What's the farthest you've driven by car?

24+ hours, 1300+ miles( I think), from MA to WDW, then again back, 3 times now.
We really dont mind doing it, and the kids look forward to it. DS has repeatedly asked when we can drive again and not fly. ;)

Almost ten years ago (June 3-7, 1994), I drove from La Puente CA to Dedham MA, a total of 3,109.4 miles.... in five days.... by myself.
:scared1:

We've driven from Philly to Maine and back too many times to count, and then there's the few times we've driven from VA to Florida and back. 3 hours in the car is about all I can stand anymore.

On June 15th we will be leaving for our trek to Boise, ID. We are moving there and driving there in 2 days. 2 adults, 2 kids and 3 dogs, oh what fun! LOL! It's about 1250 miles.

OUR HONEYMOON:

We drove from Atlanta, Georgia to Fairbanks, Alaska (where hubby was stationed). It took us 8 full days of driving (from about 8:00am to 7:00 pm).

Don't even remember how many miles that is--but the strangest thing was when we got to the border of Canada and Montana--we weren't even halfway. Now that was weird. It doesn't seem like Alaska is THAT far away--but trust me--it is.

Now that's far!! Probably felt like going to another planet!!! :teeth:

Seattle to Houston twice (one way). Houston to PA about a dozen times (round trip).

From Daytona Beach, Fl. to the "tip" of Canada and back. My Dad used to drive NON STOP from Florida to Canada (of course, we'd stop for gas and food...but no sleep)!!

I think either from Chicago to Albany, NY or Chicago to Spartenburg, SC. I sure prefer to fly

NY to Orlando. I avoid the drive at all costs though--- if it's more than 1 day-- then we fly now.

Well I usually don't drive long distances by myself. The farthest I've driven would probably be one of my softball tournaments in upstate New York. It was a little over a 3 hour drive, I'm not sure how many miles though.

Back when I was much younger , many moons ago :

Twenty Nine Palms CA (east of San Bernadino ) to Dallas TX , nonstop. I seem to remember this was almost 24 hours straight driving.

We drove from Georgia to San Diego, California and then from San Diego to New York.

DC to Washington state. and then Washington state to S.C.

Neither trip was overly exciting. One trip was with a cat and a fish and the other was with a cat and a dog. Oh, and my brother.

Well in about 6 hours we'll be hitting the road from just North of Chicago down to Disney! We fly most of the time, but really wanted to do a road trip this time.
