I'm always happy to make you laugh but she was mean. He got on yellow everyday and after punishing him everyday for a 6 months she told me that yellow was just a warning. He has never been on yellow in 2nd or kinder. One time I was volunteering and a kid dropped a cookie. A little girl told the teacher and she said "I already know who did it". She made them do current events and they had to get the info from the internet. Some kids didn't have access so the parents had to go to the library. She actually got in trouble for that one. She told 8 parents of boys that their kid had ADD. That's a lot considering there is only 20 kids in the class. Brooke's teacher asked me who I wanted her to have next year and I said it didn't matter. She said "You don't want THAT teacher". The teachers even know. And she spoke to me about church a lot which I thought was weird. I thought it may be just me since we went to the same type of church but all the other parents complained about it too. There are little things I don't like about the other teachers they both have had but this one was strange. As a matter of fact I don't think Brooke's teacher is strict enough.

I feel ya...I work at a school and we have our share of "mean" or "strict" teachers and they all aren't always that together. In fact, many of the teachers I come across that are short with parents or mean to kids are that way because they are tired of teaching or "over it" as one teacher told me. I've met teachers from all around the bay area and I find it fascinating that in many other countries, you have to take a test to get into teaching college, but here in the US anyone can be a teacher.

I love the "mean" teacher, those are usually the ones that are prepared and ready to help the child(ren) learn. Remember I'm a mean mom too.:rotfl:

Yup, we started it tonight and took Chinese food to the park.

sounds like a great salad, I'll have to look for it, I haven't seen it before.:thumbsup2

She did help him learn but I think it was because of me. Most the parents of boys thought she didn't help them. Ethan's teacher now is strict and way too organized because I have to sign 10 to 20 things a night but she isn't mean. She doesn't like volunteers which bugs me but I go in there anyway ;)

We have a new principle in the elementary that so many parents are complaining about. She is making the entire 5th grade clean all the bathrooms in the school everyday for an hour as "community service". There was a bus accident on the way to school...the bus driver had to go to the hospital but no injuries to any children, they all went to school but arrived 1 hour late. No parents were called during the day. No note went home with the children involved. BOY WERE PARENTS MAD!! The kids had to tell their parents about the accidents. There are many many more strange stories like this.

The PTA board went to the Area 4 supervisor (her boss) without her knowledge and "spilled all the beans". Not sure what will happen....??

Well this lady is old enough to retire and she just started teaching because she owned her own business for 20 years and it failed. I always figured she didn't really want to do it.

A lot of parents complained about this teacher as well. I never did because I tried to stay on her good side. I know the principle tells them what parents say. He did learn so that's all that matters.

Hawaii, we are there in a heart beat....my other favorite place to be besides WDW. Alaska, would probably do, just because it is DCL, but brrrrr...when I think cruising, I think sunny and tropical.

I would do both Hawaii and Alaska.

Actually the chatting the other night got me to looking at NCL for a Hawaiian cruise (Pride of America does a Hawaii only trip) and the excursions are very cool, I found several at each port that sounded very cool.

I want better excursions. None of them sounded perfect to me.

Yeah one time in Diversions you sat right behind us and didn't say anything. It looked like you needed a mommy time out so I didn't say anything!
:scared1: Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! I didn't even notice. I must have been zoned out. I wonder if that was the time I was waiting for beer tasting to start BUT THE BEEPER WENT OFF for the kids' club! :headache: I was so frustrated because I'd only had 1/2 hour of freedom. The only other time I got a chance to go in there was the following day when I did get to do the beer tasting, and then one night with Heather & Tom (threebritts).

Hi guys!!

I am feeling better....but still have a little way to go.

DC has had bad tornados today and tonight. Gretcehn and Annie go to different schools and both schools had to go into "tornado position" or 45 minutes each. In the hallway, on their knees, with their arms over their head. No damage right in Centreville, but 10 miles away people did die!!

I think I heard there are about 1,000,000 people without power in DC Surburban MD and Surburban VA.

Schools in to neighboring counties have already closed for tomorrow. Fairfax County is still open tomorrow at this point.
HOLY COW! I'm glad you and your family are safe, Lisa. I've never heard of "tornado position".....sounds awful. I hope the storms are all done in your area now.

Believe me, you saw me after a lot of drinks at the champagne tasting. I went to martini tasting before that. That was a wild day!

I do agree that I'm shyer in person. I do talk a lot in person but I'm quite, if that makes any sense! I don't have a loud voice. A lot of people always say what to me and come in closer. I'm always afraid my breath stinks!

Gaylean, diddo!!!!

Sorry to anybody I didn't say hi to, but having a slight stutter and being slightly shy I didn't quite get as brave as I wanted to on the ship. :(

No worries. You looked stressed. You were sitting next to a port hole and we may have been waiting for beer tasting. I can't remember.

You were fine with me. When we saw each other we spoke for a while. I think you were the first one to come up to me in the port :confused3 I was happy to put a face with a name.

Well, at least I did get to do the beer tasting eventually. I swear.....NEXT time I'm able to take a vacation, I'll be going ALONE. :thumbsup2

who can I ship Haley to first....

she wants her "him" ( and now, if I say what is Savannah's daddy's name - "I not care"....)
she wants her Sophie
she wants her Amy
she wants her PJ
she wants her John

Not sure of the order, it's become a song around here.

There were several ports that I was thinking that it would be better if several different excursions were paired up, very true.

Tell her and Samantha, that they are missed very much!

Ps. most likely going to WDW February 12-14 or 15/09 thinking of doing a P&P Party (if offered).
