What were the webcast incentives?

I'm just curious if anyone attended yesterday's webcast and would like to share the goods. Hopefully, everyone got *stellar* deals on their new purchases!

160-199pts = $96
200-269pts = $94
270-319pts = $92
320-499pts = $91
500+ = $89

Makes me wish we'd waited. We bought 200 points to start last month with the intention of adding more in a year or two. With that incentive, we would have gone for the full 500.

Ah well, another day, another incentive. Maybe we'll get a better deal in a year or two.

Makes me MAD I only bought my 350 BLT contract a month ago.

Can you please tell me the incentive for 200+ points at BLT was then. Was it $14 off of $112 per point? I can't remember. Thank you.

It is my understanding that the Webcast was only open to brand new members joining, by invitation only - not existing members making an additional purchase.

That is similar to the extra incentives that offered on the Disney Cruise Line and also at the Chicago Doorway to Dreams. They are limited offers, geared to a specific market or group - not a general discount available to everyone.

Whether or not we agree with it, I am sure the folks who fall into these "special" categories are thrilled...

I just spoke to my guide about adding on at BLT before the incentives end on June 15th (she confirmed). She said that she has been getting calls from others asking to switch their incentive and she said unless they attend a webcast and have a special code they can not get the incentives. I told her I was scheduled for the webcast on Saturday and she pulled it up and said "yes, there you are". So they do have a list of folks who signed up for it. She told me the webcast incentives would not help me for only adding on 100 points because the current incentive is the same, but I'll do the webcast any way in case I win a prize.

Not so! All BLT contracts come with 2009 points. What they were talking about in the webcast was with a Feb. UY. If you have ones in the fall, you will get your 2009 points in the fall.

I was worried about the webcast because we did not know about it and when I called last week to be included I could not get it.....so this weekend we bought 210 points for AKV and I got the points for $94 because of the already $10 discount and then being referred was another $8. We also received 210-- 2008 points for purchasing. So I feel good now about putting my paperwork back in the mail this morning. They were fast...contract negotiated on Saturday, paperwork arrived Tuesday, notorized Wednesday and back to Disney today. Can you tell I am excited!!!

I am an existing member, got the email, signed up for the webcast and had a voicemail from my Guide saying she saw I was signed up and how fun it's going to be. This makes no sense to me if the incentives being offered are for first-time buyers only. Doesn't mean I won't tune in on Saturday morning just to see what it's all about though.

Were there giveaways during the webcast too? And are they available only for new members as well?

The webcast content was certainly geared for 1st time buyers, I don't think the incentives were just for first time buyers. I think anyone watching the webcast wanting 160 points or more could get the special prices.

I'm watching the webcast right now. It is geared toward new members, but I asked my guide if I can use the webcast incentives. She is writing up a contract for 320 points right now with August use year. She told me I just need to login and watch the webcast and I can qualify for the incentive. They will have the information that I watched the webcast because of the registration. Now, I'm just waiting for the contract. Hope it works out.

For current members your add-on contract (or perhaps it needs to be written up as a new contract ?) would have to be 200 points or more to realize any additional savings. Presently members non-webcast incentive is $16 off per point if they add-on at 125 or more points.

My server crashed before I got done with the webcast. I got as far as points and incentives and did see the 3 prizes give aways. Since I'm already a member there was no big savings for me so I added on 100 points yesterday. I wasn't one of the prize winners. By the time I got back on the webcast they were doing the member memories.
