What CROCS did for me!!

Has anyone found any around Western NC? I can only find the Payless versions, and they never have my size! :sad2: Thank goodness I was able to pick up a PL pair at Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago! Now, I just have to find the real CROCS! :cool1:

Whereabouts in Western NC? I don't live there anymore but I have some suggestions of the type of places that might carry them.

Asheville: try Black Mountain Sports on Tunnel Rd or Tops for Shoes downtown (Lexington, I think).

Boone: Footsloggers on King St (or did they move to Howard St?), Mast General (especially the original in Valle Crucis), maybe the Ski and sports stores.

Good luck! I wish I were in the mountains with you!!! :)

The Crocs website has a dealer locator under "Ordering".

Well I'm bummed. After reading this thread and the raves about Crocs, and the fact that I have a hard time finding comfortable shoes that fit, I was psyched! I went and tried some on today and they just don't fit. the 8-9 is just a tad small and the next size is huge. No Crocs for me.

I found that the Beach fit me the same way. I wear an 8 1/2 and my size 8 Caymans fit fine. They were a tiny bit tight when the strap was on, but I just pulled the strap a bit to stretch it out.

Gotta say I have bought my mom and sister a pair for mothers day!

My Caymans gave me a nasty blister on the side of my foot! Ouch!

My first post to the Croc thread.

My mom and I looked at these yesterday in Kaufmann's and thought - ugh- these are ugly. Does anyone think they look great the first time they see them?

Do you think I could get used to them? I have back and foot issues and they seem to help out with those. Or will I forever be trying to hide my feet? ;)

I looked on the Crocs website, and can't really tell what the difference is between the Cayman and the Beach models.

The styles look just about identical to me.

I did order a black Beach pair from Zappos though- gotta love that 365 day return policy with free shipping!!

DH want's me to wait to order any more until I wear these for a while (like all day at a WDW park). We're going down for Memorial day weekend.

The Caymans are a little narrower and they are whole sized (6, 7, 8 , etc). The Beachs are a little wider and sized S, M, L which made for a sloppier fit for me. If you already wear a wide shoe, then the Beach may work out OK for you.

And there's just a little bit of detail on the front of the shoe that's different. The Cayman's have just a straight line detail on the top of the shoe where you slide your foot in. The Beach model doesn't have the straight line, there are more points towards the toes. I love mine!!!

When I was heavier, I wore an 8, but now that I'm lighter, I seem to be in a 6.5 to 7.

And I seem to be a medium width- when I first tried on my pair of Beach, my left foot felt kind of sloppy. However, my right foot is a bit wider, and felt just fine.

Maybe I'l try a Cayman in purple..... I LOVE purple!

The sizing seems to run different though.

I just wish that Zappos carried the whole line. That way I could try them and return them if they don't work out.

Maybe I'll stop by Dillards or HalfMoon Outfitters or something.

Thanks!

Hey everyone, I have been enjoying the thread here as it continues to grow and grow!!
Just wanted to let everyone know about some Croc News: According to the Denver Buisness Journal and an article called Shoemaker Crocs Plans Full Clothing Line by Paula Moore: Crocs is indeed planning to launch a new clothing line--though right now it is in its infancy.
No specifics yet. It recently introduced a product line called Foam Creations, which includes cushions for boats and hot tub pillows and such. "Also, has introduced new types of shoes including rain boots and flip-flops and will have more sizes and colors to its childrens line".

So there is the latest in the papers on Crocs! New kids will be out in May I think they told me--so real soon. I went looking for my daughter who wants some pink ones and they gave me that scoop. I saw tons of the Lime green at the kiosk in the mall--they they were all lined up.

Glad to here there are happy feet out there--and for those who think they can't wear them--don't give up there are many styles I think for many people. Try the different styles. I wear mine "sloppy big" and without the strap because I think it wouldn't fit anyway.

I have missed chatting here--but truth is I have been so busy trying to get my house ready for market--I have paint on my Black crocs...I waited for it to dry and scrubbed it right off:rotfl2:LOVE THEM!!
I'll be chatting soon.

I just got back from our local Nordstrom and they have Crocs in stock now! They are $29.95 and they have Red, Black, Navy, Light Blue and Yellow. I got a size 9 in the Red. I had bought the payless brand last night in black, but I like the Crocs better. So if you are still looking, Nordstrom in WA state is carrying them in the BP shoes section! (BTW they are the Cayman style, not the Beach) I find that the Caymans fit me very well as I have a narrower foot.

My CROCS arrived yesterday (ordered from ebay). I was a little worried because I had ordered a medium (I ususally wear a 9W) but the medium fit fine. Put them on and didn't take them off until I went to bed. Even wore them with my nightgown as I was doing some wash! They feel wonderful and I'm definitely putting them in the car to wear on my drive home from work. That's when my heel pain is the worst!

But I've read that the Caymen's are narrow. Is that true? I have a wide foot and the Beach was perfect in the width, it was the length that was the problem.

Flower sent you a PM with local info for Chas. Sorry, did not read you are going down Memorial Day! So are we! I am up in Summerville, small world. heheha Going out today to look for a few more colors. I am still at 6 pairs. Will check Dillards again, and let you all know if they have any different colors. You can order them on the Dillards web site also. But not sure they would get to you in time for Memorial Day. I am hoping since it is Mom's day I will have better luck finding them, HA!

Attention all those waiting patiently for their backordered Lime Green Crocs from Sahalie....mine shipped today!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Got a new pair for Mother's Day! The DS, 19 came up with the idea. They are the baby blue, and didn't really think I wanted that color, but love them!
Both DS's, 19 and 13 , think I am obcessed. As I walk by if anyone asks about them and I start to talk about them DS13 mutters under his breath "obsessed" and shakes his head and wanders off, rather fast. Still need lime green, still afraid to order them. But I might have to! Think I will stop then, I mean how many pairs is too many? 8?11? or all 17 colors?
Note: that was a serious question... and the Crocs addiction site is located where? We can meet at my house, and you all bring all those shoes and just leave them here.. 'specially the M sizes....

Just wanted to say, went to the Podiatrist yesterday, confirmed that plantar fasicia thing, plus I have another tendon under the ankle that is swollen, all in all she was very impressed with my knowledge of my "problem", and with the Crocs, she said "European" shoes are very popular, the heal bed is important, and these have a good strong, flexible heel bed, also when standing on concrete these would provide support, and comfort - so she says "where'd you get hem?" :rotfl: and yes I told her the 2 local stores I got them, plus crocs.com, couldnt remember the other shoe sites listed here...

so 2 thumbs up from our podiatrist!! :wizard:

Moc Crocs are FINALLY in at our Payless. I'm to do some shopping. :rolleyes1
I've been wearing my Crocs for gardening and now need another pair I can respectfully wear around town. :rotfl:
Wish me luck.
