When we were there in Sept, unfortunately we were later arriving than we expected. We wanted to be in the front of the rope drop crowd. Instead, we were 100 yards away from the rope when it dropped. Most of the people in the park went to EE and the line got very long, very early. We had planned on picking up FPs and then riding. Instead we picked up the FPs and went back to Dinoland for Dinousaur and Primeval Whirl. Both of these were walk-ons.
My advice would be dependant upon where in the crowd you are. If you are in the front of the crowd, the line will be very manageable. If not, get the FPs and enjoy Dinoland with no crowd . . . hit EE later with the FPs. We rode Dinosaur once and Primeval Whirl twice. Then, I went back to EE and got another set of FPs. So, it was 9:40 . . . we were done with Dinoland (except for Triceratop Spin) and we had two sets of EE FPs.
