What's the farthest you've driven by car?

PA to Albuquerque several times. Love to drive out there.

PA to the Spacecoast of Florida too many times to remember.

We drove from Atlanta, Georgia to Fairbanks, Alaska (where hubby was stationed). It took us 8 full days of driving (from about 8:00am to 7:00 pm).

I THINK WE HAVE A WINNER!!!

Now that is some road trip!

Well--at least I had time to get all my wedding Thank-you notes done--hahaha.

I looked back at my journal--it was almost 5000 miles. We flew when it was time to move again!!!!!!

Orlando to Pittsburgh. We were at the parks during 9/11 and didn't know when we would be able to get a flight out and DH had to get back to work. That trip confirmed, no more driving trips to Florida for us. LOL

Ky to ST. Petersburg, FL..:D

the furthest i personally have driven was from dc to west palm beach florida....without stopping to sleep. :earseek:

i have been a passenger in a roadtrip around the whole country that took 3 months. :p

Not that far in comparison- I hate long car rides. As a kid we drove from San Jose, CA to Vancouver, B.C. for the World's Fair.

I might drive from Portland OR to Anaheim CA later this summer to go to Disneyland, but I would so much rather fly! Since we would be stopping in San Jose midway through, it won't be too bad.

We have taken about 7 long road trips since we've been married. Most of them a month long i nthe summer. We pull a camper and tour National Parks all over the country. Each of my kids has a Naitonal Park pass book with stamps from each park they've been to. They still use the park passbook even tho they are young adults now.

We usually do the West Coast or East Coast and maybe drive 4000 average per trip. DH loves to drive. I am not crazy about actually driving, but love to travel by car and navigate. DH keeps a log book in the van and he can tell you exactly how many miles we drove per trip.

We have seen so much of the country and camping is so affordable.

herc.

From my home in SE Ohio to WDW, took 2 days (stopped for the night in SC somewhere), about 15 hours total, and when we GOT there, DH got out of the car and swore he'd never do it again. He actually mentioned selling the car and flying home, I'm not sure that he wasn't serious. We did end up driving home, but won't drive it again!
