Donna----Thanks for letting us know you made it home from Six Flags safely. I hate to think your mom takes second fiddle to us, though.
Get some sleep, girl. All that coastering and screaming would have worn me out too. (wait--I take that back because I don't do them

) Hope DH is feeling better!!
YM---Yeah, I caught ya trying to pull the wool over my eyes. Camping---right.
I did feel a little guitly when I starting eating a Milky Way bar while all those fit people were laboring away...but all that clapping wore me out.
OMG-----I about choked on my dry puffed rice!!!!

(I know, sounds oh so appetizing, doesn't it??) I have this vision of you slyly trying to open your Milky Way wrapper and all the runners fumbling over each other because they can hear chocolate.
Yay for DH!!!!!!!!
MImom--I'm sorry you are still feeling icky and had to postpone your anniversary dinner. I'm sure you'll be feeling up to it by next weekend.
Oh my--- that had to be painful for that player!! I cannot imagine either!! I must agree with you about Matt playing but he would not have been very happy not playing, right??
Feel better!!
DznyFan---Thanks, I try to be as positive as I can. You guys always make me laugh and take my mind off of things. That and I have a wonderful family and some great friends!!
Sounds like you have a good lead on the house. Have you made a decision yet, or will you still continue your search??
Ouch, I can sympathize with Erin on her shoe woes. We too are expected to wear "fashionable" shoes and I tell you, my dogs are barking by the end of some days!! Tell her she may have to purchase a size bigger because when she stands on her feet all day her feet may swell.

to her!!
Okay, the menu is set for the B-day dinner. Here it is: Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Arugula with lemon vinagerette (Ina's recipe), roasted carrots, lemon broccoli (Giada's recipe), Orzo with tomato and spinach (Pin-cess' recipe) (yes, I will use frozen spinach---

), Italian bread (of course), chocolate molten cakes with vanilla gelato.
YUM YUM---but by the time I finish cooking I'm not sure I'll be hungry for it. My sister already hinted in a lovingly manner that she's not sure how much she'll be able to help since my 8 mo. old nephew is going through his "mommy" stage. Great. It will be fine though---she is doing a lot of the prep work.
Funny story about the Italian bread. My BIL and niece (almost 8) went to the Italian market this afternoon to get the bread and my sister said he comes home with two loaves that look more like French bread---still Italian but not our "traditional". He asks her if this is right and she tells him "no". Then he proceeds to tell her that my niece tried to tell him, "daddy, that's not the right kind" but he refused to listen to her. I bet he'll listen from now on--the girl knows what she's talking about.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I finally called GF bakery and ordered the Cindy slipper and dog bones for our tea. I am a bit nervous, though because I was transferred three times before anyone remotely knew what I was talking about. She wasn't the nicest person though, I hate to say, so I hope she got it correct. I am trusting.
