My youngest DS is having 3 friends sleep over for his birthday...
Linda...I see there's been some good news "floating" around.

So what year are we looking at for our cliqueless cruise.
I hope you survived the sleep over! The new ships won't be sailing until 2011

but we can still do either the Magic or Wonder cruise. I think everyone is talking maybe late 08'. How does that sound for you? It looks like Dec. won't work for most. Maybe Oct. or something?
We ordered Papa Johns about an hour and 20 minutes ago and it still hasn't showed.
I hope you called and complained. That is ridiculous. I'd be starving too!
Its a pizza night for us too. We had papa johns, I got pepperoni with mushroom. My favorite!
My favorite!!!
Wow...I justed posted number 2000 and didn't even celebrate.
Congrats YM!!! I hit 3k posts this week too!!
I gave up chocolate for lent and Thursday morning (the first "official" day after Ash Wed)---was flying out the door as usual to get to my treatment and without even thinking grabbed a small bottle of something and downed it in the car. I was sitting at a stop light and it hit me that I just drank chocolate milk!!!! So, I made up a new rule that liquids don't count
Linda---two new ships, huh?
Cloud 9 for you, I'm sure!!!! Will you be on the maiden voyage???? I think I know the answer to that------does Mike know yet?? Hi Kenny!!!!
Congrats on your nursing!!! I haven't read details, but it was mentioned today, so I'm assuming things are going in the right direction??
Yeah, I'm w/ya liquids don't count.

I'm definitely on cloud 9 still! Yeah, Mike knows. I emailed him the link and his reply was : OH NO!

I'd LOVE to be on the maiden voyage...but we'll have to see about that one. I've got to check out the details of what I can do when, but I am doing it!
Wilma finally got a new cell phone!!!!
Now THAT is something we need to celebrate

That is too funny!
I swear I'm so itchy right now I could scream!!
Sorry Ashley. I sure hope it goes away soon!
find the pirate booty---I mean loot.
The wine tasting was really fun last night! We had a great time! I was hoping to be able to pop back on here last night but our guests didn't leave until 11! I picked up my kitty yesterday and he's such a cutie! He's just so glad to be home that he hasn't stopped purring and following me around. I have to say that this is about the best cat I've ever had. My husband says I love the cat more than him
I'm dreaming of a cruise to some place really warm right now! Those new Disney ships sound neat! Can't wait!
Well, I think I am going to scrapbook today. I'm scrapping photo's o fone of our Disney trips so that should be fun. Have a great day everyone!
That is awesome you had a good wine tasting evening. It sounds like a blast. Yay for the kitty! I'm w/ya on dreaming of a cruise!!
Hi Donna and all of the "clique" crew. I wanted to stop in and say Hi. Your muffins do look delicious.
Welcome Tricia! Come join us anytime. Glad you stopped in
Hi Donna & company.
Thanks again for the muffins
Welcome Joanne

Glad you stopped in too. Come join us anytime. We're all harmless, well, most of us
Did someone mention cliquless convention Must remain calm, must remain calm. Going on a cruise would be great especially with a cruise expert like Linda (and Master Kenny of course). Well I must get to some housework. For some reason Perla and Suzy just aren't doing a very good job cleaning. They are spending WAY to much time with one particular person if you know what I mean.
Cruise expert

I'm honored, but I'm no expert. I'm just obsessed
Very funny so early in the morning! Have fun cleaning. I would love to do a cruise sometime and bring whole family
most definitely!
Oh, and just a request-----if you all are really serious about a cruise-----any possibility of anytime other than Dec?? I can't take vacation mid Nov through Dec. because of my business. I can do it anytime around this though. If not, no biggie. Thanks.
HAVE A GOOD SATURDAY EVERYONE!!!
I agree, Dec. doesn't sound like a good time for most of us. Is Oct. good for you?
I mentioned the December time to Sherri, too. December is NOT a good time for me to skip town...we'll see. I don't think I could afford a cruise anyway I wouldn't want to go without Gary and Nathan.
just an idea, but for the 7 night land/sea for us 3 was only 2k.
What is the realistic cost for a cruise? And would you get a discount for large parties?
I'd have to look into large party discounts. I'm sure we could get one...but it really depends WHEN you go. If school is out, its more expensive

Hurricane season is basically like June or July -Dec. September is prime hurricane season and is almost the cheapest time to cruise. Oct. shouldn't be too bad. The earlier we book, the cheaper too. The cheapest cabin starts about $799 per adult. Double occupancy required. If you could room w/someone...that would be ideal so you don't pay for 2 people even if it's just you!
Just wanted to pop in and say hi!
There was some excitement here this morning. We are surround by woods. The owner of the lot across from us has been clearing the land for the past few months. He had been piling everything up into several massive piles. Today, he decided to light them on fire. He didn't get permission and had no way to control the flames (there is no house there yet, thus no water). Oh, and it is VERY windy. It got out of control, so the fire department showed up. They put it out and he will probably be fined. Why he thought he was doing a good thing is beyond me. I just hope he doesn't try it again (most of the piles are still there).
I hope everyone is having a good day!

yikes!!!
I'm craving the pineapple upside-down cake I got at Coral Reef! I already was dreaming of the peanut sauce you get at 'Ohana, and now this!!!
I agree about the Dec convention...That time of year is so busy! (and expensive) I've never been on a cruise, I don't think I would want to go without Jeremiah either! Even though he is terrified of the ocean....
Do you like Coral Reef? I've never been there, but want to. I love the peanut sauce at 'Ohana too!!! The first week of Dec. is light crowds and cheaper...but I don't think Dec. is going to work anyway. We even cruised 1st week of Dec. and it was 2k for 7 nights for the 3 of us. Same as Sept. rate

My mom is terrified of water in general and can't even swim, but she LOVED the cruise!
In all honesty, December is an offlimits time for me to go on vacation too. I think I had originally suggested it thinking I would be able to get out of retail and wanted to rebel and go on vacation in December. I wonder how October would go over? Anyone know about the weather that time of year?
Oct. sounds good to me! Oh wait, I better ask Mike
OH! I forgot to mention that Lyzzie's Disney Crocs arrived today... they fit and she LOVES them! She hasn't taken them off all afternoon.
Cool. Sounds like she likes them, just a little!
Linzybrooke I think October would be ok too but when is hurricane season? I don't know how much it would affect a cruise but just a thought. Maybe the prices are cheaper during that time.
Lyzziesmom I got my crocs today too.

They are pretty comfortable just walking around the house. I hope they are as comfortable walking at Disney.
It would make it cheaper. I don't think the rates would be too bad. The weather should be pretty good. In case there is actually a hurricane, they'd just take you to different ports. No biggie. they'd just get away from it. I was lucky enough to be right behine a hurricane on my Sept. cruise when Kenny was 18 mo. old. The hurricane was 3 days behind us. Everywhere we'd just been, it hit! You could feel the waves some, but nothing bad at all. I'm so glad I wasn't on one of the cruises coming in the next few weeks, they'd be seeing destroyed islands. If it is really bad they shut it down to tourists. When we cruised in Dec. 04', Grand Cayman had JUST re-opened to tourists

it was still pretty bad. It made me mad too b/c I REALLY wanted shorts from Hard Rock Cafe...and they were still closed. But then again, guess I just have to go back another time
Today was awesome! We had friends call and they were planning 17 of us to all go swimming at the Rec. center, then all out to eat at Red Robin. One of them has a son Kennys age, so they had a blast. I hadn't been to Red Robin in YEARS. It was great. Best spinach dip I've ever had. Well...I better call it a night

Hope you're all enjoying your weekend so far!
