What a wonderful smell...

Okay.. this goes WAY back! I have not been to WDW since 95. But as a kid we went 2 -3 times / yr.

Smell #1.. the musty smell in the Dinosaur ride in Epcot.. Cannot remember the area.. It was over near where the transportation ride used to be.

Smell #2.. again musty. The exhaust smell when the Mission to Mars (Alien Encounter) ride would land. and the room filled with mist.

Smell #3.. grease .. the smell of Indy Raceway

Smell #4.. sweet .. the smell of main st.

THe axel greast at Test Track!

Yeah, OMG I Love WDW smells!!!

Some of my favorites would have to be:
1. the smell of Rome in spaceship earth
2. the food boxes at Food Rocks (RIP:()
3. the moldy wet water smell @ Splash Mountain
Although these are "gross" smells, by some, I love them!

the apple pie smell (as well as the strawberry and champagne) from Mickey's Philamagic!!!!!!!!!!

Rome burning in SE
that sulfur smell in the water everywhere
turkey legs...yum
cinnamon roasted almonds (which I only just started noticing last week, but left me weak in the knees)
the monorail..not a great smell, but that's the smell that tells me I'm finally home!!

That humid, warm, musty smell of Florida! It hits me like a slap in the face....I think about during our cold, cold, winters....

The smoke from Kali River Rapids!!!!!!

I know someone posted the smell in Test Track- I agree! I just got back from getting my oil changed, and all I could think of while I was in there was Test Track! It made a boring errand a little more enjoyable.

There are so many scents at WDW that I just LOVE to get a big whiff of but.......

The one single smell (or more accurately ODOR) that always stands out to me is the smell of the monorail cars. They ALWAYS smell like a barn to me. My family thinks I'm crazy - but I always get that dirty animal smell stuck in my nose when I step onto the monorail!

Now, just to be clear - I have nothing against animals and their smells - as a matter of fact we have plenty of odor-producing farm animals of our own - it's just that I would expect that smell at AK, not on the WDW monorail!

The humid smell is totally Florida...

I also like the smell of fresh-baked fudge. It reminds me of the Main Street Bakery.

Sincerely,

John "anotherboardnposter" Kilduff
