What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Veggie burgers all the way! Yesterday we had some from misfits market—really tasty and convenient. And today, we’re going all in with a homemade meal since everyone actually has a bit more time on their hands. I just love those evenings when the whole family gets together in the kitchen, chopping, stirring, laughing—there’s something so special about it. It’s not just about the food, it’s the time shared, the little stories told, and the joy of creating something together. Definitely one of my favorite parts of the week.

Yesterday, I was so tired after a five hour field day extravaganza with my special Ed students, I didn’t even want to eat, let alone cook. We ordered heros from the deli. Chicken parm and Italian.
Tonight, I made chicken & broccoli Alfredo and garlic bread. I bought all the stuff for a salad and then totally forgot to make one. 😂

Warning @team bradfield, look the other way. :p DH & I shared Asian raw oysters, raw middleneck clams & Spicy Ahi Tuna Salad. The salad was so good a couple nights ago that we returned to the same restaurant for a repeat. I'm going to attempt to make it next week at home.
Clams need sauteed in butter and wine, but I respect your choices, I have had raw salmon and tuna, ok, but it's oysters that gross me out

I’m winding down what’s in our fridge, as we leave next week for my husband’s stomping grounds. (Gulf Shores). We have our Grandson tonight & tomorrow. I’m working for a friend, so I think hubby will make pasta 🍝. Something easy with leftovers.

Back from WDW and the fridge is empty so raided the freezer and found some goodies to defrost for a few days worth of meals.
Tonight it was hot and sour soup and all I had to do was add the tofu (don’t like the taste of frozen tofu).
I’ll fill in what I ate on vacation later when I’ve more time.

Day 1 of vacation and we have already eaten way too much!

For lunch I had tuna tartar, ceviche, lobster, and coconut cream puff

For dinner I had a crab cake, lobster bisque, grilled branzino with spinach, and key lime pie.

I was so full I couldn’t have a post dinner drink 😂
