Which Port Orleans resort?

Definately Riverside (Dixie landings to me)!! The ambience is wonderful, the quiet pools relaxing, and the walk to the food court beautiful. I never felt that it was a bit too big, and you can always request to be closer to the main building. No question in my mind.

Helenk,
My DW and I stayed at POFQ last week for the first time and really enjoyed it. Actually, it is much smaller than Riverside, which is nice. The only drawback is the fact that POFQ does not have a sit down, full service restaurant; you must walk or take the boat to POR to dine at Boatwright's. Even though the POR is larger, the spa at POFQ is larger than the one up the river, so, if you are into relaxing in the spa at night, you might choose POFQ. We also stayed in the Alligator Bayou section of POR (when it was Dixie Landings) and we enjoyed that very much, also. The themeing at both is very nice.

But POFQ used to have a full service restaurant called Bonfamille's that was great! The breakfast buffet was wonderful and they served beignets at every table. When we stayed at POFQ last Sept. I really, really missed having Bonfamille's around for breakfast. The food court isn't bad at all but it is crowded in during the regular meal times. The food is pretty good. I really am not sure why they closed Bonfamille's but its gone!

We've stayed at POFQ twice and LOVE it! Same reasons... small, compact, no bus problems because POFQ loads and unloads first ALWAYS. The only problem with loading first is you have to sit through 3 stops at POR. Then most of the POR people have to stand because the bus is already full! The boat to DTD is great too!

I really can't find anything I don't like about POFQ except the closing of Bonfamille's. We haven't stayed at POR but have went over there. It seems really nice and we've always said we are going to stay there next. But, since we just joined DVC-- we are going to the Beach Club Villas next!!!

Have a great trip!
