I just watched that old robin hood movie on "VHS", yes VHS, and I was wondering if there is a ride in Disneyland or Disney World that has the characters in it. If there is no ride with them in it, WHY isn't there a ride with them in it?????

Robin Hood is a classic.

Robin Hood's target shoot 'ums is just down the way from the aristocat's music show, across the avenue from the rescuer's water plume. You'll want to park your stroller in the 101 dalmations ride parking space, however. You want have to worry about fast passes, because ever since Mowgli's jungle bash opened it has been slow around that corner. Have fun. Oh, and Lady and the Tramp said Tony's meatballs really aren't that great anymore.

Unfortunately, there are currently no attractions themed with Disney's Robin Hood. I don't even know if they have character meet and greets for Robin Hood. However, I know a few characters have shown up in parades.

You know you have some great ideas here.... Too bad you are not designing the new Fantasyland- these actually make a whole lot more sense than just making a "princess world." I wish they would concentrate more on the "classics" versus whatever the latest Pixar movie in and the everincreasing takeover of Princesses...

Point was there are LOTS of classic Disney movies that aren't in the parks. And as far as YOUR question, you could easily have checked the maps on the Disney website and saw there are no such attractions. Disney is a money machine, most kids haven't even seen the "classics". As a matter of fact I can't count the times I've heard adults AND kids either not have a clue who a character is or call them the wrong name. Forgotten classics aren't money makers. There really isn't room to put a ride in for every movie ever made, just because you happen to think Robin Hood deserves a ride doesn't mean the majority does.

good one d-r

I do think Robin Hood's a pretty good one, but there's just not enough room for it even in Disney World. Kids love Pixar, Pirates and Princess. Besides there are other old classics that people would rather see instead.

Pinocchio, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland etc

Watch your language, nelson, lest you end up with points. :rolleyes1

It's actually a reasonable question that you asked this time, but I find it more than a little ironic that you would react to someone's humorous post by name-calling.

Watch your language, nelson, lest you end up with points. :rolleyes1 Everyone is generally (sort of) amused by your random, time-wasting threads on the budget and resort boards, but the theme parks board may not be as generous. If you're looking to stir the pot again, you picked the wrong board.

Time to look for a day job.

You find it ironic that he resorts to name calling? I call it par for the course.

I loved d-r's post - reminded me of Disney movies I hadn't thought of in quite a while.

No, I found it ironic that nelson would be offended by someone else responding humorously to his post, considering most of nelson's post are a bit unusual to begin with.

I edited my post about the same time you quoted it, thinking I was being too harsh to ol' nelson. I thought d-r's post was hilarious, and I would have thought the same had it been in response to a question I asked. :goodvibes

It sounds like there is some history between posters here but considering the first response to what I assume was a legitimate question by the OP I didn't think OP's response was overly harsh. Besides, I'm assuming if d-r can dish it he/she can also take it.

OT: how do you know how many "points" you have and how many can you get before the plug is pulled. I'm assuming this info is in one of the stickies perhaps?

Since learning of the plan to close the Snow White ride, DH has sad that would be the perfect place to out a Robin Hood ride. Would hardly need any retheming. Wouldn't cost too much. Anything would be better than a princess meet and greet. Thank goodness I have boys!

Robin Hood is one of my favorites, it's too bad that it's not in the parks!

I've seen pics where people have met Robin Hood characters though... talk about jealousy.

There is the Friar's Nook in Fantasyland that serves homemade potato chips. Now that none of them are seen for meet and greets, thats the only Robin Hoob presence in the parks. Sheriff of Nottingham is in the Boo to You Parade at MNSSHP too.

...but you bit.

Didn't know this thread was getting re-themed to a Princess meet-n-greet

Can nothing escape the wrath of the Princesses? ;)
