I am not sure what to bring for a few upcoming parties next week. I am thinking fruit on a stick and maybe some low fat dips.

I am not sure what to bring for a few upcoming parties next week. I am thinking fruit on a stick and maybe some low fat dips.

I did some hunting and found some low-fat christmas cooking ideas on ivillage:

ivillage.co.uk/food/experts/coach/articles/0,,177274_604890,00.html

Some of the ideas aren't as appealing as others, but there are some neat ideas for keeping the fat and sugar down.

Here's my favorite recipe for a low cal, low fat fruit dip. Most people would never know....

Take a package of fat free, sugar free pudding and prepare according to the directions on the box. Once you've made your pudding, add 1 container of sugar free cool whip. Mix well and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. [Notes: I like white chocolate pudding mix, but any flavor that blends well with your fruit will do. I use skim milk to cut down on fat. The sugar free cool whip works better than fat free cool whip -- the little bit of fat in the sf cool whip helps the dip to set-up better.]

Serve with your favorite fruits and watch it disappear. This is a family favorite and I'm always asked to bring it...

Thank you both!!!!!!!!!

I will have to make the dip mentioned. I think I have everything here already and I will also check out other reciepes.

Thanks again!
