What do you put on your french fries?

DH and I are having the age old condiment discussion.

What do you put on or dip your french fries into?

For me, I prefer mustard but BBQ or ranch dressing also works.

At home I dip them in sour cream first and then ketchup. At restaurants, usually just ketchup.

just seasoning salt
salt and vinegar
salt and ketcup
mayo
or if i'm up to a cholesterol heart attack i'll have poutine - gravey and cheese mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

really depends on the fries which is how i decide what to top them with

And i havent had fries for a long time as they havent been worth the extra treadmill time, but this thread may have just changed that

I do like cheese sauce with fries but for places that don't serve cheese fries, then I just want them bare nekkid!

mostly - ketchup
if available - liquid cheese (favorite is from the potato patch at kennywood!)
mc donalds - regular honey
if available - brown gravy (people look at me crazy when i ask --- guess it's a PA thing)

Back when I was a youngin' I worked at McDonald's. Eating the same food all the time got old so I started mixing sour cream packets with the salsa packets and dipping my fries in that. Yummy in my tummy.

My brother who now lives in Florida, and his GF who hasn't lived anywhere but the south, just came for a visit earlier this month. It was the first time she's ever had cheese fries and gravy from a real (her words) diner. She loved it!

*when I say cheese fries, I mean melted cheese (mozzarella), not cheese sauce.
