared:

I just wish that SW would fly out of an airport close to me. They fly out of Raleigh/Durham and Nashville. Both 5 hours away in opposite directions. I had like $300 worth of credits w/ Southwest before I moved here. So I didn't have to go down to WDW by myself I told my sister I would fly her down (w/ those credits) if she'd come with me. I still have about $150 left to use. I'm glad you got ME worked out. :goodvibes

DznyFan. It took me a minute to figure out what you were trying to say. and then I :lmao: cracked up. Sorry, but she must have been so excited she didn't even think before she typed. Reminds me of a time I just got my license and I was driving my great-grandmother to the grocery store. This car cuts me off and I was like, "What the hell??" Her jaw dropped and alls I said was "hell". But I guess she thought young ladies didn't talk like that.

Question:  :scratchin

Can Jeremiah do the 24 hour check in thing here and then I just check my luggage at the resort (since Southwest is a supporting airline) and they could re-print the boarding pass for me? I think my OCD is coming out now and I'm obsessing about getting an A boarding pass!!!

Are you guys sure you want to meet me??????

That's a good question, Ashley. I'm not sure though. We've never had anyone at home to do that for us but it sounds like a great idea to me. I'm sure one of the other girls will know the answer to this. But if it makes you feel any better, we've always gotten an A everytime when we've had the front desk check-in for us and it has never been at exactly 24 hours prior when at WDW. From home, yes, I've checked in at exactly at 24 hours but I've never been able to from WDW (either we're in a park or eating) but we've always been ok. But if Jeremiah could do it, that would be great. I just don't have an answer for you. Sorry. So, you're probably wondering why I even bother to post if I didn't have an answer  I don't know, I'm just too darned excited!

ETA:: I don't see why he couldn't check in for you. I guess the main question is can you get back to the "boarding pass" screen after you click out of it or access it from another computer. You know how when you check in, you're automatically taken to the boarding pass screen and then you just print it out? But you probably could. I mean, what if you misplaced your boarding pass? You'd have to be able to get back in to print it right? Anyway, it sounds like a great idea, though.

:rotfl: Thanks anyway, April :thumbsup2 (thumb!!!) It does make me feel better, I'm just obsessing about this!!! I HATE not being able to pick my seat!

:teeth:

ETA: I know they'd issue me a new boarding pass- I just am curious if it would still be an 'A'. ???? Or if that would change, since its so close to the flight time when I check into the airport.

OK- MUST STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER NOW!!!

We have to go to the Wal-Mart to see if they still have the Mickey sweater and also to get dinner!! I'll check in later!!!!!

Yippee....Yippee!!!!  Ashley gets to go to the Convention!!!!! How awesome is that!!!!

I've been reading since I got home this evening!! I had to finish reading everyone's posts!!!
Jeremiah....you are a doll!!!!  How sweet to get Ashley to Orlando for us!!!!
I'm just sooo excited for Friday to get here!!! I need to be making lasagna for our company tomorrow evening, but I just can't tear myself away right now!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

:rotfl: Thanks anyway, April :thumbsup2 (thumb!!!) It does make me feel better, I'm just obsessing about this!!! I HATE not being able to pick my seat!

:teeth:
OH I completely understand and feel ya sister! That's the ONE thing I hate about Allegiant Air (the low cost carrier that flys out of Greenville). You can pick your seats but can you believe they charge you an extra $11 just to pick your seat?? Isn't that highway robbery? Well the first (and only) time I flew them I didn't pay to do it because I just thought that was ridiculous. I'd take my chances and because there were two of us we'd probably get a two seater anyway. On the way down, no problem. Steven and I were in a two seater and even though I was originally assigned the window seat :scared: I switched w/ Steven and all was well. Well, on the way back we were put in a 3 seater and I was put in the middle :crowded: I had to talk myself down and calm myself down. It was horrible because I'm like you! I HAVE to have the aisle seat so I completely understand. I'm waiting for my sister to call me back because she may know the answer.

OK, Ash, you're going to think I'm a dork but I just called Southwest and talked to George so I have an answer...

Anyway, George said that is fine. Your DH can check you in and then whenever we get back to the resort you can go to the front desk and have them print it for you. Not a problem.

And he used the example of say you lost your boarding pass you'd have to be able to get back in there to print it.

So there's the official SW answer. :thumbsup2 (thumb) :cool1: Jeremiah can check you in and you can get the actual boarding pass paper whenever you get back to the resort.

ETA:: Just remember to take your confirmation number w/ you to the front desk. I once forgot mine and boy what a mess that was.

I have to make a dinner run and pick up some stuff. I'll be back later!!:hyper:

I just found out we are going to see Beauty And The Beast in NYC!! going to see John Tartaglia as Lumiere!!! At least we get to see it on Broadway before it closes! Erin will be stalking the stage door....

See how his shirt pulled up a little from his pants? Yeah she'll like that. ;)

We had GREAT seats at MGM last year. I wasn't even zooming in!

Ashley: I was going to answer you about the check-in, but I see April beat me to it, and did a much better job! Unless something has changed, I don't think SW is a participating airline, so you can't check in your luggage at the resort. You can still get your boarding pass though as April said, and luggage services will hold it for you if you want to go the park in between checking out of the hotel and getting on the ME bus.

I went to Deal$ today to get some ponchos, and they told me they haven't gotten any in for a while! So off to Target I headed, and found the .89 disposable ponchos. I bought them all. So... I will have a few extras for anyone who might forget theirs. :thumbsup2 (thumb) I also picked up a MixClips thingy for Lyzzie's MixStick mp3 player at 75% off, so it was only $5. I am such a great bargain hunter!! And I only spent a total of about what 2 ponchos would cost in WDW. :faint:

:offtopic: Today is turning out to be a crappy day all around. First my hair, now I have received 2 phone calls tonight from one of Brittany's friends mom. Apparently the group of friends they hang around have been mean to her daughter and since Brittany and her are supposably best friends she is upset Brittany didn't stick up for her. The other girls are mad at this girl because she won't keep secrets, is hyper, tells boys the girls like them when they don't. You know, 12 year old girl stuff. Brittany is always being put in the middle and made to choose. Well this mother is accusing Brittany of being a bad friend. It doesn't matter that her daughter has called Brittany stupid, ugly, told her to get her own friends you name it. Again 12 year old girl stuff! This went on for 20 minutes and all I could say was I'm sorry, I don't know what else to say. :confused3 They're 12, they'll figure it out! What does she want me to do? I know Brittany hasn't been so innocent in this, but dang should I beat her for not being a "best" friend. Ugh!!!!!!!!!! The kicker is David and I are "friends" with the parents and David was suppose to go over there for the Superbowl, but now he's like "I guess I have to figure out something else to do for the Superbowl!" :rolleyes2

3 days left!!!:cool1: :cool1:

Great deals, Lyzziesmom!! :thumbsup2 (thumb) Last time we were there I forgot to bring our ponchos. I always bring the ponchos. It hardly ever rains (in Dec.) when we're there but I've got them. This last time I forgot them and it rained just about everyday. I bought some from Disney. :rolleyes2 Bet I'll remember them this time. ::yes::

Wow, Lesa. Really sorry to hear about your troubles. I don't have kids but just from my own childhood, my mom or friends' moms never got involved. I mean, girls are just like that. One minute they're fighting and the next minute they're best friends. And it seems that long after the moms are still upset the girl have moved on. Even when I would gripe or complain to my mom about one of my friends she'd be like, "Work it out." I hope everything gets blown over so your DH can go watch the SuperBowl with them.

April, Yippee for the job stuff! Still sending P&PD your way!

Ashley! How awesome of Jeremiah! You lucky girl! Go and have the time of your life!

I had all this other stuff to respond too...but I can't remember any of it and the quote thingy wasn't working!

I did nothing today! I am trying desperately to clean and declutter the house just in case we need to put it on the market but it makes me sleepy!

Anyway, I just got some bad news from my old Lubbock store that makes me even more sure that TCP isn't the company I want to be working for. At this point I'm thinking maybe working part-time at another place would be better than full time here! But then I think about the financials and I just feel trapped in a whole that I can't get out of. I find that I spend all my time off just being cranky about the whole situation. Maybe we should all just start our own Disney fanbased company and become the Cliqueless Millionaires?

Much Love!

 Is it me or did the smilies move around again???:confused3 Sorry your feeling down!

Well, I just got through assembling the lasagna. It's all ready to pop into the oven tomorrow evening!!:thumbsup2

Lesa:: I'm sure your hair will look just fine to us; we have nothing to compare it to.:confused3 I'm off to do mine the cheap way...myself.

Lin:: Sorry your job isn't improving. The last time I was at TDS it just seem like a toddler/baby clothign store. I remember all the neat "Disney" stuff I used to buy there and it saddens me to see the change.

I've checked out weather.com. and I think the forecast has been for rain for quite a while. They're predicting 50% chance, maybe it'll be wrong.

Well off to make myself a brunette again....be back in a bit.
