What a WONDERful World: Our First Disney Cruise on the Wonder, May 13-May 17! (DONE!)

I love, love, love dinner at Palo. In about 53 days I get to get up really early & book our dinner & afternoon tea at Palo for my bday cruise.
I found the hidden mickey on the plate after much looking.....he's really small.
Can't wait for more.

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you know that I won't be around to write my Trippie this weekend or tomorrow. I'm sorry! DH & I will be busy celebrating our Anniversary weekend over at the Contemporary Resot. We have ADR's at Chef Mickey's & Concourse Steakhouse. Our Anniversary dinner will be at Cinderella's Royal Table! I'll make sure to post some pictures in my Trippies when we get back!

My Birthday!

What better way to celebrate then on...
CASTAWAY CAY!
Who cares that the rum is gone! I found Jack Sparrow!



It was my 24th birthday, so I had to wake up and let the celebrating begin!!!

I couldn't wait to step off the ship at be at Castaway Cay!
The first thing I saw was the beautiful clear blue water and the Flying Butchman from "Pirates of the Caribbean!" I was in awe!

I knew Captain Jack would be making his appearance by the Flying Dutchman soon and I saw the line, so I knew it was for him! Jack came out soon after with his pirate swagger. It was so neat to see him on the island! It was so perfect!

Captain Jack and I had lots to talk about and I had to show off my Jack Sparrow tattoo, as well! He was quite impressed with that!

I couldn't think of a more amazing way to begin my birthday! Too bad the island was deserted!

What better way to celebrate my Birthday then on...
CASTAWAY CAY!


Castaway Cay was paradise and we had perfect weather! It wasn't too hot and there was plenty of wind. The Characters like to hang around on the island in the morning hours, so we decided to go visit with them before our scheduled Glass Bottom Boat Tour!

We saw Pluto and we lucked out and were the last group to meet him before he had to leave for his walk.

Goofy made his was over the the crowd and he looked so adorable in his swim gear! I gave him a hug and made my exit.

I then heard a big "clunk," "clunk," behind me and turned around to see Goofy following me! He was pointing at my back and I realized he was pointing at my Tinker Bell tattoo! Then, he pranced away like a fairy!

Mickey was standing in the perfect photo spot and he looked so cute in his island outfit!

It was almost time for our Glass Bottom Boat Tour, so we checked-in and waited to board our boat. Our boat was ready and we all climbed down the ladder on the dock, and onto our boat. Our boat took off and went right by the side of the Disney Wonder. It is so amazing to see how large it really is when you're in a small boat in the water next to it!

We made our way out into the ocean, where there was a perfect spot for us to see a lot of fish. Our tour guide then handed us all some oatmeal that we were able to throw off the boat and all of the fish went crazy for the oatmeal!

The tour was very relaxing and I loved being able to see all of Castaway Cay from our boat! We were starving after our busy morning, so it was time for some lunch!

Thank you! I know! It was the most fantastic birthday and Pirate Night was the night too! I couldn't have planned a better party! I can't wait to write my DL Trippie! It was so great! Oh, and maybe I did see a few Captain Jack Sparrows...

Serenity Bay


It was time for lunch and we made our way to Cookie's BBQ!

I was so impressed with the food options and it was all fantastic! The CM's on the island even got the drinks for us from the soda machines and they also brought around ice cream to our tables for dessert. I had the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough!

We were quite full from lunch and we were ready to relax on the adult beach, Serenity Bay. We hopped on the tram and were driven over to paradise.

It was so quiet and peaceful over at Serenity Bay. It was not overly crowded either and the sand was so thick. It was beautiful! We went and pick up two floats that we had rented, so we could really relax.

We grabbed two lounge chairs under an umbrella and went to jump into the crystal blue water. It was quite chilly!

We did some exploring around the ocean floor and we found a starfish!

It was the most relaxing ocean swim I've ever had! We just enjoyed floating around in the ocean.

The sun was hiding behind some clouds and it looked like a storm could be approaching soon, so we decided to pack up and get closer to the ship before it decided to pour on us.

I enjoyed the update. We've never taken the glass bottom boat tour. It sounds like it goes all the way around the island. Was it worth the $?
