I *know* this probably has been asked many times before, but things are a bit slow and I think it's always interesting to see what people do for a living! Plus, new people are popping up all the time!

So, what do you do? Do you enjoy it? Was it your first pick, or are you on a second (or third) career? What kind of education or training do you have to have?

=)

Me: I currently work PT retail (Bath and Body works) and am a FT seminary student. I am working to be a Minister to Children and/or Family. I have served in this capacity before, but had to resign when we moved so I could attend seminary... right now I just do volunteer ministry work, and also work as a Bible study curriculum writer for preschoolers through a major publishing company - just on the side.

I have NO idea where we will be in 2 years, I will look for open positions anywhere in the U.S. upon graduation... possibility on the East Coast area... (where more opps seem to be) I'll graduate in Dec 05. This degree is 96 hours.

Each church sets their own criteria regarding how much education and training they want in their ministers... in order for me to serve the type of church that I want to be at, I need the masters degree from a seminary. I *love* my courses and time here, but I am anxious to start working FT in my field! Can't wait!

I am a physical therapist. I have worked in a hospital, in a private practice, and in nursing homes. I am currently doing home health care. I have a BS in physical therapy.

I am a Dental Hygienist and a Registered Nurse. I got my BSN first from Duke University School of Nursing. I knew when I was in nursing school that this just wasn't the profession for me but I couldn't just quit. Well, I started working in a hospital on the Orthopedics floor, this lasted exactly one month. I started Hygiene School at the Medical College of GA and have never looked back! I earned my BSDH. I LOOOVE being a Hygienist! I look forward to going to work everyday!

I also have a very high regard for nurses because I know how hard it is.::yes:: :wave2:

Financial planner. I am a Cerified Financial Planner, my profession since '76.

A paragraph from my web site.......

...."My primary focus is helping companies establish and service qualified retirement plans for their valued employees. After assisting business owners and executives with programs for their employees, I often work with them individually to design and execute strategies that can help them meet their long-term financial objectives."....

I enjoy helping people.

I'm an actor. Have been one for over ten years, but when the biz is slow - I am a word processor in a large New York City law firm.

I retired from a real job 18 1/2 years ago at the age of 43. I have been a professional boxing judge since 1979 and that is all I do now. I just returned from Indy where I judged some bouts tonight. On May 20, I will be in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to judge some fights that will televised on Showtime. Last week (April 30) I judged a show on ESPN 2 from Hammond, IN.

I'm a primary school teacher in England where this year I teach 7-8 year olds. To teach in England you need a graduate degree and a teaching certificate. I have a BA(hons) in Music and a Post Graduate Teaching Certificate (That needs 4 years at university in all). I also have an advanced certificate in education management and am working towards my masters degree.
And yes I love my job. I decided aged 8 that I wanted to go to university to study music and wanted to be a teacher. I origionally wanted to teach music to 11-18 year olds but changed my mind during my degree and decided to train to teach 7-11 year olds instead. Now my specialism is ICT but I have to teach every subject.
