When to book HIFS for 2004 vacation

We are looking to go to Disney 3/17/04-3/24 or 3/20-3/27 and planning to stay at HIFS since we had good luck there 2 yrs ago. My question is last time we had an agent book a package and this time I want to be a little more daring and do it myself. I called HIFS tonight and the entertainment rate is $102. Can I find a better rate at that time or should I just wait and get a little closer to the date? Thanks for any input!

Since the entertainment rates are limited, I would book the room and keep looking for a better deal. You can always call and modify your reservation.

That's a pretty good rate! Personally, I'd book the entertainment rate. If you were to get a better rate, you can call and change it, no problem. With HIFS, you don't have to pay anything down, although they'll take your credit card number. Have a great time!

Thanks for the info...will HIFS charge my credit card right away and if so is it easy to change if I find another rate? It didnt seem all too long ago that people were getting $80 something rates maybe it was off season when they were going. Any other info I would be glad to hear from you. Thanks

No, HIFS will not charge your card for a deposit. Plus you have until 6:00 on the day of arrival to cancel.

I think your Entertainment Rate is higher than what you are reading (for current summer/fall rates) because of the time of year you are traveling. I believe this would be considered "peak season".

Book the great rate, and if you find something else, you can easily change it

I think you are thinking of the nov to feb bogo. where you boy one night and get the second free. Then when you average the cost over 2 nights the rate was around $80. a night.

But your dates ARE PEAK Rates!! I would really try for the EB rate or if you have someone 50 or older going with you they qualify for the Senior Discounted rate.
