What do you put on your french fries?

It varies, depending on the french fry type.

Vinegar.
Salt.
Heinz Ketchup. (not all ketchup's are created equal however)
Sweet & sour sauce. (only at McD)
BBQ.

My weirdest one, I will sometimes order a McD's hot fudge sundae and dip salted McD fries into it.

Being Canadian I have to say the best way to eat fries is Poutine, which is cheese curds and brown gravy (way better than mozzerella). I also like them with vinegar, sweet and sour sauce or sour cream.

Most of the time it is ketchup or ranch. But on good fries like Boardwalk or Five guys I love salt and vinegar, yum.

Depending on the surrounding foods,

Ketchup w/salt (normal for most situations)

Hot mustard (with mcnuggets at McD's)

Malt Vinagar (when I get chicken and chips at the two fish places we eat at and sometimes at home)

Gravy (at just about any resturant around here but usually when I get chicken strips w/gravy)

Chili and/or Cheese (sonic-the only way to make thier fries edible or a lot of resturants have these around here)

Most of the time I like them salted, but sometimes I eat them plain.

For sauces I like ketchup, ranch dressing or cheese. Depending on what I'm eating them with. Like if I'm eating chicken strips I usually eat ranch dressing with my fries, I especially when I'm at Chili's. If I'm having a burger then it's ketchup with my fries and I normally eat cheese fries alone.

otherwise it's almost always ketchup or nothing with two exceptions:
chipotle mayo on yam fries
and sweet and sour sauce mixed with McChicken sauce for McDonald's fries

A-1 Steak Sauce!!! My sister and I were like 5 years old the first time we ate this and ever since then that is our condiment of choice. If no A-1 available then ketchup or vinegar or ranch. However, I would NEVER pick a condiment over A-1.

McDonald's gets sweet and sour sauce. Everywhere else gets mayo, maybe with a little ketchup.

If I really want a treat, I mix ketchup, mayo and seasoned salt for a fry dip. Yum.
