Good Morning. How is everyone on this fine Saturday morning? Thanks for the muffins Donna. Did someone mention cliquless convention:rolleyes1 Must remain calm, must remain calm. Going on a cruise would be great especially with a cruise expert like Linda (and Master Kenny of course). Well I must get to some housework. For some reason Perla and Suzy just aren't doing a very good job cleaning. They are spending WAY to much time with one particular person if you know what I mean.

Good Morning, YourMajesty!!!!:worship: How are you this morning!! I invited a few friends over for breakfast!!!:goodvibes

I see little miss social!

No basketball....it's over for the year!!! I forgot about the protein food group!!! Thanks Ms. Nutritionist!!:teeth::thumbsup2

Yes, I think you mentioned you basketball was over. No "problemo" I want our breakfast queen to know there's "nutrition" in those delicious offerings.;)

I just made a HUGE mistake!!!!! I turned on the DIS Radio and they are playing the music from the parade:sad1: I want to be back in my happy place!! Oh well. Just have to be happy with my friends here until my next trip.

I'm off to take Lyzzie to her Girl Scout's "Thinking Day," but I just wanted to give a big ol' WELCOME to Tricia and Joanne! Come by anytime, we love new people here! The more the merrier, y'know?

Oh and 2x... good luck finding that pirate booty. You'll have to look a little farther... like my house. ;)

Good morning, Sherri (it is spelled with an "i" isn't it?)
I think there is talk of a Dec. '08 Cruise. I would probably only be able to do a few days on land. Dec. is a busy time of year at the old drycleaners.
I shudder to think where Suzy and Perla have been. I need to do some major cleaning, too. I just can't seem to tear myself away from the Dis this morning!!

Must go now!!!!

Yes my name is spelled with an "i". Goin in Dec. '08 would be great. It would give us over a year to save. Keep me posted.

Good Morning YM, Pozey, Lyzziesmom, and Toot Sweet.
YM do you still have your sanity?

I forgot to congratulate YourMajesty on her 2000th post!!

Congrats YM!!! :woohoo: party: :rockband: party:

Good Morning Crew!!!!

It's cold and gross and icky and gross and rainy and cold and gross and ick outside today. Got that??:thumbsup2 (thumb, if you want)

But, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. haha

Donna---thanks for the nutricious and delicious muffins this morning. Have fun baking your cake. Did you figure out anything unique??
Thanks for the boot(y) too, but that's not quite what I had in mind.:scared1: :lmao:

Yolanda---how much snow did you get this time?? I'm sure you can't wait to get out of town!!
Have fun scrapbooking----great way to wind down after you night of wine tasting.
Aww, I miss animals in the house----I'm just never home so I don't think it's fair to have any. I grew up with dogs, but I love cats too.

Hi Pozey!!!!

Hi Nicole!!!

Hi Sherri!!! Dis Radio----brings back the memories, huh?? sigh.

Lyzziesmom---"thinking day"?? sounds interesting.

Hi YM!!!! Are the boys still there, or did you send them home??

Hi Bonnie----good to "see" you again.

Welcome to Tricia and Joanne!!!!

I must run-----lots to do on this cold, rainy, icky day.:umbrella: :umbrella: :sunny:

Oh, and just a request-----if you all are really serious about a cruise-----any possibility of anytime other than Dec?? I can't take vacation mid Nov through Dec. because of my business. I can do it anytime around this though. If not, no biggie. Thanks.

HAVE A GOOD SATURDAY EVERYONE!!!

:wave2: Hi!!! I just stopped in a minute to see what was happenin' on the thread!!

YM:: YAY!!! Back from basketball and for still having your sanity!!!:woohoo:

2x2s:: It is a nasty day out today isn't it? Our cake is in the oven!!! I think we're going to go with something with a basketball theme....Slam Dunk for CubScouts or something along those lines.:scratchin:
I mentioned the December time to Sherri, too. December is NOT a good time for me to skip town...we'll see. I don't think I could afford a cruise anyway; I wouldn't want to go without Gary and Nathan.

Well, the oven timer says one minute to go!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Personally I don't think Dec. would be the best time to go either just for the simple fact that it is sooo close to Christmas. What is the realistic cost for a cruise? And would you get a discount for large parties? I have never looked into it before.

Sorry to hear your having bad weather 2xcited2slp. Besides the wind and that it's cold here the sun is shining bright.

Donna, make sure you take a picture of this cake. I wanna see. Maybe we could even have a piece for dessert tonight.

Hey YM. Cleaning...what cleaning?!?!?!? Did I say something about cleaning.
Me and my big mouth again. Actually it is going ok. I am now on the way out the door. Matt needs some new jeans. Working in a warehouse loading trucks takes a real toll on his clothes. Poor man. Most of his work pants have holes in the pockets and he's afraid he's going to lose his keys at work. If any of you find keys at Wal-mart they might be Matt's:rotfl:
Oh and i forgot

CONGRATULATIONS YM ON REACHING YOUR 2,000TH POST

Just wanted to pop in and say hi!

There was some excitement here this morning. We are surround by woods. The owner of the lot across from us has been clearing the land for the past few months. He had been piling everything up into several massive piles. Today, he decided to light them on fire. He didn't get permission and had no way to control the flames (there is no house there yet, thus no water). Oh, and it is VERY windy. It got out of control, so the fire department showed up. They put it out and he will probably be fined. Why he thought he was doing a good thing is beyond me. I just hope he doesn't try it again (most of the piles are still there).

I hope everyone is having a good day!

Good afternoon everyone :cool1:

I need to get moving, I am still in my PJ's!! I guess it warmed up here some, most of the snow and ice melted away!!

Donna, I hope your cake turns out good! Post some pics of it if you get the chance. :) Because of your breakfast now I'm craving the pineapple upside-down cake I got at Coral Reef! I already was dreaming of the peanut sauce you get at 'Ohana, and now this!!! :teeth:

I agree about the Dec convention...That time of year is so busy! (and expensive) I've never been on a cruise, I don't think I would want to go without Jeremiah either! (Even though he is terrified of the ocean.... :scratchin :) )

Welcome to the newbies!

P.S. Lyzziesmom, what do they do at "Thinking Day"? :confused3 ;)

I always wanted to join the Girl Scouts when I was little and I wasn't allowed. :sad2:

Amber: that is scary about your firebug neighbor! It reminds of a funny story about my grandparents. They live in a very rural area in MN, out on a ranch. They don't acutally do any ranching anymore, but they do board horses for one very nice young man. Anyway, they have a trash pile that they burn a few times a year, and several years ago it was trash-burning time during our family's visit. So, as always, my grandpa called the fire chief and told him they were burning their trash, and to please ignore any calls that might come in about T******k Ranch being on fire. So out go all the boys to have fun watching the trash burn, when what should happen, but a bit of wind comes up and carries a spark to the roof of the barn! Of course when we called the fire department, it took quite a bit of convincing to get them to realize the ranch really WAS on fire, and get them to come out! Meanwhile all the boys (dad, grandpa, and uncles) are out there with ladders and such trying to throw buckets of water up to the roof of the barn. Long story short... Grandpa now has a nice new barn!

I agree with everyone else that Dec. would not be a great time for a cruise. It's so expensive, and Dec. can be a very pricey time of year anyway, what with the holidays and all. I'd personally prefer late spring or early summer, that way I still have my tax refund available - I'm not that great at long-term saving. Just a thought.

Hi Ashley! How's your hand today? Thinking Day really needs a new name... all the GS troupes in their service unit got together at a local middle school's auditorium, and each troupe had a booth based on a different country. Lyzzie's troupe did China. The girls took turns manning the booths, and walking around visiting the other booths. Each booth had a food to sample, and a "swap" which was really just a little token giveaway - most were small flags attached to safety pins. I don't know why they call it a swap, when they don't trade anything. Many of the booths also had quick crafts for the girls to do. Japan had the most interesting... fish painting! They had two dead fish lying on the table, you put paint on them and press a sheet of paper down onto it. Apparently Japanese children find this to be a lot of fun, but we were just mostly grossed out. The event was a cute idea, and Lyzzie earned a badge for participating. It reminded me of a World Showcase if it was run by 5 to 13 year-old girls! I'm glad to be home though... I get nervous at those hectic things with so many kids, I don't really know why.

2x: Glad to see you seem to be feeling better! I was worried about you there for a while, chica. Enjoy your cold yucky rainy icky day (did I get that right?).

My parents are leaving for their cruise tomorrow morning. They have decided to leave tonight and stay at a hotel near the airport, because it's very rainy today and the temp is supposed to drop 25 degrees tonight, and they are worried about the roads turning icy. I wish I could go with!! Mom doesn't even know where the cruise is going, "Somewhere in Mexico, maybe Cozumel, and somewhere else." I'm so jealous!!

I think I'm going to try to take a nap - my new Rx seems to be making me sleepy today. Hi to Sherri and Donna (thanks for breakfast!) and YM and pozey and Nicole and everyone else!!

Lyzziesmom, that sounds like so much fun!! Like I said, I always wanted to join Girl Scouts but was never allowed...That dead fish thing sounds gross though :scared: My hand is the same...like I said, there is just a tiny bump on the vein...I just got paranoid because I looked online and they were talking about how it could be a blood clot :scared1: You know how paranoid I am, I don't think I should look online about medical stuff anymore!!!
Who's going to watch the girls while your parents are gone? How long is the cruise for?? That does sound nice, what I wouldn't give to just go out and lay by the pool all day! I think my skin is craving the sun!!! Have a nice nap, I hope your new medicine is working out for you!!

Ashley: I'm the same way about looking up medical stuff online, I get convinced that I'm going to die a slow, painful death from just the littlest thing. I was in GS when I was little but only for I think one year - my MOM was the troupe leader! It just sucked the fun right out of it. My grandparents came down from MN (yes the same ones with the barn fire) and they will watch the girls while my parents are on the cruise & I'm at work. I think they will be gone for a week. Up until the last minute, I kept hoping for a surprise invitation to join them!
