That makes you enjoy it so much?

The food?shopping?shows?

I have seen pretty much all of the movies that are shown in the pavillions and they are not what makes me go back.....Seen 'em once, enough.

I personally love all the outdoor shows and how different every pavillions are. Itreally does feel like a trip around the world each time I go.

How about you?

To me, it is so calm and relaxed. I love shopping in the stores (especially in Germany, England, and the department store in Japan), and eating at the different countries.

I love the walk, live entertainment and meeting the CM's along the way, many love to talk about home! I also like to sample a bit of food and drink esp at F&W festival.

I love the "feel" and relaxation of wandering through the world showcase. I can have Japanese take out and my mom can have a hamburger in the American Adventure while listening to the Candlelight Processional. Not many places can you do that.

The live entertainment (even though it is less and less) as well as just listening to people from all over the world enjoy themselves or share the magic.

My fondest memories are... DS asleep in the stroller...10pm...gorgeous FL night in Feb (remember it's -20 back home)...strolling around with DH drinking a fabulous coffee from Morrocco and exploring the nooks and crannies of WS knowing we are in the greatest place on earth with the people I love most.

OK - mushy I know, but WS has a special place in my heart.

Epcot just flat out rules! My most favorite time there was just two weeks ago. It was our first trip to Epcot. We were walking through the United Kingdom at about 7:00PM when I heard that undeniable first chord from the Beatles' Hard Day's Night. I told my wife, "We are going this way". We walked toward the back of the United Kingdom showcase and the British Invasion were beginning an eight song set. They were phenomenal! Even my DD5, DD4 and DS2 loved it and they don't care much for rock n' roll.

I'm trying to remember what songs they played. I can remember Hard Day's Night, Dizzy Miss Lizzy, Tax Man. They finished with Imagine. This was requested by a couple in their sixties and you could tell that this couple absolutely loved it.

I hope they are at Epcot the next time I return. I want to catch more than just one set the next time.

BIll from PA has been touring World Showcase right next to me all these years and I never realized it. :) Yes, it's beers around the world along with the entertainment in each country.

The shopping is nice and the food great but what I really love is being able to feel like I'm in Venice one minute and Marrakech a little while later. Italy, Japan and Morocco are my favorites. I could hang out in just those three pavillions for an entire day.

Just everything about it, the different cultures, the shopping, the food and the Champagne in France!!!

The whole international atmosphere of the countries, the live entertainment, talking to the CM's about their homes - just everything!! We love World Showcase!

Same here, it's just a nice relaxing time. :goodvibes

You'll probably all hate me for saying it, BUT, England is just so unrealistic that it puts us off visiting the world showcase.

We didn't go to Epcot on our last 2 trips (i enjoy it but DW finds it a bit boring) but i am going to insist on going next time as i want to try Soaring and MS.

Drinking round the world!

Seriously, yes, we do beverage around the WS, but we also like the food, talking to the different CM's, snacking here and there, shopping for neat stuff.

It's a nice relaxing afternoon for us. And sometimes, we even learn something. ;)

ujpest_doza,

Since the Rose&Crown and its surroundings are among my favorite places in all of WDW, I'm interested in your opinions on the 'realism' factor. Every trip we strike up conversations with numerous natives of the British Isles and one thing I always ask is if the R&C is representative of a pub in a major city there. The answer has been 'yes' with the exception of a Scottish gent who said in Scotland the typical local pub was likely to be a smoke filled hole in the wall. What's your take on this question and what's 'unreal' about the rest of the area, other than the fact that we'd not likely find the different styles of buildings clustered together?

Thanks,
Bill From PA

For me it feels like I'm 10 again... going to epcot for the first time. Maybe I was younger.. it was the year after it opened. Anyway childhood memories. My dad who is gone now loved it. I loved going as a family and not really "getting it" at that age but enjoying it nonetheless.

Now I "get it" and see things as my dad likely saw them (we're so much alike). I love the foods, the people are so fun to talk to. The entertainment is great... back to the foods.. face it it's the best place in the World to find unique yummy authentic food! I love finding secret secluded little nooks and crannies to relax. I love taking my time and not having as many pushy people and screaming children surrounding me... no lines to really enjoy all it has to offer. When characters appear there is less likely to be a mob such as the other parks and I don't feel like I"m taking time away from children by having my photos taken by them.

The atmosphere is not comparable to any theme park I've ever been to.. there's nothing like it. Ugh now I want to go back!

I'm also curious to hear why england is so disappointing? I love it. I think it's beautiful and really.. none of the lands are EXACT matches of the land they represent. They are a sampling of the building styles and cultures. I never looked at them as exact replications?

To me, Epcot feels a little like traveling around the world - a taste of places I hope to see "for real" at some time in the future. We also love most of the restaurants.
