What do you put on your french fries?

Ketchup & mayo mixed..yumm
Vinegar for 5 Guys or with fish
Loaded chili cheese w/ sour cream anywhere I can get 'em..

Have heard of poutine, but never seen them offered that way 'round here... dd loves McD's with sweet & sour..skeeves me out though!

Me too -- nekkid fries for me.
Nekkid fries, I like that. Make mine nekkid too, except for some salt.

Ketchup 'n it has to be Heinz.
I worked at Heinz for an internship for school in the chemistry lab. All I did all day was mess with ketchup. I use to use ketchup on fries until I was at Heinz and played with ketchup for 8 hours a day for about 6 months. It was a very long time before I was able to stand ketchup again, and it never did go back on fries. Just basically hamburgers, and have to have ketchup on scrambled eggs.

Heinz ketchup & malt vinegar (not many people in midwest have heard of vinegar, must be an east coast thing)
ranch or mayo once in a while

If they are fair fries (skins left on, cut and put in the fryer right in front of you) then lots of malt vinegar and salt.

Other fries: usually just salt, occasionally ketchup too.

Speaking of fries, has anybody else noticed a change in McDonald's fries? They do not taste like they used to and I hate them now. :sad1:

/
mayo
malt vinegar~ like @ 5 guys
blue cheese dressing
ketchup

and if I am somewhere where they have brown gravy~ yummmmooo !

They changed the recipe to remove the transfats -- transfats taste good.

Also, they used to soak them in sugar water before freezing them -- not sure if they've stopped doing it.

Sweet & sour sauce from McD's or Heinz ketchup.
Skinny fries = s&s sauce
Fat fries= ketchup

lol Yes, unfortunately they do! I thought they may have changed the oil they used. They just don't taste the same anymore.

I really like the new Wendy's fries now!

When I was pregnant with DS12, I ate McDonald's fries with tarter sauce everyday. All the ladies in the office started eating it too. :lmao: Now it is sweet & sour sauce at Mickie D's, Kane sauce at Raising Kane's and ketchup everywhere else.

It's the oil. When they did the big push for healthier oils and McDonalds had to by law in NY, so they did it everywhere. The new oil only gives them that distinctive crisp fry texture and taste when they're freshly out of the vat. If they sit for any amount of time they limp right up and are just like everyother fry in the world.

Mustard!

I actually have a ketchup phobia, it makes me sick to even watch people eat it or look at it

Chili and cheese. Like there's anything else out there that goes on fries. :confused3 :lmao:

Exactly!! :thumbsup2 Preferably with a big spoonful of sour cream on the top.

But, if not that, ketchup, ranch, or ketchup-mixed-with-mayo ~ sort of a homemade "fry sauce".

Preferably gravy and cheese curds (extra squeaky for me!).

Otherwise, ketchup and mustard, though occasionally BBQ or steak sauce.

lots o' ketchup and salt. Sometimes I do mix a little mayo and ketchup together, but not often. Also, if they are McDonald's, then I like to dip in their bbq sauce!
