What a disaster!!

Hi. I just found your trip report and read the whole thing through. I am truly enjoying it and love all of your pictures. I, too, am waiting to hear the fate of the wallet! DH and I also really liked Coral Reef. Keep up the good work :)
Thanks. Glad you like the pictures. I do switch around my camera a little bit when I took picture of the food. I used the P&S at the beginning. After I got my camera bag, I shot mostly with the DSLR but if I happened to have a lens on the camera is not suitable for the distance and don't feel like changing the lens. I would shoot it with the P&S.
Thanks for the fantastic review of Coral Reef. My husband and I will be dining there for our anniversary in 2 weeks. I will definitely be taking my dslr to dinner to try and get some shots of the tank. Which will drive my husband crazy, of course.
Yay! Congratulation on your anniversary!!! What better way to celebrate at WDW. :thumbsup2 You will love Coral Reef. Don't forget the chocolate mousse dessert.
It used to drove my DW nuts too. It took her a long time to accept the fact I just want to photograph every thing and any thing.
Ok so now I'm curious....what ARE some of the odd things you've eaten? I too like cauliflower, but what have they done to it to turn it into "foam"? LOL I've had mashed cauliflower and that's great but foam? Hmmm...

I just got caught up on your TR again. I figured I'd have time to read it while at WDW last week, but for some reason, the Dis boards weren't recognizing my screen name and password and due to the s-l-o-w dial up connection, I just didn't have time to switch back and forth to the Firefox browser and log into my AOL email to get my sign in info sent to me, plus never had that much time all at once in the room. WDW was VERY crowded last week and we didn't have as much leisure/relax time as we normally do when we go in the fall. This trip was constant go go go. I still feel zombie-like and exhausted and I got back home on Saturday night. We won't ever go again in the spring...never. It was fun to at least chat with you in emails while there ... you are the only person who has gotten a sneak peek at my future TR. LOL. I took a lot of notes and pictures, but since I've been there so many times, I don't really take as many pictures as I used to because I'm pretty sure over the years I've actually photographed every inch of WDW...probably twice. LOL

Can't wait to hear the rest of your WDW journey. Glad you're catching a break from your allergies.

Welcome back. You are certain a big fan. 2am and you are reading my TR.

I read some where here MK has reach the maximum capacity for a few days. Yikes! I can only imagine the crowd and the long waiting line. Not fun!! First two week of Feb was good. I like the last week of Sep the best. Never too crowd in those 2 time slot. I can't wait to read your TR. :surfweb: Hope it's not as stressful as mine. ;) Sounds like you have a great time, not surprise and did some power Disney as well. :thumbsup2

How can any one do dial-up these days? I know a few readers here does that too. I would be climbing up the wall waiting for the web page to show up. :rotfl:

As for some of the odd thing I ate, there are too many to list. But I normally told people my favorite odd thing to eat is Cold Sesame Jellyfish:scared1:, that pretty much gross every one out. Yes, I love eating jellyfish. I didn't make that up. Google it. Other strange stuff I like to eat are duck blood pudding, beef tripes in black bean sauce, boil pig kidney dip in soy sauce and pig stomach soup. :rolleyes1

TopDog, that post was well worth the wait! :goodvibes I'm so glad you're feeling better, too,

The food looked amazing! It's breakfast-time, yet I'm now craving that Lobster salad!! :lmao:

As always, fantastic job with the

Oh, TD! I was fine with the jellyfish thing, but then you had to go and say "duck blood pudding"! :crazy2: I couldn't read anything past that.

I'm very conservative with what I eat and the ladies here at work make fun of me for it, but I've been branching out more the older I get. Seriously, though, you couldn't PAY me to eat what you just described! LOL!

I'm sure it would be very good if I could just get past the names and no one told me what was in it. :rotfl:

You could have a show on the travel channel - oh wait, there already is one like that  I'm enjoying your trip report and your pictures!

Great now i want lobster salad lol

I'm still wanting that Lava Smoothie! Amazing how his pictures make your mouth water, huh? Especially those pictures of his steak.

I like cauliflower, but I'm still debating over cauliflower foam. Hmmm.....

I'm with you on this one. The smoothie pics have set my mouth watering all along, but cauliflower foam..... :scared1: :scared: Yuck! I'll stick to my smoothie and dessert diet for WDW! :thumbsup2  :woohoo:

Yea, TD, another update! I've never been a smoothie fan, but your pic of the lava smoothie is making me crave one. I'll definitely have to try it the next time I am at WDW.

Yea! More Top Dog TR :) Just have to say, I've tried the sesame jelly fish at a wedding. It wasn't bad--the only problem is I am allergic to shellfish, and had the same reaction to the noodles :scared1:

Thanks. I still need to stop over to your TR. I want to read many of them but don't have the time. Work doesn't allow me to get on this site. I can only sign on early in the morning or after I got home from work. What a pain! :lmao:

Well...if you can get through the jellyfish part, that's better than a lot of people I know. You should be glad you don't live close to Chinatown. :rotfl: That's where all the fancy food begins.

Thanks. I would love to work side by side with Anthony Bourdain but I would rather work side by side with Samatha Brown. :lovestruc ;)

I think DW like the lobster soup more than the lobster salad.

If you can get through the texture thing, the foam taste not that bad.

Just be warn! Once you try one smoothie, then you will want another one and then another. It's very addicting.

You must've went to a tradition Chinese wedding then. The jellyfish is a very common appetizer. Did you try the shark fin soup too??:eek: That's another favorite of mine. Very expensive though.

Yes :goodvibes Every single course involved shrimp, lobster, or scallops. Needless to say, I couldn't eat anything there :sad2: And it all looked and smelled so good. I have had shark fin soup though--it was good :) Can't wait for the next installment!

I am excited about going back to Coral Reef. We went there in '07 but had a total wench and I ended up leaving (before the entrees came out) after 'causing a little fuss. She was the worst of the worst. Anyway, that sour freeze looks so good! Great pics from CR!

Glad you're feeling better and can't wait for more updates! :thumbsup2

Glad to see the good review of coral reef. I enjoyed our dinner there (course I love chocolate and whisky so you can guess what I had).

Still really enjoying your report. I'm all caught up now and hungry as can be after seeing all those pictures of that all the food you ate on your trip. I especially want to go to Coral Reef now. YUM! :thumbsup2

Hey Topdog I had Shark Fin Soup at a wedding it was great. My parents neighbors are chinese and there daughter got married. They always took us to the best places in ChinaTown and they use to cook for us to brings back lots of memories I love authentic chinese food.

Awww...that's too bad. I would've chow down everything. The next installment should be ready soon.

You don't have much luck with the Disney waitress don't you? I hope you have better luck when you return to Coral Reef and Kona Cafe.

Update should be ready real soon.

Yay! That mousse was the bomb. I would go back there on a heartbeat. BTW, welcome back!!

Wow! Another fast reader. You will love Coral Reef but that place is so hard to get reservation.

You are very lucky. I love Chinese wedding food. Since I live in the country, all I can get is some crappy Chinese take out. There is no good Chinese restaurant around where I live. When I go to Chinatown to eat, I hardly order from the menu. Instead I order from the wall what people thought those Chinese writing was decoration.

Hey Topdog.... still here reading along. Great updates! Been busy getting ready for our trip next week. Please update about you wallet and foot before we leave if you can. The suspense is getting to me and I don't think I could handle it while we are gone because we don't plan on bringing the computer!!

Glad you are still here. I will do my best to write faster. Have a wonderful and magical trip!!! pixiedust: I hope when you come back you will start a TR.

I read you want to try the Key to Kingdom tour. I did that in 2005. It was a lot of fun. I didn't have to pay for it because I had the Premium package at the time. Most of the tour were part of the package. I think it's about $70 or $80 per person. However, I believe there is an age limit for this tour. Disney doesn't want to spoil the "Magic" for the kids and I can certainly understand that. We even have to swear we won't tell other people what we saw at the tour or we will be ban forever from WDW. ;)

Hello, Topdog! All this talk of Chinese food has my mouth watering for some Mongolian Beef. I love that stuff so much, I could even eat it for breakfast (and I have!!!).

Looking forward to hearing more of your trip. I can only look at you from work now b/c my procrastinator DH has still not installed our DSL and dialup has been removed from our service plan. I tried to get on last night from home and was so completely irritated when I couldn't. I'm a DIS junkie.

He promised to do it this weekend, but don't hold your breath. I'm about to install it myself whether he likes it or not!

TTFN.

I just read all 47 pages of your TR and I'm hooked. I love your pictures. I just got my first dSLR a couple of weeks ago a Pentax d100k super. You probally have mentioned, but I think I missed. what kind of camera bag do you have? I'm looking for one for the parks, but haven't had much luck yet.

Hopefully someone found your wallet and will return it. I lost my room key and debit card on a trip and it ended up being returned to my room. It was like magic. I called L&F and then a couple of days later it was sitting on the nightstand in my room.
