Evening, all.

Another jam packed day off. I had a sickie with me-well, he'd had a fever at midnight. I made the decision to keep him home, thinking he'd spike once the meds wore off-he didn't.

Had the cardiologist appointment to get the a-okay to have my surgery next month. That was interesting. Doc tells me I'm too young to have all these weird problems. I explained about being the 2% girl, that the lupus screen came up negative. He's of the mind that I have something rare that's causing all these things and I'll end up in a medical journal :rotfl2: . Then, when he was scheduling my stress test, he told me 2% of patients die during the procedure! Yep, he's a trip-he'd have fit in just fine with the yayas!

Went and bought a couple of nice skirts for some 'meetings'. Yeah, that's what they are, meetings! :thumbsup2

Got some research to do, yay.

Kimmie's, got a baby ham in the oven?
Tiara, you really must want Jack to come back if you're gonna take kids to CEC!
Nancy, I'm making note of those dates, lady! :teeth:
Pam, will you go rafting again and say you're me, so I can say I've been rafting? It's not happening in this lifetime.
Lily, good luck figuring out your direction. I think I know what that's like.
Bethie, caught up on sleep? My store is 9.5 miles from the house, other store is 22 miles, but the trip takes the same amount of time. Sounds like driving the Toll Road, doesn't it? :cool2:

Morning all! Ketchup time :)

Tara, glad to hear that you are doing okay rebuilding what you lost. Still has to be frustrating to do! The only experience I've had with Chuck E Cheese was for my birthday :p But good luck!

Kimmie what place were you looking at then? I'm just curious now! Yep I saw a couple Cedarville Pics too! Stupid me didn't bring my camera... I wouldn't even have needed to zoom :p I did have my cell phone but I think they all turned out yucky. I'll have to look though.

No comment on biscuit ovens and Kimmie ;)

Nancy, I wish I were in FL too! He apparently was soooo sweet when he called while I was out yesterday  Actually I am glad for him. His job is officially ending on the 3rd of March so this is a good diversion for before then! And he met a guy who wants his resume on the plane :teeth:

LOL, Tara, I'm afraid of the hair coloring stage myself. I have a few gray but I betcha in a few years it won't look so good ;) Hopefully no little teen twit will tell me what I have to do :p

Lily, I think a good direction to go is relax and napping ::yes:: Okay that's my personal fave :teeth:

Suzanne, I hope your sickie is feeling better today!!! Good luck with the research, is it for the medical stuff? What a doctor you do have there though!!! I'd probably bop him now and hten... just like I'd want to do to y'all now and... oh wait.... y'all are perfect :teeth:
Actually y'all are wonderful... doesn't mean I don't wanna bop a few once in a while (especially Alan)

unsure of what I am doing today. Seems like I haven't been home as much lately so things are behind (pot soaking in the sink from last night) I'll probably get that done and then maybe catch up on my DVDs

Morning...

Tara, we have been to CEC for parties but never had one there ourselves. It isn't bad. I would ask them for slow times, otherwise it gets very crowded. Todd and I always stayed with our girls. If it is a busy time I would recommend asking parents to stay, then just order a couple extra pizzas and some drinks for them. Extra tokens should be bought by the parents. It is a bit of hassle to get everyone back to the table at times, especially if crowded. We have done bowling parties and skating parties, we have enjoyed those also and they are very easy to manage. For bowling we just had bumpers put up for the kids.

Nancy, great on getting accomodations booked.

Elaine, as for the pan soaking if you have tried Dawn Dissolver I highly recommend it. I no longer soak anything longer than 10 minutes. A few sprays, let sit a bit then wipe off. It is wonderful. Todd was amazed himself.

Soon will be off to a 3 hr meeting. I am reminding my self to take paper and pen, need to finish planning youth dinner for Saturday...otherwise I will fall asleep.

Have a terrific day everyone.

Good morning.

Hmmmm...nothing else to say right now ;)

Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone.....

Tried to go see Nanny Mcfee with Alyssa yesterday the line to buy tickets was out the door so instead we went to Target and Starbucks. Today we are going to Nordstrom for sneakers for her. She is at work right now.

Once again - Chris only came home to change clothes and he was off again.

Amanda - pencil and paper - multi-tasking - good deal!! :thumbsup2
Elaine - enjoy your at home day today :)
Suzanne....henceforth wil be known at the "Rare YaYa" :hyper:
Tara - after having Alyssa's 5th birthday party at home I highly reccomend any party outside of the house - we have done CEC, McDonalds, Papa Ginos Pizza, roller skating. CEC is probably the hardest place to keep you group together (in my experience hardly any parents stayed either).
Nancy - Woohoo for an October trip!!!

 Morning greetings to Pam, Beth, Lily, Kimmie, Alan, Kimmar and all....

Hmmm... I'll have to look at that then, Amanda! Do you know if it works on things like rice that is stuck to teh side of a pot? Those I usually let soak in just water so the rice gets water logged and floats off.

Hope the meeting isn't too bad. I've done the same thing in boring meetings. We had a lot of those right before I got married... helped a lot!

Morning Nancy! How are things today?

Have fun shopping Paula! Sounds like y'all will have a great day!!!!

Okay all this food talk is making me hungry! I might have to go to my local french bakery for lunch :teeth:

alright....still stuffy and coughing, but I think it is getting better

Take me to a bakery for lunch!! Sounds great!

Hi Y'all!

We have done birthday parties at home, but did several at our church where they would allow us to use a classroom and then just let the kids play on the playground.

We did go to someone else's party at CEC a few weeks ago and it went very well - especially considering that it was thrown together in a few hours

Morning, all! Once again, I've no time to stay and chat--gotta head for the CPA to drop off finished work and pick up more to do. Deadline is next Wednesday, so we're getting a bit frantic. Working the 2-10 shift at the store and we are expecting a pallet with 53 boxes today, sometime between 10 and 5. Love those specific delivery times.

Wish I could go shopping with ya'll, Paula! I haven't been anywhere but Wal Mart, Target and the grocery store since before Christmas! Enjoy your excursion!!

Sending prayers and PD to ya, Nancy. Hoping that cold will break up over the next few days and you'll be able to fly with some degree of comfort!

Biscuit/oven/baby ham.......... :rotfl2:

gotta dash!! Big smoochies and hugs to all!! :grouphug:

Nancy, I think I might be going for Chinese today... though not 100% sure. Both sound good to me now. But if I dont' go today I am going tomorrow

Awww Alan, that was so sweet that Rebecca threw together a CEC party for you so quickly this past weekend ::yes::

Bethie souns like you are being over worked! Take it easy!

My computer keeps losing connection so take two on this

Doing Chinese here tonight. Been eating dinners at the IL's since we have no sink. Thought bringing home dinner this time would give her a bit of a break. :)

Busy Bethie, (between 10 & 5... snork! Don'tcha love it! ) Stuffy Nancy, (get well wishes to you Nancy!) and Alan had a party at CEC!! Yay! Now that rocks! :p CEC! YaYa meet! Cool! Last one into the ball pit gets cheetoed!

Suzanne is making the medical journals! I knew a YaYa would become famous someday! :cheer2:

Pam and Tara have both been rafting? Okay it's offical. I'm a wuss.

Elaine, I have no idea about the Third Day site. I'm confused. LOL!! I checked into the Gomertopia page and it seems there's a place to register with a "Gomer name", then another place, there's the opportunity to register for advance ticket purchasing options, etc. Once I registered there, I went to the boards and checked the member list to see if I was also listed there. I wasn't. I attempted to post, but said I needed to register. Looked around, and there at the boards was an additional place to register. Hmmm. Odd because the link you posted showed a board name listed under your name, yet you weren't listed on the board's member list. Hmmmm. Curious. Either that, or I'm a dope. Don't answer that. :teeth:

Sleepy today.

Howdy!

I'll pop back in later, but I'm a happy girl. The local wine superstore has decided to carry our favorite LI vintner. So steak, red wine and stuffed clams are calling...

Suzanne

quiet day in the resort!
I didn't have time to post today (or at least i don't think I posted...who knows I can't remember back that far!!)

Anyway, I'm snake in on Kimmie's ketchup and say, "yeah what she said!!"

Oh, and I haven't been rafting yet. June will be my first trip  :hyper:

Tonight was fundraiser night for Jarrod's school at CEC!! How funny is that! So we went and spent three hours there. They have remodeled and it was really bright and looked clean. It looked like all new carpeting and tables. Jarrod had a blast and ethan enjoyed getting to run around with mommy bent over chasing him!! hehehhe

It was quite comical! The pizza wasn't that bad either! So its official I'm doing the party there! I couldn't believe that my CEC thread reached 3 pages today! woohoo!!

I'm going over to that thread now and post my decision and thank them for all the advice!! (see if I can get it to 4 pages!! :teeth: )

later gators!!
tara

Wow, it was quiet here today, but I wasn't around much so I guess I didn't notice

Kimmie, I will have to look at the site again. I swore I registered there. I dunno... so confuzzled!

Hope you enjoyed your food there Suzanne! Sounds like something Luis would've liked!

I think it is official, we have to do a CEC Ya Ya meet :p

Drinking Black Cherry Vanilla COke... still haven't decided if I like it or not

I'm tired though... getting ready for bed. 'Nite all!

I'm back. The menfolk were happy with dinner :teeth:

Lainey, tell Luis to come on down! It took a very long time to downsize my cooking, but I can cook for 8 really easily! Black cherry vanilla coke tasted all artificial to me that it didn't even have a cola flavor.

Nancy, glad you're on the mend in time for the trip!

Tara, the school was doing you a favor with that fundraiser, eh? Our fund raisers are ALWAYS at chick fil a-which I wouldn't mind if it was breakfast time.

Kimmy, yum, honest to God, NY/NJ chinese! By the time that kitchen is done, you'll be so tired of not eating at home that you'll cook for a month straight!

Paula, seems like Alyssa's got a long winter break! Good thing that you're getting to spend all that time with her. My sister, the student nurse was peppering me with questions about my odd stuff today!

Bethie, get some SLEEP! You're too good to those former bosses.

Suzanne

Shopping was fun - I can tell you how many pairs of sneakers are in the mall and all the colors.....
Oh yeah - we came home empty handed though......she couldn't decide.... :rotfl2:

Not a wasted trip - Cheesecake Factory for appetizers (crab wontons) and dessert - I chose Brownie Sundae cheesecake - she had Peanut Butter Cup.

She did have a long break Suzanne - 11 days!!!!!

cold and freezing rain here - flannel sheets are calling....nite all........

Morning!

Have had a sick nephew (I babysit him), sick DS, and a sick DH. Been spraying Lysol like crazy! :teeth: Hope I don't get it. :rolleyes1

Jared has his first dance today. :) He's very excited.

Morning....

Sherry...hope everyone is feeling better
Nancy...same for you feeling better

Elaine..not sure about rice. I made the girls bacon last night. The pan was a site (stainless steel). Sprayed it, ate dinner and then it wiped right out.

Really need to work today...not sure it will happen though :duck:

You are my :sunny: - my only :sunny:

You make me :teeth: when skies are :umbrella:

You'll never know dear, how much I  you,

So please don't take my :sunny: away......

Morning.

Sherry...hope everyone gets well soon...and that you don't get it.
Dave is close to 2 weeks with his cold.
I had a bad night last night, so am going back to bed and then out for errands.

Have a great day everyone.
Glad to see Pam is so :sunny:
