What ride has the robin hood characters???

robin hood's target shoot 'ums is just down the way from the aristocat's music show, across the avenue from the rescuer's water plume. You'll want to park your stroller in the 101 dalmations ride parking space, however. You want have to worry about fast passes, because ever since mowgli's jungle bash opened it has been slow around that corner

you know you have some great ideas here.... Too bad you are not designing the new fantasyland- these actually make a whole lot more sense than just making a "princess world." i wish they would concentrate more on the "classics" versus whatever the latest pixar movie in and the everincreasing takeover of princesses...

When I was in Jr High I wrote to Disney and complained about the lack of Robin Hood merchandise. They wrote back and told me they would forward my request on to the merch. dept., and included an oversized postcard with a scene with Robin Hood, Little John, the Sheriff, Prince John, and Sir Hiss on it.

David Koenig's book "Mouse Under Glass: Secrets Of Disney Animation And Theme Parks" addresses the reason why there's no Robin Hood ride.

It was during the development of a never-built Robin Hood dark ride that (Imagineer) Tony Baxter realized not only what makes a good attraction but more specifically what makes a bad one: "Whether it's a good movie or not is beside the point. It's a movie that's characters, there's no atmosphere in it. I call it 'sticks and stones and rocks and leaves'. First you have the stone walls outside the castle, then the stone walls inside the castle, then the leaves in the forest, that's it. There are no exotic environments, you just have all these scenes with Robin meeting Friar Tuck, then Robin meeting Little John, then Robin meeting Maid Marian. That's when I figured it out: rides are about exotic places not characters. The best attractions are where you suddenly find yourself in a jewel mine or flying over London."
