HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS LYZZIE

disneyprincesscastlecake.jpg

Just for you, the most appropriate birthday cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a fun day!!! party: party: party:

Lyzzie just saw this and she said, "WHOA."

"I'd like to have that to eat!" :jumping1:

Me too girlfriend, me too.

Good evening everyone! It is such a nice evening here the kind that just make you sit back and and say ahhh. I actually just turned the air off like 5 minutes ago bc amazingly there is no humidity outside and it is in the low 80's tonight will get into the 70's!!! :) It is a good sign that summer is slowly coming to an end. We usually have to wait for another month before we can consistently keep the ac off.

We bought a coffee grinder today and then Nick said something that had my jaw dropping to the floor, heck it broke through the floor. He said, "I really miss the coffee we got from Disney and maybe this weekend we can go up for a day, leave early in the morning and just go to EPCOT (our favorite park) and come back at night. I'd really like to get more of their coffee." I am hoping I wasnt dreaming it this would definitely be a first. I am telling ya he is slowly but surely being converted into a Disney Fan :wizard: . (and to think he use to claim to dislike Disney  )

Jill, You are sooo lucky that you are that close. Good job on converting Nick to a true Disney fan!!!

Jill, that is what I miss most about living in Ft. Lauderdale, (besides my family!): those spur of the moment weekend trips!!

Ugh.....What a weekend. Friday the guys were here pounding continuously for about 11 hours. They did not leave until about 8. Then they came back first thing Saturday to finish up, more banging! When they were packing up I asked why they did not cap around the windows and the corners of the house. They said that it was not on their orders. After an hour on the phone first with the sales guy, he insisted he never told me that the windows and edges would be done. :furious: I said oh yes you did, then he asked his wife if she remembered telling me that and of course she said no. :furious: What a jerk, and his wife is a bigger jerk, she hung up on me. :furious: Finally I got through to the owner. At first he was like you would have never been told that, blah blah blah. I basically said look, this is what I was told, your not getting paid until it is finished so you had better get it done. After a good 20 minutes babbling on and on and me telling him that word of mouth is most of his business and if he wants to do anymore business in this area he'll do what was promised to me. Well they will be out either Monday or Tuesday to finished. They don't know who they are messing with (right Michele! :lmao: ). Then the gutters need to be done. It does look really good though.

On Friday I took Madison to the doctor. Basically she has pneumonia and her asthma is not helping. Well this is a new doctor so she insisted we needed to "learn" to use the inhalers. It did not matter that I told her that Madison has been using them for over 5 years now. So she brought in practice inhalers and made Madison prove she knew how to use them. Well Madison was not in the mood so of course she would barely inhale. So they were like we have to give her something else because she can't use these. I'm like look she really can. So again they have her try and Madison does not humor them. So over an hour goes by and they are still trying to figure out what to give her, finally the doctor comes back in and I'm like look, she really knows how to use the inhalers she is just not "in the mood" if she is not in the mood to do something she ain't going to do it. Then I threatened Madison with her little life if she did not show them she could use the damn inhaler. So finally she gave us the stupid inhalers, but only after we spent 2 hours in the stupid office. :furious:

Saturday, I hear Gracie in the other room shedding something, so I told Madison to go see what it was. I hear "mom, come here", I told her to just take whatever it is away from her. Again "mom, come here NOW!" So I go and look and Gracie had somehow pulled the couch across the room and shredded the bottom flap of the couch. :furious:

Brittany still insisted her hand was broke so I went and bought her a brace to put on her hand, where she insists it is "broke" they can't do anything anyway, just charge me a fortune. So it has made her happy and shut her up. She said how it is much better and now it doesn't hurt.

Oh and I broke 2 fingernails! :furious: :furious:

Needless to say I had a major melt down Saturday night, and couldn't stop crying. Well today other than a slight headache, it is much better. I've still been a bit moody, but hey, I think I have a right to be! :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Wow, I feel much better now that I got that all out. I guess I was a bit wordy so if you are still with me :worship:

When I used to work in Boca sometimes I'd pack in the morning & then take off after work for WDW for the weekend... I believe it usually took just under 3 hours. But sometimes I could make it in 2!

Ashley, you sound like me with waiting until the last minute to pack! I always have the best of intentions, but then I NEED stuff so I don't want to pack it too early. I always forget one thing, one time it was my glasses! I had to have my mom FedEx them to me. That wasn't for WDW, it was when I went to Ft. Lauderdale for my high school reunion. Where is the picture of your haircut? I guess we will see pictures after your trip. A pedicure sounds nice. Can you believe I have never had one? I always mean to, but it just seems like such a luxury and I don't really spend too much money on myself anymore, and whenever I do splurge on something I feel guilty and selfish afterwards. That's what kids'll do to ya!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Lyzzie! She didn't get many presents, since she did get 10 days at WDW and if you ask me, that's more than enough! But I gave her a few things and since I couldn't find the wrapping paper & such, I came up with an idea that actually worked out great. I put each gift in a Mickey bag from our trip and gave them to her one at a time throughout the day. She loved it because she had time to actually play with each thing, rather than opening one gift, looking at it, and the on to the next. (Nah, I don't have spoiled kids!!) We had the cutest little tiny cake from Target - just the right size for the 3 of us and the best part is it was only 3.99!

DznyFan, that's too funny about the shoes. It took me forever to learn that shoes do not ALWAYS have to be adorable. Actually, I'm not entirely sure I have learned that yet. Although I do love my crocs, as bum-ugly as they are.

Linda, count me in the ranks of those who have not heard of a corn burner. It seems to me like it would smell funny?

2x, hope you're having a nice time for your mom's birthday!! Lyzzie is a little peeved that she doesn't have her birthday all to herself. She has to share it with a girl from my work, Lyzzie's best friend's brother, and now your mom! Your menu sounds very ambitious. I can totally relate to your sis not being in a helping mood, with all those kiddos. Heck I have days (when I'm not working) when I'm lucky if I can even get in a shower & get dressed with Emma around. I love the little sucker, but man she is high-maintenance!!

Jill, I don't remember EVER being able to turn off the a/c in FL! I wish it was like that while we were there. I think next year if they have free dining again, I'll plan my trip for a little bit later. Maybe around MY birthday instead of Lyzzie's!!

No hooting for me tonight, I hope to get to sleep at a decent hour. I turned the lights out last night at 10 and laid there squeezing my eyes shut, pretending to be asleep, and hoping my mind would catch on to the idea. At 1am I found myself flopped sideways on the bed, with my head hanging upside down over the side and one foot in the air. Yes, that really was the most comfy position at the time. I took that as a sign to give up and take a sleeping pill. I hate to take 'em too much, but with all the unpacking and moving furniture around, not to mention the WDW vacation catching up with me, my back has been screaming lately more often than not.

'Night all! Sorry if I missed anyone, I have a memory like a sieve.

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there (you're as happy as can be ::MickeyMo )

Well, dinner was a hit but I tell you, it was a blurr!! I feel like we were hopping from one thing to another and my sister even had alot of the prep work done already. My mom enjoyed herself and when I called her to let her know that I got home alright (because she requires this when we're all together--still a mom), she said that my dad even commented that we worked our booties off (well, in so many words). I about slapped my BIL when dessert roled around though. Everyone was at the table and I was plating the molten cakes on each plate in the kitchen. When I served them he said, "yeah, I like ding dongs". Listen hear, junk food junkie!! SLAP!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

A couple of you commented on the "gourmetness" of our dinner. I have grown up always enjoying to cook. It started out with my grandma and grandpa when I was about 4 or 5 years old---they used to let me help scramble the eggs for breakfast and "flip" the burgers on the grill for dinner. As I got older my tastes have matured, so I love to cook more with a gourmet flair--I have turned into a Foodie. But believe me, I still love good old box tacos, green bean casserole and bologna on white bread (just not out of a cooler in a tent :teeth: ). Plus, I'm Italian remember?? And what Italian doesn't cook?? (alright, maybe Stephanie Plum) But, I think I mentioned before that with my illness I am trying (on my own--because my doctor's are total Western medicine--treat everything with drugs) a gluten, dairy, sugar free diet as much as I can to see if this makes any difference. This is extremely difficult because I am such a Foodie. I just keep telling myself that every so often, like tonight and in WDW, of course, it won't hurt.

Funny story--when I was little I used to sit with my mom's Betty Crocker Cookie Book and circle the cookies that looked good---my sister has this book to this day (I should have it, right??) and my niece does the same thing to their cookbooks. My sister swears my niece is a mini-me. princess:

Thanks all for the birthday wishes for my mommy dearest--it's okay--this is what she calls herself--even signs her cards M.D. :teeth:

"NO WIRE HANGERS!!!"

Nicole--I'm glad you had a fairly good time and your imitation F&WF but I'm sorry it was so crowded. I have been to Epcot's---oh, it had to have been seven years ago or so---and to be honest I don't remember how the crowds were---which makes me think they weren't so bad?? But remember, that was quite a few years ago. We will be there this year though!!

Ashley-- :dance3: :dance3: :yay: :yay: ----------you know why!!!!!!!
Since you will miss the F&WF by a hair, I'll have an Ice Wine in Canada for you this year. I will say, "here's to Ash!!"

MImom--so glad you are feeling better today.

Now that I'm done complaining about my weekend...... Hi everyone!

Lizziesmom...I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma. :grouphug:

:bday: to Lizzie! I hope she had a grand birthday!!! party:

Michele....I am glad you are feeling better! I was going to call you this weekend to talk about when we come home, but well, not a great weekend around here. So I will try to call you later this week.

Ashley.... :mickeyjum 5 more days! My aunt and her 2 little ones are going for the first time and they are leaving tomorrow. I am so jealous. :guilty:

If you're a fan of spicy dishes, there is an appetizer called Bang Bang Shrimp - which is a lightly breaded and fried shrimp that is served in a creamy, spicy sauce.... yum.
The bang bang shrimp is yummy and I'm not a spicy food person!

Precious Pixie....Good luck with the job hunting. There's nothing worse than working for a crappy boss. Good luck on your exams and I hope your presentation goes well!

Linda....I may be checking out that corn burner. I had never heard of it before either.

2xcited...I hope your feeling better! pixiedust: The birthday menu sounds yummy! I hope the party went well. Happy Birthday to your mom! :bday:

Hello to anyone else I missed!

Well off to bed for me. It's been a long and stressful weekend. I need my beauty sleep (boy do I need it tonight) and I need to be ready for more pounding tomorrow if it doesn't rain.

Night night, don't let the bed bugs bite!
smilie_bett.gif

Lesa - that is quite a weekend you had. Here is some pixie dust that they actually come by and do everything on the roof they are suppose to :wizard:

Lyzziesmom - you should go out and treat yourself to a pedicure or whatever it may be. You are such a hard working mom you deserve it

Nicole - as Lyzziesmom said it takes me anywhere from 2 1/2 - 3 hrs. I like being able to go whenever we want but it is harder to convince nick that we need to go there for 7 straight days. We dont have have time to plan a trip like that anyway and he all ready knows where I want to celebrate graduation in 2009! ::MickeyMo

2x - Sounds like dinner was a huge success! Are there any leftovers I could take them with me for lunch. I also wanted to say that I am also a firm believer in natural medicine. Eating ground flax seed has helped me more than my rx's were for a problem that I was having. Lucily I had a dr who also believed in natural medicine, ecspecially as a preventive measure.

Well my first Plum book arrived and I am going to try to read sme before I go to bed. Have a great night! I'll see you at breakfast

Hi everyone!!

Well, I just found out a secret. :ssst: I was talking to Jeremiah at dinner tonight about how I wish my mom could come up while we were in Florida so I could see her. I was just thinking out loud and since she's been low on cash lately I was saying how she has the FL resident pass, she could stay in the room with us, I would give her money for gas. Well Jeremiah was like, "I'm going to call her and tell her it would be a nice surprise for you!!" (Even though it wouldn't be a surprise... ) I called her tonight as usual and Jeremiah was like, "Ashley, can I talk to your mom in private? Go out of the room" (Even though I didn't :teeth: ) And it turns out my parents are planning on coming up Friday (our arrival day) and only staying until Saturday night, but atleast I get to see them!! But she made Jeremiah promise not to tell me, and even though I am sooo excited right now, I am nervous because I am never good at acting surprised when I know something. :confused3 But I get to see my Mommy! :cheer2: Jeremiah said she is going to call us, ask us how we like the hotel, what building we are in, etc and surprise us. He said she was staying at "Port Oreans" so I'm not sure if she's staying at Riverside or FQ.

Lesa, I'm so sorry about that ordeal with the workers! Whenever we get something done with our apartment, I am always a nervous wreck. :grouphug: I'm glad you aren't letting them take advantage of you!!

Lyzziesmom, I completely forgot about the picture! Your right, you guys will see it in the pictures though!!! Next year, I say we plan a meet around our birthdays! What do you say?? Hey, I'll be 21 :teeth: We can hit up Pleasure Island or Jellyrolls for some pina coladas :teeth: I really am procrastinating with the packing, but I am the same way, I am going to need some stuff so I figure I'll pack Wednesday and get the pedicure Thursday, then go to bed early! (If thats possible...)

Donna: Sorry I forgot about the picture! You guys are definitely going to see it in the trip pictures though!!!

2xcited, I'm glad the dinner was a success!! That dessert sounds awesome. I've been sick with some kind of stomach bug the last couple days, and I've been suffering from constant nausea. Now I'm starting to feel hungry! Oh well, hopefully I'll lose acouple pounds from this!! :3dglasses

Geesh, I wasn't done-------who hit that button???

As I was saying before I was so rudely interrupted (??spelling nazi--help me out here)----

MImom----feeling better is good!!
When I first read your post I smiled thinking that the highschool days are rough and notorious for the old TPing. Then, as I continued to read the smile turned faint---this is really sad. Those poor boys---not to have guidance--they probably don't know any better. Seems like they are acting out to get attention.
P.S. Everytime I see the picture of your kids in your siggie, I smile--because they all have such beautiful smiles!!

Hey Miss Pix---Maybe the difference between the lower paying job w/tuition reimbursement will balance out to the higher paying job?? I hope this works out for you!!
And you sound like me--always thinking of a song to go with a situation. I have a friend who is even worse that I am!!! I had someone ask me one time if a hum all the time. :lmao: :lmao: What can I say--- :rolleyes1 .
Oh and the Pointer Sisters did that song that you were singing to Ash, didn't they??
Good luck with your presentation and your exam. See ya when they are all over??
Awww, great news about going to WDW more often. Hard to believe Nick likes Disney coffee that much, though, because I have always heard it is not the greatest.?? Don't tell him that though and our lips are sealed. :rolleyes1

Donna---what do you mean?? I eat your food every single morning (or when I can during the day). And it is always perfection!!!! ;) ;) :thumbsup2 (real thumb)
My mom bought herself a bracelet--she's a jewelry junkie. It's funny--one of her good friends is a jeweler --they became friends over the past 30 years because my mom was such a good customer.:sad2: I, luckily did not inherit this vice. Less is more with me---simple earrings, simple necklace--that I wear all of the time.

Lyzziesmom---How was Lyzzie's birthday?? oops, a little ahead of myself--I just read. See below.
I'm glad she liked her cyber cake. I thought of her as I was trying to "choose" one---thought this one was very befitting.
What a great idea of putting her gifts in the Mickey bags!! You are so ingenious!! I am sure she had a lovely day getting her gifts throughout it. And tell her not to worry, many people share their b-days---just remember that it is hers and only hers in her family's eyes.
p.s. Target makes cakes?? I never knew this!! Where?? Where?? Why can't I picture this??
I know what you mean about the sieve. :sad2:

Okay Lesa---sounds like you need a couple of these :grouphug: :grouphug: and one more :grouphug: because you used seven of these :furious: in your post. I was reading and they kept yelling at my eyes. :teeth:
Kudos to you girl for putting up with all of this and yes, you deserved a good cry!!
:grouphug: one more.

Okay, I am pooped. I too must get sleep. I am a bit, let's just say, not too happy with Disney reservations right now but I am too wiped to talk about it right now. I may ask everyones' opinion tomorrow. I have to work early in the morning--still trying to get my weekends worked out. It would have normally been my Monday off but since I am switching weekends it is now my Monday on. Last time I checked I had only had three clients--yep, lots of fun twiddling my thumbs. :thumbsup2 (take this how you'd like)
Maybe, by some chance miracle, my books filled since Friday afternoon. I'm crossing my fingers.

Good night ---sleep tight.

Oops, I forgot to add that my niece made us all name tags to wear for the party. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hey YM--are you home yet??? :smooth:

2x, the cakes are at the SuperTarget in .... drum roll please.... THE BAKERY!!

Imagine that. Hunh. (I'm on number 4 of the Plum series by now!)

They are just regular ol' birthday cakes, white yellow or chocolate, tons of sugar-laden frosting (not fancy enough to call it 'icing') in colors that do not come in nature. If I'd thought to charge the camera batteries, I'd have some purple-tongued pics of the 3 of us. I could scrap a whole book on pics I've taken of our rainbow colored faces! The cake was so teeny tiny that it contained more frosting than actual cake, I think. Yummy but I must be gettin' old, because I had to make a gagging face and scrape most of the frosting off.

Lesa, I meant to tell you... you have as many good cries as you need girl!! I always tell my girls that if crying makes you feel better, than go ahead & cry it out. It really does work! I try to rarely say "don't cry" because that teaches them to hold it in and not express their feelings, but I sometimes do have to tell them to save the feeling for later and cry in private. It sounds a little odd, but it makes us all happier.

Wish I could take my own advice though... I can't remember the last time I cried. (While watching movies doesn't count.) I think I've forgotten how. I didn't cry when I found out my marriage was a sham, I didn't cry when my weight skyrocketed, I didn't cry when I invited all my friends to celebrate my annulment and nobody came. I didn't cry when my dad almost ruined our WDW trip and I now have to retrain my kids as to the rules of the 'real' world. I didn't cry when my grandmother died and I wasn't even asked if I'd like to go to the funeral. Heck, I didn't even cry when I broke my elbow on the first day of my vacation this spring. I did leak a little around the eyes during the xray, but hey that was torture!!

Now all put together like that, I do feel like I should be at least sniffling a little.

Ignore the above, that may just be the sleeping pills talking. They usually just say "goooo to sleeeeeep" but I think they are just having some fun with me tonight.

Anyway,

it may be a mite early for this but.... HOOT!! It's the latest I've been on in a while.

G'night. Again.

Good Morning...

sounds like everyone had an eventful weekend. I will catch up later.

I have to be at work even earlier this morning. Remember I said we were starting to offer breakfast? Well Barb [the lady I work with] and I are switching off weeks. She started it last week and this week it's my turn. Breakfast starts at 7:15.

Matt starts football today! The regular trainer has been on maternity leave and comes back today. I feel so much better knowing she will be there. She is a great lady and she really understands these kids. She plays woman's professional football, her team has won the championship I think twice. Plus she has had ACL issues and had to wear the brace so she can really help Matt.

Lesa...WOW, but if anyone can handle it and get what you paid for it will be you. I was going to call you this weekend too but it just got away from me. What does Maddie want for her birthday? I'll call you later.

Gotta finish getting ready. Have a great day everyone!!!

Good Morning All!!
I haven't had time to catch up on last nights' posts, must hurry and get breakfast on the table!!! I was quite busy cooking this morning!! :teeth: Hope this tides us over until lunch.
breakfast.jpg

Have a Magical Monday!!!

:moped: Ok!! Now I'm back from getting caught up from last night! Actually I was getting ready to post around 9:45pm when I hit a wrong button and the carefully prepared posts to each individual Cliqueless member(is that an oxymoron?) disappeared!!! Then, Nathan was standing behind my back, commenting on everything I was typing!!I hate that! Finally, I just gave up and shut down!! Oh, yes, he made a comment about why I have to end all of my sentences with an "!" mark. :rolleyes1 Gee, what a second grader!

Lesa:: So sorry to hear about your weekend. I do believe a meltdown was in order! Sending hugs :grouphug: and pixiedust: some pixie dust to improve your Monday!! I hope Madison gets to feeling better, poor thing. I hope the siding people do what they need to do and get out of there!! :thumbsup2

Ashley::What a cool "surprise" about your Mom and Dad coming to WDW for a while! Just remember, don't overact on the look of surprise!! :teeth:

lyzziesmom::I think Lyzzie had a great birthday. With 10 days at WDW she was probably too tired to have too much going on. I do believe you made her day very special. :goodvibes

2x2s:: My question last night was going to be what your Mom bought for herself. Weird thing, I was wondering if she bought herself a bracelet. I find that sometimes a necklace bugs me, but I almost always have a bracelet on. :teeth: Oh, and your "Gourmet Ding Dongs" sound like perfection. :goodvibes Hope your day at work is not too boring. Have a good one!! :sunny:

Precious Pixie::Did you order your Stephanie Plum Books from Amazon or Borders? I can't seem to find the second one.
And that is super news about Nick wanting to take a day trip, even if it is for the coffee. Disney fever works in mysterious ways.

MI mom of 3::Have fun at your early breakfast today. DS has eaten breakfast at his school twice this year. I have always told him to eat if he wants to, just let me know so I will know how much I owe!!
Sounds like your dear SIL had a rough weekend. :guilty: She definitely needs to be planning on that Feb. trip!! :thumbsup2

Well, I had better go. Thursday is my MIL's birthday, have to get these cards sent out so that they will get to Arizona in time!! Have a great day and talk to you all later!!

Just a quick good morning everyone :wave2:
Donna the breakfast looks superb as always. I hope everyone has a great day!

:sunny:

Hi and Bye kiddos---

I'm late to rush to work and sit. Fun. Fun.

See y'all later tootsies.

Donna----breakfast---what can I say girl?? Once again you knocked yourself out. I'm stuffed.

Hi MImom and Pr. Pix this morning.

And Lyzziesmom---first of all---good to see you're back to being a pirate: with your Target bakery comment. :lmao: But I don't think there is a bakery in ours. I can't picture it.
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: You made me cry!! We're here for ya!!

Have a good Monday---as good as it can be. ;)

Talk at ya later.

Ash---do you have suitcases big enough for all of us to fit?? :rolleyes1
