What if your side loses?

If we lose I'll pray that McCain will be the Commander in Chief I know he could be, returning to his "maverick" roots and leaving behind the party politics he's played the last 8 years.

Frankly, I worry if the Dems lose. Will there be rioting in the streets?

Wow, thats insulting. The ONLY person I've heard promoting that idea is Limbaugh. Why would you possibly think the Democrats are more likely to riot than the Republicans? Why now as opposed to following the last 2 elections?

I'd be disappointed; wouldn't anyone, if their side didn't win? But life would continue on for me.

If my side loses I'll pray for BHO, and wish him the very best. Honestly, I will give him a chance. The practical side of me tells me that it could lead to a terrorist attack. I am certain that his policies will take away all my extra money. I will be very sad because the quality of health care in this nation will be horrendous. Many many people will be dying for lack of health care available for chronic illnesses. The gains we have made fighting cancer over the past generation will be for naught. Dictators all around the world can't wait to test him. Liberal social values will become the norm. Faith-based and other NPOs will struggle to serve the growing number of victims of the ever-expanding nanny state. Business and society will suffer because there will no longer be any incentive to acheive; growing masses will wait to receive all that the government will give them. Prices for groceries and other necessities will skyrocket because of the smothering taxes to be leveled on manufacturers and producers, which all of us should know are passed straight on to consumers. It won't be the end of the world, but it's going to be hell on earth.

If my side wins, I fear that the losing side may make even greater steps to tear America apart than it did when it lost the last two elections. The whining, threats, and hate in the aftermath of 2000 and 2004 was shocking. Not that I would make that call, but I wonder if rioting in the streets would be a far-fetched idea.

Honestly, I'm already budgeting for the extra $$$ that would come out of my paycheck if the Bush taxcuts aren't made permanent. I'd also be very nervous about coming to work for a while. I work about 3 blocks from the White House and I firmly believe that we will be attacked again in the first 6-12 months of an Obama presidency.

If that happens it will be because Bush has done nothing to make us safer. Containers coming into this country are not inspected, airline security is a joke, trains aren't protected, neither is our water supply. There are so many things that could have been done in the last 7 years to make us safer, instead Bush has spent trillons of dollars in Iraq.

As a Republican, I will support the President because I think anyone in that office deserves respect even if I disagree with them. I will continue to fight for what I believe and work to get candidates whose views I support into office.

I know many Democrats hate George Bush, but you have to understand that many Republicans felt the same way about Bill Clinton. I didn't agree with much of what President Clinton stood for, but I respected him because my fellow countryman chose him to be the leader of our country. I will do the same if Barack Obama is elected.

Our country was set up with checks and balances for a reason. I don't believe that any side will ever have too much power. That's what makes America great, and why I consider myself an American first and a Republican second.

Well, let's clarify. It's Bush's fault that Osama bin Laden is walking around a free man. It's Bush's fault that the Taliban is still killing our boys in Afghanistan. It's Bush's fault for creating anti-American animosity in the Middle East because of the tens of thousands of Iraqis killed since the start of the war in Iraq.
