Yay Ashley! That's so great!



On Friday I was looking at SW airfare, just to look and airfare was 120 each way, and I have a small credit. If I were to go I would have been able to only be there Fri night thru Sun morn. Now I really regret not booking it even though I would not be there too long. I didn't even think about where I would stay and everything. And you know I don't even care about going to the parks. I just want to meet you guys. Aww....I'm getting emotional.

There is a discount code that may or may not be a pin. According to the CM's if you call and know the pin code, they will give you the discount. It's only good for certain dates though (I tried to get the discount for our April trip, but couldn't).

I know what you mean! Ashley is right, it doesn't have to be too expensive. That would be too awesome if you guys could work it out and you could join us after all sending as much p&pd I can find!!!!OHHHH gosh you guys have me all excited!

YES, I'm terrified about the prospect of the characters!! As you guys know, characters are a no-no for me! I have to admit, thats one of the reasons (besides $$$) that I'm alittle apprehensive about going to the p&P party, I don't know how many, or what characters will be out walking around.

OOOOOKAY. Big, big news.

Do you want the good, or the bad first?


OK, I'll tell you the good first:

I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!! WITH, my favorite people in the world! YOU GUYS!!! Thanks to the best husband in the whole entire world who just surprised me!!. He just called and woke me up- he booked me a room for Port Orleans/Riverside (the first set of bad news, I'm disappointed I'm not near you guys- actually not disappointed, more like SCARED TO DEATH because I've never been alone anywhere EVER ) from February 2-February 6. They didn't have availability at FQ for the 2&3rd, and he figured switching would be a big pain by myself so he booked it for the whole time there. Another bad news--apparently, the Riverside foodcourt is closed for refurb. I don't know how much that will affect me, I'm guessing I'll be coming to see you guys alot but I don't know. I actually like Riverside alot, I've stayed there before twice- I'm just alittle apprehensive about being alone.

Besides being terrfied because I've never been anywere by myself before, something baaad happened last night. I re-injured my (bad) knee..I slipped in the bathroom and landed on it hard . I'm not sure how its going to be feeling by Friday or how much I'm going to be able to walk or how fast. ??? THoughts???


I got the dining plan, and I think funds are going to be pretty limited besides that because of the short notice so I'll only be doing 1 sit down a day, I think. On Sat, when you guys did 50's Prime Time I'll get a CS or something...And I'm not sure I'm going to the Pirate & Princess party (more panic cause thats more time I'll be alone.)


BUT WHO CARES ABOUT ALL THAT STUFF! I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!

WOW....did you just say you are going to WDW.

Ok...get all those fears out of your head... you are going to have a great time!!! I think it's a ten minute walk to the FQ...plus with the food court being closed you will be over eating beignets with the crew. Not everyone is going to the P&P party. Your DH is a wonderful guy!

Great job for the boys. Swimming is such a good choice for physical fitness..what made you guys decide to to that route?

Here's the story on swimming.....

When Colton turned 4, we put him in swim lessons at Miller Swim School in Tulsa. He was a natural in the water. He progressed through each level very quickly. And then, when he turned 8, he said he wanted to try out for Miller's Swim Team. And he has been on the team ever since. He is not really into any other sports.

Chase, on the other hand is a natural baseball player. He LOVES baseball. He did NOT like the water.

He hated the water when he began swim lessons. He started at a later age than did Colton. He bagan swim lessons just before he turned 6. He hated going to swim lessons and wanted to quit so bad. I told him that he could quit as soon as he could swim well enough that he could get into a pool and tread water and swim from one side to the other.

Well, then last summer, Miller's swim team practiced at an outdoor pool. And Chase would just get in the water and stay in the shallow end and play. Long story short……he went from being afraid of the water and barely knowing how to swim 5 feet to winning races in about 6 months.

Pozey - Surround sound and baking?

Yeah, but I didn’t mention my big blunder of the weekend……

I went to Lowe’s to buy a replacement door for our pantry. Our pantry door has a hole in it from years ago when Colton opened it too far.

Anyway, I bought the door, brought it home and was out in the garage painting it. I finished painting one side, when I turned around and………boom……knocked over the paint can. Splash……splatter!! White paint all over the garage floor and up onto the garage walls. Took me about 20 minutes to clean up the mess. Then I had to go to the paint store and get more paint, since I just spilled most of what was left.

YM and Pozey If you catch some BATV, (Cox cable 20) there's a show on it now that closes with my Ms. E's callback audition of "Goodnight My Someone" - as the closing piece. I don't get Cox, but I thought I'd share it with my local peeps... I have to get a DVD copy from BATV.

We don’t have Cox cable. I’ll have to see if I can find someone around here that does and see if they will tape it for me.

Can somebody explain to me how it is to fly Southwest? I know you can't choose your seat which is making me panic because I need an aisle seat. I've heard you can do online check-in. Do you do that on midnight the night before (which would suck considering my flight leaves at 6 in the morning and I have to be there at like, 3something) or can I do it 24 hours in advance? If you do that can you stilll check your bag through without any problems? and how do you get your boarding pass early at WDW if you dont have a computer!

YAY ASHLEY!! I'm so glad you are able to come, it's going to be so fun!! You and Emma can avoid the face characters together... but she adores the ones in costumes.

On Southwest, you can check-in 24 hours ahead of time and get your boarding pass, so if your flight leaves at 6am on Fri. you can check in online at 6am on Thurs. Then when you get to the airport, bring your printed out boarding pass, it will have your group on it (A B or C). Go to the regular check in counter, there will be lines for "baggage only" - that's where you want to go since you already have your boarding pass. It's so easy, you just go up to a touch screen and enter in your reservation number and someone will check in your bags, and you're done! If you're using ME, you won't see your bags again until you are in your room at WDW. When you get to the terminal, be sure to get in line early for your group, you don't want to be at the end of the group. It's probably the worst line you'll stand in for the whole trip!

For the return trip, I think I remember reading here that you can ask the lobby concierge to print your boarding pass for you at the hotel the day before you leave, as long as it's in the 24-hour window. I never do that since I have Emma, we just pre-board so it doesn't matter what "group" we are in.

Oh no, that's too bad that you hurt your knee! Baby yourself and take good care of it, hopefully it will feel better before Friday. (FOUR DAYS!!!) If not, we can limp through the parks together!! My back is a lot worse than it was during my last trip, I have no idea how I'm going to make it through each day but it's WDW so I will find a way!!
