Hi gang,

I was planning on trying to get on the computer last night...but that didn't work out.

Ethan was very needy!! If I tried to do anything other than sit in the rocking chair idle, he would cry and want to get up in my lap! :teeth: as soon as he settled in and I was comfy with him there he would scamper down. So I would then try to pick up a book or a magazine and he would be right back there wanting my attention! Once I got him to bed Jarrod wanted more attention. By the time we had snuggle time and homework time it was bed time for him. Then I went to bed!!

Today I have restored 3 out of my 35 student databases!! woohoo!! I can't beleive I'm such a dork!!

Sorry everyone is having such sour days! I hope you all improve!!

I'm sending big hugs out to everyone!!!

gotta race to the dentist...back later!!
tara

I'm getting ready to head out to the dentist so he can adjust one of the fillings. My bite is really lopsided!!

I'm also sorry to hear about your loss.

Tiara - I'm sorry about the fradulant credit card charges. I did not pick your pocket at MGM, but if I had you would recognize the charges as being more "me". I do hope it gets worked out though.
Yeah, I didn't think it was you!! There were no charges for Moonpies or RC colas!! :lmao:

I called teh credit card company yesterday and they told me that it will take a few weeks to get it all straightened out :( ..7 to 10 days for the fraud paperwork to get to me, then I have to sign it and get it notorized and sent back, then they would take 7 to 10 more days to do their inquiry and then once they have made the decision that they are indeed fraudlent charges then they will replace my funds in 48 hours! ugh!!!

Tara....dealing with the credit card thing is a pain.
Ours called when something suspicious was on there (weird internet site buying  ).
Good luch at the dentist.
Sorry you couldn't computer last night.

Pam  sorry you are still battling the cold :(
That is what is causing my sour mood. Stupid cold!! My ears are bad anyway...worse now and I fly on Sunday....plus I am so tired :(
So much for all the preventative aids....they didn't work :(

But.....I did get a bit of a pick-me up today :teeth:
Booked our room for the Oct. trip :hyper: That makes me feel some better.

Off to watch a movie and relax for awhile.
Need to do more cookies and some ironing sometime today.

Do you belong to AAA? If so - go in and get their tour books. That's how I plan the majority of our trips - well, that and now the internet. If you don't belong to AAA, let me know and I'll pick up some books and mail them out to you.

Thanks Pam. I joined AAA last year so I could get the room discount at WDW :teeth:

However, I have trouble using the AAA Alabama website for trip planning. I've never used their tour books, but if you recommend them I will swing by the local office and put in a request.

Hi y'all dad is off to FL... lucky guy ;)

Paula, just hang in there... you know it will work out! I do know myself I almost quit school once or twice... I eventually figured it out for myself. At least she wants to stay in school, so that's one better than me :) (joking, but serious too if you know hwat I mean)

Pam, I really like your idea! I miss the sun. It is so cold and gray here :( That was a super sexy ghost I had on my lap, wasn't he? I think we were all jealous of your beads :p
Congrats to your DD!!!

Tara, good luck with the CC as well as the school work. I do not envy you for either one of those!
I am laughing because that must be something in the air with needy kids & pets.... what you described is exaclty what Cleo has been doing to me lately  My dad always claimed pets were like small kids... guess he is right

Woo hoo on booking your Oct trip, Nancy! Where are you staying?
Your family shows up fine to me, but I've noticed that recently a lot of pics aren't showing up quite right all the time

I'll second the travel books!! They are really good to have around not only for trips but for general reference if something comes up on the travel channel or some other strange thing that requires knowing about a particular location. We were able to look up the place i'm going for my white water rafting trip.

Elaine...animals and kids are VERY similar!! you have to cook for them, play with them, entertain them, clean up after them, listen to them whine, yup not much different!! (although it kind of sounds like a husband too!! :teeth: )

Teeth are done, feels much better. I think I will live a while longer!! woohoo!!

I've re-entered 10 of the 40 kids back into the computer!! It went a lot more smoothly than I anticipated. I very openly explained that I was the one that screwed up and they were very sympathetic. My 6th graders pointed out that "kids make lots of mistakes too".

Okay, i've just realized that today is wednesday and I really need to get busy planning what i'm doing in two hours for my tutoring class. oh no!!

Oh and if anyone has any experience with going to Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party, please let me know. I am going to start a thread about it.

see ya!!
tara

Elaine, nope, that wasn't the same place I was looking at over there. I'm just a tad confused, but that's okay, I'm pretty at home that way so it's cool. I wound up someplace that was talking of signing up for advance notice on ticket sales, etc. Thought: "Hmm. Sounds good to me, okay". Signed up for that. Then saw your Gomer link. Then apparently there's another area to register at the boards. I dunno. Anyhoo, I took the "register everywhere approach" .I think I registered for like a quadrillion different times for Lord knows what. Snork. Oh. Saw a few Cedarville pics over there too. :p

Hey, I think I have a "biscuit oven" like Alan and Rebecca had. It's cute!! Tiny little oven on top and the big one on the bottom.

:rotfl: Color of tupperware!! :rotfl: Mine is burnt orange. How embarrassing.

Got a clingy kid/dog here too.

White water rafting!? Ooooh!! Fun stuff!!! When are you going Tara?

Tara...go for the CEC party. They're fun....and not at your house ;)
We've done that, Show Biz pizza, miniature golf, bowling, skating, McD's, Burger King, pizza, sleep overs  , camp outs, and about anything else you can think of.
Going away from home is the best.....easy cleaning and good time frame getting people to leave.

I go with tour books also, Alan.
We always get the AAA books for our state every year....maps too.
They are loaded with great things to try out, prices, discounts, motel info.
And then for every state we ever visit. A valuable resource.

:yay: for Dad being in FL, Elaine. Wish I was there too ;)

:teeth: Kimmie has a biscuit oven :)
Speaking of ovens, I still need to get cookies made....these are for next week and going into the freezer.

I just thought about the color of tupperware remark (thanks to Kimmie) and it reminded me that it was only about 8 years ago that my mother finally gave up her side by side fridge that was avacado green :lmao: was the uglist dang thing!! But it was bought when I was born and never quit working once. It was ugly but it was good!!

And yes, we still have some burnt orange tupperware...along with the harvest yellow!! The house we have now had orange carpet in the den when we moved in and we didn't change it until Jarrod was about 2 years old!! hehehe

getting lots of responses on the CEC question. Now i'm rethinking it!! ahhaha
tara

ack...i'm such a dork...Kimmie I am going rafting in June (the first weekend I beleive). This is my attempt to make sure I haven't lost my youth!! Even if I had one of my students say to me, "Ms. D, you need to color your hair ASAP! mmm" :rotfl: Yes I know my roots are 3 inches long and showing vast quantities of white...but I really don't need some smart aleck 14 year old telling me what to do!! hhehehehe

tara

I vote for an away party too. CEC was/is good when mine were little. Tara, glad you have the bite problem corrected. Nice that the kids have learned that big people make mistakes too. Tara, you are the bestest teacher!

Kimmie has a bun in the oven? Is that what I've read?

Elaine, hope Dad has a great time.

Nancy, when are ya goin in Oct? I thought you mentioned it way back, but I fergot.

Lots doing here. Not sure which direction to go.

Pssttt.... Kim, I actually went whitewater rafting 4 years ago! :faint:

little hammy!!!! that's so cute!! :lmao:

yes kimmie...a raft with 6 or 7 people in it all trying to manuver it down the river without killing anyone!! We will go up friday night, raft all day saturday, drink saturday night (well that's what they tell me...I certainly won't be participating ;) )

made it home from work, dropped my jump drive off at my db's house to see if he can recover any of the lost data...he's going to try but he isn't too hopeful. but I got to see my neice...and she is the cutest thing. Although the minute she saw me she burst into tears and raced for daddy!! hehehe but with the help of her small plush heffalump we made up and she was kissing me by the time I left. She'll be a year old on April 1st. i can't believe it!! She makes me want to try for a girl next!! heheh don't think its happening but it is a nice thought!!

CEC...I'm thinking of scaling it down and just having his cousins and then taking cupcakes in to his class either the friday before or the monday after his birthday. oy vey!!

you all have a good evening and try and stay out of trouble!!

tara

Excuse me, I'm tired... so I am just saying hi and good night!

Had supper with a friend and then talked to my dad... been watching 24 with Luis. It's my compromise. I won't watch AI, so I will watch something I don't really care for but don't refuse to watch. GOod way to spend time with Luis :)

I'll ketchup tomorrow :wave2:
