What CROCS did for me!!

My Kindergartener's pink Payless CROCs were take yesterday out of the school locker room yesterday! She changed for swimming and left her shoes outside the little half locker. When class was over, her CROCs were gone! Her teacher and the principal looked and looked everywhere for them, including the previous classes' regular lockers. Bummer :(.
That's a shame. I hope the person who stole them get big ol' blisters on their feet! ::yes::

I would be inclined (should your DD get anohter pair) to put her name on the bottom of each shoe in permanent marker. Not to say that will keep them from being stolen, but sure would be easier to identify as hers! :flower:

:cool1: I've worn my new CROCS two days, for 2 hours the first and 5 hours the second with no problems. I did notice that once in a while my shoe will make "pppfff" sound....DS calls it a Shoe F##t...he's going to be 13 tomorrow can't ya tell? :rotfl: It rained a bit yesterday, but not enough to test the CROCS on wet pavement...today however is a different story...it poured so I'll find out.

DH has changed his tune...he tried my Beach M (8-9) on his big ol' mens size 9 1/2 foot...it was a Cinderella's Step-sister moment!!! :rotfl2: But, he said, "Man! That IS comfortable!! And like nothing is there it's so light!" Ah ha!! Another convert!!! DH said he would prefer the Nile...a bit more manly he thinks so I'm still waiting on a call from my Dsis about the kiosk in her mall.

And yesterday I received an email back from Mike at CROCS, who said he got the link to this thread, read DChef's first post and forwarded it to some of the executives of the company. He has not read the entire thread though. So, who knows what will happen...maybe DChef will get a few words of gratitude for spreading the word about their product.

I was telling my oldest sis about them on the phone and now she is curious about the CROCS...she wants to try them on when she drops by this afternoon.

Well, thanks for all your help DIS family! I will let you know how the test run progresses!!

Thanks but you know this was only one thread I started...the rest happened when all of you took the leap of faith and started talking as well. There were others at the DIS that mentioned them too but for whatever reason the thread had gotten over looked--I am glad this one caught someones attention!! You guys are the best!!

You know Robin that stinks--why would someone take someones shoes??? My girlfriend bought some crocs when she was in her last three months of pregnancy because nothing else would fit her, IN the hospital someone took her Crocs--security even looked everywhere for them--she had to walk to the car with baby and no shoes!! Wrong I tell you--People, get your own crocs!

Just back from our latest WDW trip ~ and I have some good news and bad news regarding my CROCS.

After wearing them for 12 hours straight on May 11th, I have to say that I did get a blister on my left instep :guilty: However! The next day it seemed to have cleared up and I wore them again for another 12+ hours at EPCOT. This time, I got a small blister on my right baby toe :guilty: I do want to say that even with these small inconveniences, I still love my CROCS :goodvibes

As Hubby and I went through the parks, I did keep an eye out for them. Sadly, I only saw 2 other people wearing them. An orange pair in EPCOT and a khaki pair at the hotel :confused3

Just got back and I have to say my baby blue Crocs were the perfect Kali River Rapids shoes! I love that ride and the wetter I get the more I enjoy it! Thanks to my Crocs, my feet were dry not long after we took our last ride down the rapids. My DH wore his Tevas and the straps were still a bit damp hours later when we left AK.

I too occasionally get a sound when walking on real smooth floors. It almost sounds like a suction cup letting go. Has anyone else noticed these noises when walking? I was hoping the attraction with bodily noises would cease by the time the kids were 13, but I guess not - mine are 8 and 5, and have just learned the armpit way of making those noises. I'm so proud of my little princess, she has such talent..... :rotfl2:

I wore my Crocs in Brooklyn yesterday, all day long, at the aquarium, Coney Island, and on the boardwalk. Love them! I didn't wear them IN the water, but down to the shoreline. I didn't see any others, though. :sad2:

My feet were comfy all day, and nothing hurts today, either!! Any other time, my ankles would have swelled, and I'd be limping today after walking around for eight hours. These are the most comfy shoes I've ever had. :cool1: :cool1: I have Happy Feet!

Hi guys! I'm back with some updates too! I also want to thank Dchef for telling the rest of us about these. I wore mine this weekend at Cedar Point (a big amusement park near us) and also found them to be really comfortable. I haven't tried them without socks yet (it was 60 and rainy all day) and am not sure how that will feel, but I have worn my Niles a lot without socks and also find them comfortable.

But not only did I wear them, but so did all 3 of my boys (13, 11 and almost 10). I posted earlier about my 13 year old wearing them to school. He came home the first day all upset because some 8th graders made fun of them (he's a 7th grader) and said he looked *** (a word that used to mean happy that I'm not sure I can use on these boards). So I figured that was the end of it. But then starting the next week he wore them nearly every day. I asked him why if people made fun of him and he said "Because they're so comfortable. And they're cool!" Now a bunch of kids have tried his on and asked him where he got them. Same deal - "they're so light!" All my boys loved them this weekend. So I guess they won't be staying in the camper, which is what I got them for!

Just a warning if you get the Komodo brand instead. (We have them at Dunham's and I've seen them online) They look exactly the same and have the same sizing as Beach but run quite a bit smaller. I wear a 10 1/2, and my 10-11 Beach Crocs are really big. In the same size in the Komodo's, my foot is hitting the front. I know I could probably stretch the band some, but since they're my son's and he wears a size smaller than me, I don't want to stretch them out for him. So all you people in the 9's, trust me the 10-11's look worse, but I love mine anyway!

marcieme...Cedar Point rules!!! It is my favorite park for rollercoasters!!! Heck, with what? 17 now? It can't be beat! Millenium Force is the absolute Rolls Royce of coasters...the smoothest, sweetest ride ever! Sorry...I'm sounding like my 13 year old.

CROCS update from southern Illinois....
Yesterday I drove 2 hours to Fairview Heights Mall, which is about 25 minutes Illinois side of St. Louis on I-64, to buy a pair of red Niles! :cool1: Their is a kiosk in the center of the mall which opened up about 10 days ago selling CROCS. The owner, who has a bead/jewelry store in nearby Alton, IL (is listed as a retailer on the CROCS site), has a nice selection of the Beach style especially the LIME, and currently a limited selection of the Nile, Highlander and Metro. I asked her if she shipped the CROCS and she said she does!!! She told me she charges $5 for the shipping which is less than the CROCS website. She gave me a business card and telephone number...if anyone is interested just PM me and I'll be happy to pass it along. :wave2:

I have to admit, that after wearing my Beach CROCS all day yesterday I did feel a bit of a "rub" under my "ring finger" toe on the left foot, but no blister. I have 2 places that if I'm gonna get a blister this is where it will happen...that toe and my pinkie toe on the right foot. I have really weird feet...wore orthopedic shoes in 1st grade due to broken down arches...Hey, I liked to jump off of things...and my tarsals tend to web like a duck rather than grow straight, plus I'm cursed with the genetics of my momma...big toes really curve upward...rips some canvas shoes after long term wear...and those pinkie toes curl on their sides so I'm walking on the side of the toe not the bottom. Plus, I have really wide feet and narrow heels...which is why I think my Beach CROCS fit so well...they let my feet do what they want. The Niles seem to be a bit more narrow as mentioned here...so we'll see how they work for me.

Well, hope ya'll are having a CROC of a week!

Whoot! I got Lime Green ones today!!! And the store I went to had 13 different colors! They just got them in. And they will ship... I don't have the Phone number, but it is called Palmetto Moon, in the Citadel Mall, Charleston South Carolina. There is 2 stores, but they are the only ones that will ship. I think they are on the Crocs web site.
BTW the Lime is a little darker and pretty viabrant, but not day glow.Ilove them. And now have all the colors I want. And I am doing the single digit dance! 3 days till Disney!

I just got my Niles at Taylor Shoes, in the Kansas City area. I was so surprised they had so many colors. I bought the pink ones in size 7, even though I usually wear an 8. The sales clerk stretched them for me. They also have the bright pink and green Beach style. Taylor Shoes can be found at: www.taylorshoes.com. They only charge $5 for shipping. You can also call the number on the website--I think they have a tollfree number. They are VERY knowledgeable about all things Croc there.

Well.. Finally.. They may be catching on down here. Today in the Miami Herald was a blurb of shoes for toddlers. The lowest on the scale was Payless sandels, Medium was Stride rite water sandels and tops were pink crocs!!! :Pinkbounc
It was pretty glowing and even a picture for just a blurb and it was mentioned that they have adult sizes as well. ;)

I've posted on here several times and keep forgetting to mention this....

When I first joined the boards and saw the header to the thread, I thought CROCS...why do I want to read a thread on Crocodiles :rotfl: I'm glad that one day I opened the thread and discovered CROCS. :cool1:
I have a pair of CROCS and 2 pr of the Payless. The CROCS are more comfy to me and looking for more CROCS but the REI near me, doesn't have the Navy in my size.

Pair # 1 Beach-Black
Pair # 2 Beach-Bright Blue

Still deciding on pair # 3...so many colors, I just can't decide! :confused3

Broke down and got pink. Got SIL black beaches for her B-day today. Spreading the word. :teeth:

Ukrop's still has a few left!

Pair #1 Beach - Pink I bought a few weeks ago.

Today I bought pair #2 Beach in Navy.

I wanted purple, but they were out of my size.

I too occasionally get a sound when walking on real smooth floors. It almost sounds like a suction cup letting go. Has anyone else noticed these noises when walking?

Yep, I get it too, only when walking on tiled floors, and only with my right shoe/foot!

Does anyone know what the difference is between the Beach and Cayman styles except for color offerings?

Where I've been buying mine, they had the purple that on the Croc site is only offered in the Cayman, but these were definitly the Beach style in purple. Wish I had bought them when I had the chance. They won't be getting any more in at the place I'm buying them at. (Ukrop's, Virginia based grocery store chain)
