What have you won?

When I was a kid (not long ago) and Spongebob was at its height in popularity, Nickelodeon ran a contest. I think the grand prize was a trip for 4 to Hawaii. They had like 125 first prize winners that won some stuff, and 250 second prize winners that won less stuff. I was really into this and asked my dad if I could enter (because I was 10 and needed parental permission). We fill it out and hear nothing back.

And then the biggest box filled with Spongebob merchandise shows up at my front door. Guess who was one of the first price winners? This kid! I still have the massive pillow that came with the other merch.

Does getting a free churro at Disney count as winning something? :p

My sorority chapter has a "super senior prize" every week - a senior is randomly drawn to win a super senior prize. Last semester, the chapter president asked if there was any other business that needed to be discussed and I blurted out "superseniorprize" and my name got drawn. It's like I knew. I got a cup out of it, so I really can't complain.

£65 on the lottery. Gave up after that; figured that my luck had peaked.

When I was younger, I won tickets to see the Jacksons in Chicago, airfare, hotel, meals etc. I later won another set of tickets to see Michael in concert, but couldn't go so passed them to someone else. I won $100 Bath and Body Works gift card online a few years ago. Since then,,nothing..lol

I haven't won much of anything. I won a basketball at a Halloween costume contest as a kid.

Now, my mother-in-law, she wins tons of stuff (for her as well as other members of her family whose names she's entered). I won a $50 coupon for Macy's once because of her. And our daughter won all sorts of toys when grandma entered her name in various contests. Our youngest won a large (4') plush rabbit once courtesy of grandma. DH got $50 in a car dealership contest (again = his mom).

I win small things like door prizes all the time. Some of the larger things I've won include a Blu ray player and speakers, a week in a condo, a children's museum membership, and a Kitchenaid mixer. I just can't seem to break the size barrier and win a Disney trip, a car, or a house though!

I am the queen of the cakewalk. Ever since I was a kid, any time I enter a cakewalk, I'm a winner. Sadly, that is the only thing I ever win. Good thing I enjoy a nice cake or two. :yay:

Let's see
As a kid, I won the contest for reading the most books in our area during a Read-A-Thon for MS. Picture in the paper and everything. Got to go to the big banquet, where we got to meet David Thompson (Denver Nugget) and Lyle Alzado (Denver Bronco--and my hero back then).

I've won small drawings here and there, but the biggest win was when we were in Reno for our honeymoon. I won enough on slots to pay for the hotel, car rental, gas, all food/drinks, shopping and came home with $500 in my pocket. I would play the slots until I had $50 or so in winnings, then pull it out. The slots that I liked to play paid in cash for winnings less than $75 (if i remember correctly), so as long as I pulled out the winnings before then, I didn't have to hit the cashier's cage (or the tax man).

I won 10 one-day vacations to a mobile home park in Oklahoma. You could not take them consecutively. Needless to say, I never claimed that prize.

I've won a couple of small 50/50s. One was like $30 and the other like $75-$100

At Tricky Trays, various things including:
Beach basket(towels, chairs, toys,umbrella, etc)
BBQ basket
Margarita basket(included frozen margarita machine
Cocktails basket
Cupcake basket(cupcake stand, cake mixes, a whole bunch of decorative cupcake liners)
Slushy/icee maker basket
GC to restaurants(probably 3 or 4 times)
Bronx Zoo entrance for 4
Bowling passes etc smell stuff like that.

I won a Keurig.
I won an iPad(actually my husband did, but I was there and called it)
We won the pick 4 box once. It was $400+
Also won $50 and $10 on slots. LOL

Other than the random scratch ticket (and I do mean random, I don't usually buy lottery tickets) for $1, I once won a bottle of scotch (when I was a beer drinker). I also won the office football pool one week (about $30) and a basketball pool ($40). That's about it; I am not very lucky.

A yellow turtleneck from a department store in 1986. Really.....that's it.

I've won tons of things on the radio.....nothing huge, but some great prizes.....mostly

-concert tickets
-gift certificates for restaurants/shops
-hotel stays

$100 on 2 occasions: safety drawing at work & MO Lottery. DW wins all kinds of stuff, largest of which was a new Jeep. She was ~number 45 out of 50 to try a key.

When I was a kid I won a trip to Florida but we weren't able to take it. Dad couldn't take off work and mom wouldn't go that far without him. I gave friends the prize. :( About 25 years ago I won a jam box. In 2011 I won $1,000 from Lifetime TV from their Christmas contest. (Grand prize was $5,000 and there were 5 First Place prizes of $1,000.) Oh and 6 Lifetime TV Christmas DVDs. A few years ago I won a wireless mouse at a work function. Then last year I won $150 at a work conference.

Mostly little things. When I was a kid I won a robot from Safeway and a stuffed animal from 7/11 (odd, right?)
Last year I won $100 from a survey company, $100 Visa gift card from the walmart Mom Knows Best panel and a $200 Visa gift card from a local travel agency.

My dh has better luck, in recent years he's won TWO cell phones and a trip to Los Angeles (that was fun, we went over NYE and part of the prize was tickets to a Kevin Smith Podcast at Universal).

Nothing too big... and nothing Disney :(

I won tickets to a movie and a couple CD's when I was in high school
I have the WORST luck with scratch off lottery tickets, so I don't buy them. But I won $200 on a $1 lottery draw last Christmas Eve.
$75 at a Deal or No Deal slot machine in Las Vegas, I was so excited about that one!
