Who has had their last day of FP+ cancelled due to making FP+ from 4pm-6:30pm with a MNSSHP ticket?

It is strange, up to 6:30 was fine last year

This is what I found on the Disney website today regarding park entry time for MNSSHP...

https://disneyparksmomspanel.disney...ickeys-not-scary-halloween-party-time-344927/

Many years ago, when Disney first started MNSSHP, our family arrived at 6:45 pm. It was so jammed with people that we did not even enter the party until after 8:00! I love that Disney allows party goers entry at 4pm. It allows plenty of time for guests to get in, eat dinner, shop and maybe enjoy a ride or 2.:rolleyes1

They are taking people out of ride lines at 7pm even if they were in line prior to the start of the party? I doubt it.
Is that any different than closing time? I mean they don't take you out of the line when the clocks strikes closing...they allow you to stay in the line and ride it if you were in line up to closing time. If they need to they will put up a stop point and not allow anyone else to enter after the stop point.

The Disney Moms Panel isn't quite the official word though from Disney. I have seen plenty of incorrect comments from the moms on there.

The thing is they do represent Disney but it is the same way that CMs on the phone represent Disney. It doesn't mean their word is official or golden.

I'm not debating if it's right or wrong, I'm just stating I doubt they are actually kicking people out of line.

They actually don't even legally represent Disney. The about page has a disclaimer that says they are all independent contractors and nothing they say represents the Disney company.

I know I just realized that lol. I was about to edit my comment and say that I agree with you that I doubt they would take people out of line if they were already in it prior to the party start time but you quoted me first. Sorry about that part :o

That's good to know.

General public will say they represent Disney but it's good to know it's not in a legal sense but more of a PR sense.

Oh I get what you mean.

Well... Park is officially closing at 6pm now because of that. I guess if someone is IN the line or ride at 7pm they won't kick them out, but they won't kick them out on nights without parties also. But that's a full hour later. Wonder how that will work. If you don't have a party ticket you won't be allowed to get IN line at 6pm, but I guess if you're still on line before closing you are able to finish your ride.

EDITED: Oops! The 6pm closing is for MVMCP only.

No problem! :)

I actually don't really care about any of it - who can makes fast passes, when people can arrive, when should they leave... :)

I have hoppers for length of stay - I can come when I want and make my fast passes if I want to! ;)

Something that is coming back to me from 10 years ago is that when we had a regular park ticket and a party ticket they told us we could go get our wristband at 4pm.
So this has been the case for at least 10 years and it was something that was told directly to us while there... I'd say just more proof that Disney did in fact advertise the as early as 4pm timing.

Maybe they can kick non-party goers out of the line and park by 7! :p ;)
Last year we were there on Halloween & my daughter wasn't feeling very well so we were sitting on a bench in front, by the fire house area. The CM were amazing in their removal of a lot of people without party wristbands. I was astonished by the people that were arguing with the CM & refusing to leave, but eventually they were escorted out. It was also an eye opener to see the bags of "confiscated" items (ie weapons) that I presume people tried to bring in to go with their costumes but the CMs wouldn't let them.

I've got hoppers too. One day is MK in the morning on a party day. I specifically chose morning instead of trying to make that my afternoon/evening park.

But you had a valid theme park ticket also. One could say they did that to clear up congestion for the party guests coming in later with just party tickets.

I thought only the Christmas party was 6pm?

The Halloween party I believe is still until 7pm. I know with the Christmas party they are testing the 6pm close but allowing dining and shopping until 7pm.

Oh right. Ignore me. Sorry. I have MVMCP on my brain because that's what I'm doing and I think the FP update will affect those FPs too.

Oh yeah...that will be interesting if something like this happens with MVMCP especially with the 6pm close. You would think that they would treat that event the same way as MNSSHP if the issue comes down to # of tickets someone has vs # of days of FPs someone has.

I want to say what you did 10years ago was fine because you had basically 2 tickets for MK that day--one regular admission and one special event admission. If you're inside the park and you have both regular admission then you wouldn't have an issue with things. I think that's why people were discussing what ticket they would use to get inside the park-regular admission or an AP for example would def. be good to go for FP abilities.

Disney as far as I understand it is distinctly different than Universal in how they handle special events. As far as I understand it a person who has regular admission to Universal Studios on a HHN must exist the park and re-enter the park with their HHN ticket. And normal day guests are required to leave at 5pm (though I have heard they start making announcement at 4:45--it's been 6 years I can't remember if they did that back then or not) to help clear out the park. Then somewhere around 5:30-5:45 at times at least they have allowed HHN guests to enter part of the park area for the event before letting loose at 6pm when the party actually starts.

It's interesting the stark difference at least to me to compare the two.
