A few things small things over the years, but the biggest was a $1000 raffle.

I won two tickets to Les Miserables when it was in Washington DC on its first national tour.

DH and I love to play the slots at the casino in Tampa, and I was playing 30 credits (60 cents) on a two-cent Quick Hit machine when I hit f0r $3,001. with six platinum quick hit symbols. I had just lowered my bet from 90 credits as I wasn't hitting and my money was going too fast! We gave each DD a "chunk of change," put most of the rest in the bank, and went back the next day to play again with what was left - after all, it was "found money." $3,000 was considerably more than we took to play with, assuming we'd lose it. I thought, what the heck, I'll try that machine again. And what do you know - I hit again, this time for $2,400. Cashed out, rounded up DH and went home.

I can't believe how lucky I've been at the casino lately! DDs told us that if we'd get out of the house for the day, they'd take down the Christmas tree and "undecorate" the house for us. So we hightailed it to Tampa with some of our previous $5,400 winnings, and on my last $20 bill (the last one I had taken to spend on the slots) I hit for $1,200 on a five-cent Triple Stars, betting 90 cents per spin. Shared some with DDs as thank-you for their efforts today (my house sparkles!) and will bank the rest. I'm convinced that this is my consolation prize for not winning Power Ball last night LOL!

I won the Buffalo wing eating championship at the Ground Round in 1984
