Anyone had the concierge service offered for Grand Villa stays recently?

I was just wondering if this is still a thing, I know several people posted that MS had got in touch a few months before and offered to assist with booking ADRs and other things for GV stays. Possibly was just a trial and no longer happening any more as I’ve not seen anything recently. What are the chances of getting this for our upcoming stays? Would be lovely to have some help.

Well, not recently. Mine was in 2022, so I have no idea if it is still a thing or not. I will say, however, that it was sort of nice for them to book ADR's, but in no way was it essential or anything I would ever pay for, IMO. And that was in 2022, when ADRs were harder to get than they are now. IOW, if you don't get the offer, you're not missing much.

We had it for our GV visit in January this year. We received an email from them in October 2024, I think, roughly a month before our 60-day ADR booking window opened in November. They booked all our ADRs the morning our window opened and would have booked tours, dessert parties, etc. but we didn’t want any of those. They don’t book LLs. It was a great help, because I’m in Central time and was dreading having to be awake enough to book ADRs at 6 AM my time!

So quite recently then. Yes, it would be a great help as we have a party of 10 and split stays so may otherwise be very difficult I think. We are at the 90 day mark now, so fingers crossed!

We recently stayed in a poly bungalow and they did a great job with our dining reservations. I think we got the email around 2.5 months from arrival.

party of 10 and split stays

Good luck thats a big party. We only have 6 so we fit in all the restaurants more easily.

For split stays an option you have is doing a placeholder booking on cash for 1 person for the length of your stay. Make all your reservations then once the booking window opens on your whole stay after the split then cancel the cash booking.

Its a shame that split stays are not just recognized to start with but its a work around if needed.

We had it for our our GV, party of 7, end of March 2025. I simultaneously used my daughter’s account for a head to head test and they didn’t get anything I couldn’t get in my own. Except they did Hoop Dee Doo, which would have take some extra time because of selections and prepayment.

I will say that my heart sank when I had a voicemail from Buena Vista, FL pop up when I landed in Orlando that said there was a problem with our room.

Their first offer was a GV at OKW…. and I said we would take something at any of the crescent lake resorts because that is where all of our theme park, lighting lane, and dining reservations were… we definitely got lucky that Bob Iger wasn’t in town that week….

In addition to the time zone advantage I mentioned earlier, another advantage of having them book for me was that we had to split our party for a couple of ADRs. MS did that for me, plus there were notations on the ADRs that we were together, so the restaurant was already aware we hoped to sit together or as close as possible. Unfortunately, we ended up making lots of changes ourselves, including canceling those split-party ADRs, so I can’t testify to how well it worked. But at least DD and I didn’t have to coordinate booking our split party via our two separate MDE accounts!

Oh wow this would be amazing for my Aulani GV stay. Booking things there is not easy. I dont expect that this is something they would do for Aulani. I hope you get an email soon though!

We have a GV stay coming up in June at Riviera and were lucky enough to have the service offered. Was simple to use and they were able to make all of the dining reservations we were hoping for.
