Which has better desserts?

The resturaunt in Japan (Teppenyaki) or in China (Nine Dragons)? I have a real sweet tooth, and how good a meal is depends in very large part on how good the dessert is. That's probably why I love Coral Reef so much-the Chocolate Wave is excellent.

I don't think either place holds dessert as their forte. Nine Dragon offers Ginger IceCream or Red Bean Ice Cream - both of which are also offered at their counter-service location. Same as Teppanyaki. Other than Ginger Cake, their 2 noteworthy Ice Cream flavors are Green Tea and Ginger - both of which you still can get at Tempura Kiku, their counter-svc.

If you really want to try their dessert, why not order from counter-svc instead? The portion isn't too big. You can easily enjoy the desserts from both countries without getting too full at the end.

IMHO, if dessert is important to you, Teppanyaki and Nine Dragons are not the table service restaurants for you. Our favorites overall are Le Cellier, if you can get a resy , or Chefs de France. Both have excellent desserts!

Are you looking for the anniversary trip in your ticker? If so, Teppanyaki is out as it wil be closed for rehab. I haven't eaten at Nine Dragons yet

We ate at Nine Dragons a couple of weeks ago and I seem to remember a chocolate cake in addition to the ice cream but I have to agree that there are lots of other places, counter service included (sunshine seasons) that had WAY better desserts.
