What do you like to get from Room Service?

We wanted to take a snack at one of our ports and order BP&J the night before. They bring the Smuckers PB&J all in a sealed. Perfect to tie you over on shore.
ANd of course the cookies and milk at night.

There was a lot to love on the room service menu. We had BLT's, steak sandwiches, the All Hands on Deck, Mickey Bars, cookies, and drinks. Everything came pretty quick and was pretty good. I also recommend the AHOD and Mickey Bars.

AHOD for me, Chicken Fingers and cookies for DS, Mickey Bar and AHOD for DH. On our recent Wonder cruise DS loved the Mac n Cheese, it came in a little croc pot and toasted on top. On our previous Magic and Fantasy Cruises the Mac n Cheese seemed to be the popular blue box kind. He really appreciated the fresh Mac n Cheese this cruise so he had it as his 5pm snack almost every day, in lieu of the chic. Fingers.

Our 12yo son really looks forward to ordering room service. He loves the pizza and mac and cheese and he prefers eating alone and not in the MDRs so we let him do that at least a couple times each cruise. We also get mickey bars and sometimes we'll get chocolate cookies and make ice cream sandwiches. The husband and I get All Hands on Deck cheese/cracker tray to snack on with a glass of wine in the evening. We also order continental breakfast many mornings to feed the kids and my coffee addiction.

The only thing I've ordered from room service was Uncrustable sandwiches to take on an excursion. I knew kids would be hungry, so I ordered them and asked them to keep the packaging on. I will say, they were prompt and courteous!

What a great idea! I'm definitely going to order the PBJs for port days!

Are there any other pre-packaged type foods they can bring for us to take off ship/excursions?

Does anyone know what kinds of cheeses come on the all hands on deck platter, or do they change?

All Hands On Deck for me. Big Island Cookies and milk for DH and DS.
Coffee and hot tea in the morning.

Not from room service but there are individual servings of cereal in Cabanas in the mornings, and I believe there are single serving sized bags of chips up at the quick service places on the pool deck. If you order the Uncrustables, make sure to specify you want them unopened. Otherwise, room service will open them prior to delivering them.

It generally comes with blue cheese, brie, Babybel, cheddar, and swiss. There might be one more on there, but I can't remember.

We would always order coffee in the carafe the night before. Stays warm until morning to enjoy on your verandah! Would also order the girls cereal & milk the night before & place the milk containers in the fridge. The next morning they would join us on the verandah for a quick "pre-breakfast" while everyone gets ready for the day. Worked out wonderfully!! And then you're not bothered by room service too early in the a.m. if everyone decides to sleep in the next morning!

So many great ideas. It seems like we definitely need to try All Hands on Deck (because there's always room for Cheese), the chocolate chip cookies (with milk), Key Lime Pie, Chicken Fingers, Mickey Bars and we need to get Uncrustables if we think we'll need some food for port excursions. I guess I better start saving my $1s.

Ive heard some like to order the All Hands on Deck for the sail away. So when do you order this? Do you order it before the muster drill or when teh rooms are open? I would love to order this the first day!

Odd as it sounds, my 6 and 5yo girls wanted the tomato bisque and Greek salad every day. We had late dinner so we would relax in the room at around 5:00 before the show. Mickey bars! I thought the wings were good and the fries were good. Chicken tenders and sandwiches were just okay.

We had Babybel, Cheddar, Parmigiana, Brie, and Swiss on recent Wonder. That also came with fruit some pineapple, grapes and strawberry. My guess is it depends what they have on hand (no pun intended). Magic last year we didn't have Parmigiana and they had something else I didn't like. They didn't have pineapple but cantaloupe. Fantasy had two cheeses I didn't care for, but had Swiss, cheddar and brie and I don't remember the fruit. Might be a ship thing or just what they have. It was in chunks not sliced like the buffet.
