:cheer2: Happy Birthday Liam!!!!:cheer2:

No cooking for me tonight once again, Luke and I are going to my parents.
I take my Mom grocery shopping every Friday then eat at their house while DH is working. Looking forward to the weekend and spending time with my DH!

TGIF,
Ann

Happy Birthday, Liam!

We are going out tonight. I was given a GC for staff appreciation week a few weeks ago that we're going to spend. It's for a couple of places, I'll see what DH wants.

Happy BirthdayLiam!!party: :bday: party:

Supper tonight will be the chicken I didn't end up cooking yesterday as we ended up grabbing pizza from a local joint after Karate.
I will pan sear it will herbs and serve with scalloped potatoes and green beans

Morning Y'all,

Gotta get myself in gear & get to the hair salon. I've missed the last couple of appts & the gray is uuugllly!

Laura, That soup dish looked spectacular!!!:thumbsup2

Jenny, That really stinks about Ed's job! Sounds illegal to me, but propably such a pain to fight that.

Aimee, Yeah it's the prep, that I hate! If I have to do it, I will ask about the pills instead of drinking all that gross stuff! But you know how docs are, it's their way or no way. Glad you had a good work meeting.

Becky, You're evening in the city sounds so nice!

Dinner tonight will probably be something I pick up from Whole Foods, it's right next to the salon.

Have a good day, y'all!

WFD tonight? Nothing yummy!

This is gross so only read if you want to!

Poor John had to go to the oral surgeon today because about a year ago he bit his tounge really badly. A little piece on the side did not heal--it was just kind of dead tissue. So, he had to have it cut off today. :scared1: So, now he has stitches in the side of his tounge, and the surgeon said he should only eat soft, room temperature food, and worst of all, no wine! (to help the wound clot).

So, dinner is something soft, at room temperature, and wine-free.

Ed Started a new job today..He was sort of fired from the last one because they kept writing him up for being sick..When he had the surgery to have the stent put in in Oct they told him he could not come back until he had a doctors note OKing it.. He came back with a doctors note like they told him to and he got a written warning anyway.. They wanted him to come back een though they *fired* him but he's done..It's rediculous to be written up for not being at work when you were ordered NOT to come to work.
Here's hoping this new job is good..It's very hard for him because it is inevitable that he has doctors appts..He tried very hard to schedile them for non-work times.

Good luck to Ed....employers like that make me so mad.

I'm trying to catch up with everyone, it seems like I finally have some time to DIS.:surfweb: Kyle's car was towed to the body shop this morning it'll take about 2 weeks to fix. We'll pick up the rental car tomorrow.

My temporary employee is working out great and I'm getting quite a few resumes already, so that's a good thing.

I'm going to go to Kyle's game this afternoon and relax, after that we'll pick up some take-out food and come home and have some wine.:yay:

:bday: :dancer:pixiedust: Happy Birthday Liam!!!!!:dancer: :cake::dancer::bday:

Becky- I agree with BriarMom have one extra for your DH. In all seriousness, any surgery in the mouth is awful so I hope the pain goes away soon.

Kathy- About time things seem to go your way. Enjoy the game this evening!

Ann- what a nice trade, dinner at Mom's for a shopping trip :thumbsup2

Rachel- popcorn chicken salad? That sounds like the best of both worlds to me.

Jenny- I would be irritated too but for Ed's sake, it is probably best that he starts fresh somewhere else. A company that would treat an employee like that sounds like one where he would be miserable if he stayed

Dinner is still up in the air. I am not doing well with the two trips to my Aunt in one day. I am also annoyed that my cousin did minimal shopping for her and we are not allowed to shop without her prior approval. I am going to stop there because I am trying to keep it clean here. Gail and I are bringing her food and making sure that she has plenty, we would do that anyway, but it irks me that we have to do this in order to make sure that she has some pleasure in her meals. This lady used to cook for a group of executives in a large company and she loves her food, but lately she has gotten quirky about what she will eat. It seems to me that a 95 year old lady should be able to eat whatever she wants. She also never was stingy on the quality of ingredients and now this is an issue with the "Queen" as we lovingly call her

Just because I am a witch today, I will admit that when my Aunt tells me that the Queen cannot cook I make sure that I agree. I know that she tells her that she likes my sister and my food better and this annoys the dickens out of her :dance3:, but honestly she cooks with cheap stuff and then she itemizes it so that she gets the amount of servings out of it that she wants. Not really a problem, no seasoning, not butter or cream (the mini chef would :snooty: at it) and looks like canned food to boot.

Hello all! Not sure WFD tonight. My sis and I are meeting my mom for a women's thing at church; last time we went they had a wonderful buffet--not so sure tonight. Might make some mac and cheese for Scott and the kids; but I'll talk to him first to see what he's in the mood for.

Happy Birthday Liam! I hope you have a wonderful day and really enjoy that Wii!!!!

Dinner tonight was Fillet-O-Fish from McDonald's. And a glass of wine. Two trips to my Aunts and trying to listen to her latest food issue is making me nuts. I love fast food.

You like those, don't you? I've never had one. Fish at Mickey D's scares me. Actually, fish at any fast food place scares me. I eat the chicken at Long John Silvers :rotfl:

I should try them...

I'm a fast food addict, too. Just ask my pant size that has gone up in a month due to all the fast food we've been eating.

Tonight we're doing On the Border, it was decided. They have AYCE enchiladas for $9, right up DH's alley, and since the card is just $25 I want to come as close to that as possible!

Yum - fillet-o-fish! Last weekend we tried the fish sandwich from Wendy's and it was very good. It may be my new favorite. (Hold the tartar sauce for me, though.)

I really do like them. My problem is that I really like fast food and if I eat it I want it to taste like fast food. Once I start though it is like the "Neverending Story" and I keep going. I really should be afraid of any fast food but......

Have fun at OTB tonight!

I had that one last week too! I still like McDonald's better. I also love Friendly's Fishamajig which is the same as I remember when I was a kid. Now if I am feeling flush I hit Red Robin for their fish sandwich. O YUMMM! Now do you see why I like Lent? Fast food fish all I want every Friday :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Y'all are killing me with your fast food fish stories!! We had a great afternoon and evening. Kyle pitched a great game and after the game we went with a group of other parents to a local seafood restaurant and had an awesome meal....Chargrilled oysters and fried softshell crabs topped with a crabmeat sauce. Some other folks got "Da Kajun Boat" it was an eggplant pirogue golden fried topped with shrimp and crabmeat in a cream sauce. It looked amazing! Now I'm having yet another glass of wine and watching the Food Network!:goodvibes

Umm...is this tomorrow's menu too? If so, I suddenly have other urgent plans.

Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes for Liam! It was a crazy day here trying to pull everything together, but in the end, it all worked out. The Wii arrived; Liam was very excited, and I managed to get it set up before Liam's friends from the neighborhood came. I think he had a great day.

Dinner tonight was take-out pizza.

Sorry I missed today. I was so busy getting ready for the little, casual, neighborhood birthday party I had for him.

Congrats to Kyle. :cheer2:

What a great dinner you had! My mouth is watering!!! :hyper:

I really want to like those, but I get grossed out by the legs and eating through the shell. I've tried it once, mostly pushed it around the plate, and haven't tried it again.

I love crab, though.
