What is the funniest "not quite right" name for an attraction you have heard?

My Disney Granddaughter insists that she's never going back on the "Tower of Torture."

TTA will always be The WEDway People Mover. My pet peeve is people who say 'I'm going to Disney' or Disney World. Roy named the resorts Walt Disney World in honour of Walt. Please use his name and yes, people who don't know the difference between WDW and Disneyland.

The Magic Kingdom was always the Magic Kingdom which was INSIDE Walt Disney World. MK was never Disney World.

I still call it the "wedway" too.

and my brother did the same as your son - he called it "epicot" or "epricot"for the longest time, just like apricot. so much so that we still call it "epicot" amongst ourselves. People probably think we're dense.

My friend always referred to EPCOT as "apricot, or Epemcot" Wich drove me NUTS but now that we are older I think its funny to call it that.

We call TTA the People mover still!

My mom and I and my family referr to captain cooks at The polynesian as Capt Jacks (jack sparrow!) but now it's confusing cuz of Captain Jacks at DTD.

One of my all time favorites was from a guy in the Magic Kingdom who was telling his family that they were not leaving until he got to see the "Dancing Bear Jubilee" show!!!!

The best she has come up with was sitting in the front row at FOTLK and LOUDLY singing her version of Akuna matata. "It's our problem free colonoscopy". The preformers actually started laughing in mid song.

That is absolutely hilarious!!:rotfl2:
Now that's what I'll be singing everytime I hear that song from now on.

And guess I know what we're ALL going to be thinking about on our next visit to Monsters, Inc.?????

I know the diference between WDW and DL but I usually call WDW disneyworld. Say Walt Disney World can be a mouthful but I do know thats the official name:thumbsup2

On another board I saw a reference to "Mothership Earth".

We have been know to call O'hanas "Yo'Mommas". Today my DD9 referred to Illuminations as "Illustrations".

When in Toontown a two years ago, I heard a dad say to his family, "let's go on the log flume next."

I wanted SO BAD to take a snotty tone and ask, "log flume? LOG FLUME?? Do you mean Splash Mountain??"

My FIL and MIL both called Test Track "Fast Track" repeatedly. My wife also constantly refers to AK as "Animal Planet". Sad thing is she is on these boards constantly, plans our trips obsessively, and really should know better :)

My brother refers to the green side as Mission Space, but the orange side as Mission Death, and I am not really sure if he is wrong on that one...

I just realized I have been calling Expedition Everest, Mount Everest. That is funny. I think I have even posted a few things calling it Mt Everest. Someone in our party called it Saint Everest and I quickly corrected her by saying "it's Mount Everest." funny stuff.

We are another one that calls Spaceship Earth "The Big Ball"!

We used to call Soarin' "The Magic Carpet Ride" - my 4-yr-old was a little afraid of it so we told her to imagine it was like riding a magic carpet. That worked - but then we had to call it the Magic Carpet Ride for a while. (She knows it's called Soarin now)

My mother used to call Epcot "Epcot City". This was back when Epcot opened and I guess she heard what E.P.C.O.T. stood for. Somehow got "city" stuck in her head - I could never get her to change. She always called it "Epcot City".

Our DS4 calls haunted mansion the spooky house.:lmao:
and Test Track- fast cars
Pirates of Caribbean- pirate ride
Indy Speedway-race cars
My DW catches her self saying Fast track instead of Test Track :lmao:
My DD calls EE- Mt. Everest or the yeti

I've posted this before, but it never fails to make me laugh. My mom called the Carousel of Progress the......Wheel of Continuum. I laugh and laugh and laugh EVERY time I think about it.

I guess the use of his initials are acceptable.

Oh my gosh! The Great Big Bass?? :lmao:Though I have always wondered why they dont put a dolphin on the top, hence the name of the hotel:confused3

I read someplace that the "fish" depicted on the top of the resort IS actually a dolphin. The animal that we commonly call a dolphin is actually a porpoise. I was never able to determine why or how it got to be that way, but that is the story.

DD's friend calls Big Thunder Mountain "Hubba, Bubba Whirlwind". It has stuck with us so if you ever hear someone laughing and calling it by that name you will know who we are.
